Praises to Allah!!!

We should get a chat going about the Nature of Allah, to listen to all of the Great Minds tell us how they fathom the unfathomable. It would stoke the fires of Allah's Islamist Hell, like they, or he, need any help.

Packed up. It's a light load this week. Got a few things to tidy up, and then off to score some petrol and to pound some pavement.

Insh'Allah that your day is wondemous . . . .

I'm off in a bit for my annual checkup.

"Hi Doc."

"Hi, how ya doing? Any problems?"

"Yeah, I'm having a problem getting my loading for the 90 gr. bullet for my 25-06 dialed in. Any suggestions?"

"Nope."

"OK, see ya next year."

"See ya."

Yeah, and that would be awkward for them. The Feds use our range for annual qualification and as often as not I'm the RSO for those shoots.

Happy Traitor Surrender Day to NotIshmael and NotAJ!

On this day in history in 1865, traitor Robert E. Lee surrendered his traitor mob of Confederates to General Ulysses S. Grant. Why he wasn't hung then and there is beyond me. At a minimum, he should have been allowed to "fall on his sword".

Home - up in the hills.

The landlady is out of town for the week, and she took the poodles with her, so I have to house to myself. I would have brought the cats if that had been an option. Meh.

So I guess I'll start shopping for a place down the road. Assuming that all goes as planned, we should report there before 30 days elapse.

Driving out here days are the longest of the week, by far . . . .

Damn, Spearechucker.
Where's that post?

You once cracked a joke about how janitors and car salesmen who are looked down upon by snotty upper class-ers,
learned to play the game and act humble, while laughing at them by charging them extra.

It's only marginally related, but that joke popped into my mind I after came across the following article. See my (lengthy:eek:) post below.

MY COMMENT

As I see things, the error of the GB (and probably America’s Left) discourse about xenophobia and racism is that they fail to consider the different dynamics. And actually, by generalizing and refusing to discuss less PC issues, they actually worsen things.

Yes, for most racists and xenophobes, it’s about the JBJ top-down approach.
But for others it's more about economics and social standing.
Imo, the article explains brilliantly the above root of some of the xenophobia among the non JBJ White lower Australian class.

Could related dynamics partially apply to some of the nonJBJ Trump supporters?

EXCERPT (less than 10% of the article)

In Defence of the Bad, White Working Class
https://meanjin.com.au/essays/in-defence-of-the-bad-white-working-class/

“I spent much of my childhood in a predominantly white and working class.
It was here that I became ashamed of my family’s racist attitudes.
--I suspect that the shame I felt about my parents’ racism sprang mostly from experience: the bulk of my friends were Vietnamese and Chinese, and their families seemed more admirable than mine.
--I also had the chance to see myself through migrant eyes, and what I saw was often confronting.
Poor whites were scorned by more than a few of the Chinese and Vietnamese migrants I came to know.

But after migrating into a middle-class lifestyle I’ve become less judgemental.
--The people of colour whom I call friends are all university educated and English-rich, and they share most of my basic interests and concerns. If they are registered as ‘other’, it is a very diluted form of otherness. We are never confronted by aggressive people as we go about our daily business, and we enjoy a prevailing sense of safety and certainty.
-- For precariously employed, unskilled labourers, the prospect of competing against a recent migrant for a job is inevitable, while for middle-class people it is only a remote possibility—and our competitors are typically required to undergo extensive and onerous retraining, which puts them at a significant competitive disadvantage. In short, our empathy and values are largely untested, and our livelihoods rarely, if ever, come under threat.

Levels of general hostility to migrants are, I suspect, partly contingent on class experiences like the ones I’ve described.
At one end of the spectrum, professional or middle-class migrants enlarge the dimensions of what it means to be a professional or middle-class Australian, in a relatively controlled, seamless and enriching way; at the other end, poor and criminal migrants enlarge the dimensions of what it means to be poor and criminal in Australia, in a relatively chaotic, fragmented and sometimes frightening way.

I also bragged about how I sold worthless camping lots to people from KC who just knew they were taking advantage of me and my hayseed looks and language.

However, once they're gone, I clean up nicely.

I can go to the city and fit in.

All the wiser...

beew, Limbaugh used to say this (years ago when I listened to him) that when the national press has to report any sort of story when it comes to the America outside of their enclaves that they have to send foreign correspondents.

Let me add that a lot of these reporters grew up in middle America and are as ashamed of that and work as hard as the recovered alcoholic or born-again evangelical to spread the word and prove that they "belong" in their new religion and should not be at all associated with their shameful past.

They saw nothing worthy of learning there.............so they learned nothing.
