This thread will do far better in The Playground. It's a faster-paced forum with more members who like games and expect this type of thread. It might do OK in the HTCafe, but that's an even slower forum that How To proper and technically for more in-depth discussions on sex, relationships and issues we might come across in HT threads (although off-topic and playful threads are far more appropriate in there than they are here in How To). If you really like HT'ers specifically, the HT Cafe may be your best bet as long as you're not expecting a rush of responses.

I know HT has become a bit of a hijacking free-for-all of late, but continuing that trend with even more off-topic threads and posts isn't a great idea because it tends to snowball as newbies and others come in, see the off-topic stuff posted, and decide to post whatever pops into their mind, even if it obviously belongs elsewhere. When you've been here as long as I have, it's easy to see the start of the cycle! As I see it, the major problem with this particular cycle is the genuine requests for advice/threads that DO belong here tend to get overlooked or hijacked by people who are trying to join in on the "fun" they see in other hijacked threads, and then the OPs don't get the quality or quantity of advice they deserve.

I'm not criticizing you, and I do get how hard it can be to decide where a thread belongs! I AM trying to give some friendly advice because I know it's more fun when a thread you start takes off and I certainly don't get the sense that you're here to stir the pot.

Anyway, if you want this thread moved (again, I believe it'll do best in the Playground, as long as you tend to it a little if it doesn't gain momentum right away), PM LadyG a nice request with the link, and I'm sure she'll do it for you ASAP. If it's moved, I'd be more than happy to edit this post since it'll become off-topic in the context of a properly placed thread.

Maybe have it moved to the HT Cafe if you don't want to go downstairs to the huge Playground.

Although, having said that I can't fathom for the life of me what The Playground has at all to do with the Personals section it lives in.

The Playground exists because the Personals Board was so overrun with game/fluff/other neverending threads that people who came to that forum looking for personals ads were having trouble finding them.
