I'm still using an old 12V model. If I'd had to use it as a professional tool it would have been in the trash years ago. But it gets done what I need to get done. I've replaced batteries twice now.

If they weren't so damn convenient I'd have bagged the whole battery powered notion years ago. The whole marketing scheme is the same as razors and printers.

Buffalo drumsticks will be around tonight, they are already marinating and will be bbq'd later.

We need to develop a suspended animation sleep chamber so humans can bypass winter and cut down and energy usage for heating.

Happy Friday!!!

Walmart effed up my tire purchase and is refunding me money. then they did it - three times. Who is Wat to question the decisions of the accounting department of a multi-gazillion dollar outfit doing bizness in the You Ess of Ayy??? Knowing Wat, he'll just piss the money away on firearms or bullion.

The drive home was in a light rain all the way. Much of it was close to freezing - but not quite. There were places when the light was behind trees with ice on the branches. I've always loved that look. I just hate scraping it off. And we lost large branches on a couple of trees at the apartment complex. Too much ice and too many leaves.

There be package to go north later this morning. Laundry is in . . . .

Morning Wat.

Regular heat wave here today. Looking to break 60 F.

As predicted the Mulberry tree is bare. Took all of two days after the hard freeze and fortunately there was a mild North wind so the bulk of the leaves ended up in the street. The cities street cleaning machine will make short work of them. When the leaves first started coming down they were falling so fast I initially thought it was raining outside by the sound on my roof.

I have to go see the doctor for some routine tests this AM so that's pretty much going to shoot the rest of the day. I need a clone.

Good luck at the doctor's.

Mom went yesterday and pissed-n-moaned in my ear while I was driving about how there were sick people there. I think that, deep in her coal black heart, she really hates sick people. But she was pretty good to us kids when we were little and sick.

I was sieving through the mail and got yet another check from the class action suit against my criminal bank-n-mortgage holder. Because of mortgage criminality. Free money - likely some of my money back. I love my criminals - they're mine, and they send money.

I'll probably piss that away on guns-n-bullion, too.

There's a job possibility.

Two point five times the base pay here.

It's as a contractor, but that means tax deductions out the ass, like every inch I drive. We've done this before. And the work is (supposed to be) all turn-key. Student apartment buildings. Git 'er dun right and who gives a fuck when they tear them up.

We'll see . . . .

I have a slower afternoon than expected today, I may take a couple of hours and play hookie. A long drive in with the pups to warm up the engine might be just the thing to relax me.

Couple of fuckers. Well, I saw them, so what I want doesn't seem to matter to Allah, damn his hide.

I forgot how expensive the greater swamp area is. Like needlessly 20% higher, and then there's the dumb shit like hotel appetizers. So we'll be going for wee rides to eat things.

They have a hospitality room, but they could have used some pointers on setting it up. Step one: go to the Walmart and buy some goodies for folks to eat. It's pretty easy after that.

The latest bullion shipment looks lovely. Newest bit is 103 years old. Right up my alley . . . .

Happy Saturday and greetings from the swampy area.

Woke up - just "ding." Had to pee but was wide awake. Oh well. Strange everything and went to bed early, so I guess tha it stands to reason, so to speak.

The hotel room coffee maker is . . . present. I wouldn't really call it "coffee," but it wants me to think it is. It's a bit better than nothing, and it'll do until I get out to get some real coffee.

I should have brought the big cat . . . .

When I was traveling to the "Greater Swamp" I always made it a point to stay in Old Town Alexandria. It wasn't any cheaper, but it was civilized. You could walk to any of a number of different eateries of various prices safely. "Walk" and "Safe" being the operative words in the previous sentence. All and all the Greater Swamp is not to be recommended to anyone of sane mind.

Wat was possessed enough to work up here for awhile, a longish while ago. Quarters in Alexandria were procured for a pittance compared with what some folks were coughing up.

It was nice being able to drive in the opposite direction of the bulk of traffic both morning and night. It would be nice to say that happened by design, but it was pure luck.

Never bought a map and never got hopelessly lost. Except for that one afternoon in DC proper. Even that came to an end.

Large volumes of ethanol helped make it more bearable . . . .
