Variations on a theme

And that, I'm afraid calls time on B&W week, but feel free to post B&W pics that fitbin with this week's theme which is

Imperfections

Be they blemishes or scars, cracks or breaks, dents, scratches, missing pieces or whatever, go wild! Let your imaginations and creative eyes loose and see what you come up with!

As ever, play nice, and let's keep in the spirit of the thread.

One additional thing this week - I won't accept anyone posting a pic of themselves saying that they are the imperfection. That's bullshit. None of us are perfect, but equally none of us are the mistake. We're here to build ourselves and each other up, not tear them down 😘

Using film can lead to many imperfections. A pinhole 35mm camera that takes double frames...The last shot and i thought it would be a good one when i took it. Rewinding and there were a crunch and then the rewind turned freely... the film had snapped. Loaded the camera into a dark bag and retrieved the two parts of the film, then loaded the main part onto the processing spool... cut the final piece from the film canister and carefully slotted it in (this was done by feel only as it has to be done in complete darkness) and very carefully processed it, so as not to dislodge the last piece of the roll. Then i taped the two bits together and scanned the negative.
Ilford Ortho film - not had that snap before.

Those are the petals I catch myself absentmindedly stroking and tracing, fingertips grazing the ripples and tiny veins that rise beneath the surface, all while scanning for any signs of sunspots amongst the leaves.

Beautiful image, it made me linger. 😍
I may have gone back to that tulip farm for a second visit, where I noticed more imperfections.

Imagine the joy and life that one little imperfection brings to the entire flower. The colours become more vivid, the scent even sweeter, the texture - silken, velvet, riper than the juiciest fruit.

It’s not a flaw. Not even close. It was meant to be. Something only the right eyes would notice.

Please keep going back. Again and again and again ❤️
