Twenty Somethings

No, My. That Hook up show I was telling you about was entertaining. I got a few good laughs out of it. Especially my fave part when the guy/girl can either go on the date or go with whats behind the curtain. One guy got picked by a girl, but he chose the curtain and got $25 :D He could have went on a free date instead :D

Imagine being that girl though....had a guy pick the curtain rather than go on a date with her...how sad....

Anyone get a song in their head that just WON'T LEAVE??? I have Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond in my head....problem is the only lyrics I know are...Sweet Caroline and then the bum bum bum that follows...so sad...

Hello, 21/M here.

Hmm... where to start? First off, yes, I've had a few songs stuck in my head, like right now that song "Stacy's Mom Has Got it Going on..." from the Dr. Pepper commercial won't stop playing. I hate it when songs keep repeating and it gets really annoying. However, I have found MY solution to that problem is listen to another song!

As for any advice or words of wisdom, I can't really think of anything except for all this:

1. If you haven't had sex yet, don't fret. It will happen sometime.
2. No matter how young people may think you are, you'll always feel older.
3. It could be just me, but memory loss starts here. "Get a planner/organizer." is what they tell me, and it's worked out for me so far.

Umm... I guess that's it.

Alright, after some digging... here is my first official stalker report/psychoanalysis =P

Not sure if you were born there, but you have lived in the Boston area for a large portion of your life, where your parents, who have been married for nearly 26 years, still reside. Currently you are in Graduate School in Georgia, after studying at UMASS-Amherst. The most I got of your field of study was "History".

You are (Or were, as of the last report I saw) a 22 year old virgin, who is (Or was, at least) on the pill, which are both commendable decisions, even if one negates the necessity for the other. Seems to me the reason you are still a virgin has some to do with choice, and some to do with fear... or at least anxiety. What I mean by this, is that you are worried about both letting someone down, and being let down yourself. Perfectly normal reactions, really. Its a good thing, too, as it shows you are neither conceited nor overly self conscious. You are more concerned about what people say, than what they think.. if that makes any sense whatsoever.

You present yourself as looking for someone with a bit more "thought" put into you than the usual people you meet. Someone who would rather do something with you, than drag you along to do what he wants to do... even if doing something with you means staying home and doing absolutely nothing.

Personally, I find you an interesting person.. in that you are definately NOT the kind of person you would find around here. I live in an area containing alot of the people you spoke of at one point... young, wild kids looking to get as drunk as possible, as often as possible. A little party here and there never hurt anyone, but I could -never- do that on a frequent basis.

In total, I only find two things wrong with you at all....

1) You live too damn far away =P
2) I now have "Sweet Caroline" stuck in my head, and I only know those same damn words! =P

How'd I do?!

For the record, there was plenty more information... just not about to go repeating all the details without permission!

Hi HC....welcome to the thread....thanks to you now I have Stacy's Mom in my head.....wonderful....I've found that I can listen to all the other songs that I want, but as soon as I'm done listening...the old song just pops right back into my head. That is of course unless I've listened to another catchy song that I then have stuck in my head.

Oh and I figured out about the memory loss a LONG time ago. Bought myself two big dry erase calendars so that I could write down everything that's going on for the next two months...very sad but I think I'm getting old...

Ooh... sorry for the broken record moment of "Stacy's Mom". Today I've got one of my favorite songs playing in my head, Monster Magnet's "Heads Explode".

I think the solution for your "as soon as I stop" problem may be to get a 5 disc changer stereo or something to that effect. It's really helped me a lot, expecially when I've had that problem.

I would get myself something like the dry erase boards, but really, I have NOWHERE to put them! I'll just have to figure out what to do if I decide to give that idea a shot, but for now, I'm just sticking with a planner/organizer.

Here's something to add to my two cents of Twenty-Somethings:

Banana splits are STILL great even in the 20's!

Don't worry about it...I got in my car, turned on the radio...and Stacy's Mom is gone...replaced by that new Lonely song by Akron or something like that. But I recently got a new car and it only has a single disk changer...broke my heart...I miss my six disk...

They're not boards...they're pretty much just 15 x15 pieces of laminated paper that look like blank calendars, so you can fill in the month and the days, and then anything else. They're great. I have them hanging on an empty wall in my study so that I can see them while I sit at my desk. I know they also make one that has two months on it side by side...but I have pretty big handwriting so I like the one month ones cause the boxes are bigger...it's like going back to kindergarden and learning to stay inside the lines...But I find with planners/organizers I NEVER write in them....ever. To each his or her own though...whatever works...

Hmmm...I'm gonna have to pass on the banana spilt though. I hate bananas and I avoid ice cream as much as possible.... ;)

Hehe, sorry, didn't mean to creep ya out.

Just havin fun, I was just too damn bored for my own good, hehe.

Perk: Being able to do as I please
downfall: taking responsibility for my my actions

I hate being so young but I know I don't want to get much older. I am graduating college in Man and then have grad school for the fall. But that is only one day a week so I'm all lost on what else to do with my time.

Ah yes...you're at the place I was about this time last year...I dunno about you but I had about three nervous breakdowns between now and May....it was terrible...and all the things I was freaking out about turned out to be a figment of my imagination.

I've been in grad school for 8 months now...and I still haven't figured out what to do with my free time...that is WHEN I have free time...which isn't often...

LOL @ the last cople of posts. Just when I thought this thread would be friendly we get an apologizing stalker. Oh boy.

And to correct you, My, Lonely is by Akon. I like that song as well, but I like his other song Locked Up with Styles P. in it. Great. Now I got Locked Up in my head now.
