Ready and outta here earlier than "normal," whatever-the-fuck that is.

Settings on appliances, I reckon. Not "recon." That's something else entirely.

:(

This place is all I got.

This is sad. Insh'Allah that it never become this way for Allah's Chosen Few. Not Chosin Reservoir - that's something else entirely.

Got weasels what need seein', and this car needs petrol . . . .

I predict that you will solve the wiring problem, that I will make bacon, I will make fresh coffee and I will get new books.

I just spent a few hours of my life watching an old movie. It started out well and then ended up lame.

"English literature undergrads at Cambridge University were warned about a lecture on two plays by William Shakespeare that would include references to sexual violence and sexual assault. The warnings were intended to give students who may be upset about those topics an excuse to miss the lecture."
Do they not have access to Game of Thrones?
The real question is, with the state of "Liberal" (increasingly illiberal) Education, can the precious snowflakes even understand the words of a dead white man?
I did a bunch of Shakespeare's plays in high school, I thought they were wonderful. Have things really been so dumbed down? I've always loved the classics though and I even have a few treasured first editions.

Friday is finally here, I work this weekend but it's a stripped shift so only the basics and no people to deal with. Monday our winter temp starts, it's the brother of our spring temp and I hired him because his brother was reliable and a great worker and recommended him. If he's even half as good I'll be happy.

Our High School was built as an answer to overcrowding and forced bussing. It also featured an innovative curriculum that was supposed to mimic college and therefore preparing us for advanced education. Course work was based on nine and 18-week units. You still needed x number of units to fulfill the state English requirements, but each course was divided into things like poetry, science fiction and Shakespeare. I enjoyed the nine-week course in the latter and have read most of the collective works of the bard.

I've never seen one of the plays and when I see the movie versions, I fall asleep.

Worst pound of bacon ever.

First off, it's supposed to be sliced. Like the old joke, "Why do they slice American cheese and then press it back together again like plywood?"

So, I tore it all apart, but try as I might, it keeps sticking itself back together. This might be the Chucky of pigs...

Okay, the bacon tastes better than it looks, but it still lacks consistency.

Some of it is overdone, some of it is underdone, and some of it it just right. It's like I'm trying to invite Goldilocks to breakfast instead of inviting hell...

;) ;)

Tomorrow, I am going on a quest for new books.

The first stop is the dollar store, it's getting close to the Christmas shopping season (is Black Friday being moved up to October 27?) so they are stocking up on new titles that nobody has ever read, and then it's off to Barnes and Noble.

I would feel better if it was Barns and Humble...

Might i suggest:

Very well researched and written.

I've seen several of the plays and I love them, I've also been to a few operas and musicals. They are rare treats that I wish I could indulge in more but I've never seen more than bits and pieces of Star Wars

Home. Late. went out and dined, such as that dump is.

I have a little friend now. She paid for supper, which was nice. I may also be taking in another roomie/housemate arrangement. This one will be way different - no dog, for one. Just a cranky old boy cat. And I won't be here but 2 days out of every 7, so there's that, too. We meet tomorrow to discuss arrangements. And yes, she has work.

And no, it's not like that.

And Feces Feaster needs to go viral, like Grumpy Cat:

Every day s a day we can rejoice that Allah revealed himself to the one true prophet and that he shows us the way through the glorious Qu'ran.

Religious ecstasy is ours for the taking.

I may have to go and blow something up now.

Perhaps I shopuld have a second cuppa first . . . .

I left the bike uncovered Thursday night, and I parked it under the Whatsname Tree in the front yard.

Well, the tree is oozing some sappy crap. And dripping it.

And it made a mess on my motorcycle. So, I get to clean that crud off it here in a bit, before the morning's outing. It's always something.

And I hear a tree rat outside singing a song. It sound like About To Eat A Bullet Blues . . . .

I'm on work detail this weekend and I'm so used to starting early I was up before the alarm and once my cup is empty I'll be packing up and done at the shop.

And to-do lists are never ending, I don't know anyone who completes everything every day so it's automatically added to the next day.

I've never made it through any Star Wars movie; it bores the pants off me...

Good luck with that. You certainly are better off if someone responsible is there to watch the house.

That tree sap can be tenacious stuff.

I wish I had a quick-fix solvent solution at hand for you, but nothing is coming to mind.
