I imagine, after the past 24hrs, that the vast majority of listers who like and follow this thread will give short shrift to anyone who's too thirsty or out of order.

I really can't. Today would have been 4 naked chests, but I can't and shouldn't have any expectations that people should have to show any self control online

So I don't know how to go forward.

The whole point of the thread was that it was somewhere people who don't feel comfortable posting sexy pics could post on a level field with those who do. But it was a stupid idea

People will be told if they cross it, and they are. If they choose to take it personally and sulk, let them. But I don't see the need for this reaction. It makes no sense to me.

But as I've said to you in private. This is YOUR thread. You make the rules and decide what YOU want to put up with.

We're all still here and still wanting to post and interact, so I'd say that we're all fine with how it is. If you're not, then that's ok.

Obviously do what you need to do and I know the followers of this thread will support you and the thread.

Man, you got a vision for this thread. I'm not exactly following it. I got a full plate elsewhere.

Thing is, don't let anyone shit on your creation. Keep plowing ahead. It's your creation, miscues and all. It wouldn't be Lit without a hiccup or two. In any case, we all are a bit of a perv just by virtue (love that word) of being on Lit to begin with. Some sexy skin is going to happen and invariably, some chode will come in and make an ass of things.

Laugh it off and move full steam ahead I say. Not the end of the world. If anything, imo, it makes it better to see people continue on despite weird setbacks.

You've been much more successful here than you are able to see at the moment.

I suspect your frustration and disappointment over the past 24 hours comes in the midst of stressful holidays and the fatigue of daily prompts and whatever else might be going on for you personally. Many/most of us on Lit come here for an escape from or to something.

We all have favorite threads. Places here that feel safe and welcoming and build community. They are rare lights amongst many threads that have no intention to provide safety or community. This thread is one of those rare lights and YOU have kept it's light going.

People often disappoint us. It's sadly normal. And a few hosers who didn't understand this is the wrong place to pick a fight over norms of behavior have been the great exception here, not the norm.

If the 12 days idea feels tainted, maybe just take a break and start fresh with weekly prompts after the New Year.

Stiff upper lip. Stay calm and carry on.

Notice how many people are so grateful to you Salty.
