UK Citizens, friendsreunited

Dinner was stuffed veal with roasties and herby big tomatoes. Then Cantal as a poor substitute for cheddar with kiwis - to celebrate their victory. Followed by apple pie and creme fraiche.

Hi :)

Glad you enjoyed the site - now if I could just post a link on the UK directory thread to this thread..

Cote - where are you when I need you?

I'm not so sure any more - it's like real time travel back - good and bad, aigre doux.
Just a bit of one reply,
"Good god - what else can I say! (Altho I am an ardent atheist)

How fantastic to hear from you. Quite stunning.

Send me your phone number. We have a lifetime of news to catchup - including the saddest of all, the death of Regina/Niusia from cancer 2 years ago.

Yes, I remember the midsummer's promise and all the fun we had (and the Southern Comfort and the fondues). I still have the farthing and all your poems (snails featured heavily) and read them from time to time. Do you still write?"

and there are others.

Anyone else share theirs?

And the sun is shining. What a full moon at daybreak. One of those mornings when it is not just the sun which rises - must be the thoughts of Anneski's story. Good morning

John

Thankyou, thankyou, THANKYOU!!! I just got my first reply from an old friend... Oh BTW should I be getting a complex? two of my ex B/F from school are now GAY! Do you think I spoilt the female of the species for them?? :p

Only joking :D

Good morning. I may have been originally v. sceptical and tight-fisted. But one former pupil has just written to say that I taught him how to wheeler deal - his business has grown from £200k to £20m in the past four years.
Quid multa?

You should ask where your "cut" of the money is for consultancy fees...lmao

Didn't cross my mind Viv - but I'll take up his offer to call in and see him when I'm in the UK.

The irony is he says I introduced him to alcohol and that's where he's made his business - and I've had to stop boozing myself!!

Which in itself has made me a lot richer.

Life's full of funny twists.

Thanx - I had to pay the £5 enrolment fee for vivacia - now the dog can't have any pocket money this week......

Cheeky git

I paid that out of MY wages you cheeky bugger!

And the dog would only waste his money on gravy bones!

They're piling in these old friends. The latest - a girl who lives in Scotland. She ditched me and it's hurt for years - and now she's replied. Happily married of course.
But I was so reluctant to pay my fiver.

But this one began,

"Dear John
How wonderful to hear from you! I am so happy you got in touch."

Is it healthy to go back 30 years like this?

But a possible source of good story material.

friend reunited . Thanks Jass

I don't see as it would be unhealthy, unless it became all you were interested in.. ;)

Obsessions of any kind aren't good. Except of course for mine with Capri's, and that isn't an obsession, it's a religion...

No it's not yet an obsession - just these old memories of early romantic encounters

So tell us, Anneski, what did you do in a capri in times past?

better than filling your head with nonsense.

Which Capri have you chosen? What does it guzzle?

He he he....

Well, we're looking at 3 over the weekend, but I only really want the one.. a 2.8 injection... others are 2 litres, the same as my current one...
Sadly had to decline the V6 version.. wasn't reliable :(
S'pect it will guzzle 4 star... not to my tastes <grin>

I have been on the site since September , 2001 and met in real life again 4 of my old school mates, and 1 teacher , seemed odd going out for a drink with an old school teacher , who used to tell you off for drinking in the back of the class room !!!...lol.lol....

Well Sarah, what an unreasonable bloody teacher. Hypocrite.

And Jass and all, the original sceptic is going to look up an old flame this week. She's getting a tiny it less enthusiastic.
