Voice Guessing Thread: Deadline April 16th

Greetings all. Do forgive me if I take the moderation of the next voice thread upon myself. Vella told me to, so please feel to express all objections directly to her.

As with the other voice guessing threads, the plan is to PM to me, no later than April 16, a story that I will then post anonymously to the story thread. Once all stories are in, I'll give us all a list of entrants and we'll have fun guessing at who might be whom. I thought I would moderate because I am terminally incapable of providing the slightest challenge as a competitor.

This week's entries should be no more than 800 words. Our theme du jour: food. Entries can be erotic or non-erotic, but should involve food at some point.

I'll try to get one in for this one, but no promises. My wife and I have been fitting a new bathroom suite (ourselves - cheapskates!) and there's still a lot to do, but I think I got the last leak fixed this morning, so a day's rest (hence my presence here) before the redecorating starts. Any writing will need to be fitted in between wall panelling, tiling, etc.

Best of luck to you, Alex. I would need to be a great deal more competent before I would dare to undertake such a task. The SO keeps insisting that we can put a brick raised bed into the backyard on our own; my lack of faith is in me, not the SO, but leads me to envision a half-built wallow of mortar and muddy bricks occupying our yard for the rest of our natural lives. When it comes to home repair/improvement projects, I'm about as competent and goal-oriented as Mr. Toad.

Well, for a retired civil servant-cum-part-time-university-tutor, so far I've installed a kitchen (including wiring and plumbing), built a (low and fairly short, but straight and vertical) brick wall and (mostly) refitted a bathroom. Oh, and built/assembled/updated several PCs.

None of which I plan to repeat, except (probably) the PC. There is no way I'm pushing my luck that far!
