J get to drive home tomorrow with the possibility of a smidgen more than a skiff (skift?) of snow, and temps colder than a well digger ass. I'm good natured about it all now, not so much in a month or so.

Mom is 85 and got a smart phone last year (or early this one - it doesn't matter). She digs it.


But she still signs her texts. I remind her she doesn't have to.


She tells me to mind my own fucking business. Her words. Really.


She'll be 86 next week.

Looks like we just get a rainy week. I can hardly wait. As long as I can stay halfway dry, and as long as my feet don't get cold-n-wet, it won't suck too bad.


I checked my bank balances, forgetting is was a federal holiday yesterday. Everything looked funny. It'll sort itself out tonight.


Got the out-of-town conference this weekend. I wonder how much of it I'll actually attend and how much I'll sleep through.

Damn cold out today (16F) but we got a warming trend coming our way. Back up to the mid 50's by tomorrow.

So I'm reading the news and one "New's" organization is saying that the CA fires are the 'deadliest' in US history with 42 deaths so far. Really? What about the Peshtigo fire back in 1871 that killed upwards of 2,500?

That's true, but this one is even more so.

At some point, I expect it to be on the banned list because of its treatments of blacks (especially language) and gays (when Bunny gets beat up).
 
Home. Sitting contentedly. No, tiredly. More fucking trim today.


The Prima Donna (Baby Bro Yo) got his way to work on his shit without me close by, so I had to move to the other side of the building. So I did, a bit grudgingly, but quietly. I then proceeded to knock the fuck out of two units and then back up and do a bit of punch work. It seems that Donna (for short) had sand in his vagina and cunt do the difficult deadbolts because the holes were drilled for the old school ones and needed to be widenized. I know how, I've already made my template for drilling it/them, so I just did it - to avoid listening to the cunting. It's just so fucking sad.


His thanks for the whole thing? He was told yesterday to get three (3) units of cabinet production done today. He got one. 1. That's all - one. No doubt about it, su cucaracha es llena de arena.


Dawn better be viewable tonight . . . .


 
The senior PM called today. Seems the maintenance twits at the job we finished last year keep squabbling about how we "ain't finished."


Seems the warranties all ran out and now they have to go back to work and actually fix something. Too bad they didn't get the warranty techs to show them how shit works. :rolleyes:


They must not know how to sort shit out watching a Yout00b. Feckink00ntz.


A skiff of sleepiness seems to have showed up, so . . . .

 
We had snow this morning. Big, fat, and fluffy, it was beautiful!

It didn't stick to the ground tho, so no skiffs. Maybe that kind of snow should be called a pirogue of snow? :D

Fucking winter storm warning for tonight. The forecast makes it look a bit presumptive, but Wat doesn't have a weather rock to use to make forecasts.


The "lead guy" is driving back home - guess he's leaving tonight. A good friend's wife died, so he's going to the funeral. He said he'd come back Friday.


No matter, Wat is leaving tomorrow night. DC this weekend . . . .

 
Morning Wat.

All we got this AM is cold. Warmer than yesterday, ~20 F, fortunately not much of a wind chill. Off the the range in a bit and today will be a good test of the Hornady Dry Lube I've been using now since last spring. I've been keeping an eye on my weapons, especially the auto-loaders for any signs of wear. None so far so it seems to be doing the lube part. Will it still perform in the cold though? We shall see. Regular gun oil starts turning into the consistency of axle grease when it gets cold enough and shit stops working.

It'll also be a test of the new powder I've been using (RL-26). It's alleged to have the broadest temperature range of any powder in it's class and we'll see about that as well.
 
We used to be tough enough not to need wind chill.

I don't think we pussy up during summer!

It's going to by 99º today, but the wind chill will make it feel 86º.
