The more time I spend online, the more I seem to be discovering my gift for alienating those around me by opening my mouth and speaking my mind, or at least what I have that passes for a mind. 
I really need to learn how to not care about what people say to me, and how to shut up once in a while.

Maybe just being more selective about which rocks you want to chip your pick on would make things easier. I just avoided a protracted discussion on another board just a few minutes ago because at the last second before clicking the send button I thought, this isn't worth the time it's going to cost me.
And sometimes it's not you speaking your mind that's the problem. Too often it's other people who aren't willing to let others speak their mind. They get too defensive too fast trying to protect themselves from another point of view.
Just some thoughts.

I too am multitalented...........I can talk and piss people off at the same time
And of course, I have never been guilty of speaking another's mind rather than my own......one of the things I have learned is to choose your battles. There will always be closed minded idiots and you will always have an opinion..... not all idiots are worthy of your opinion.I agree with Happy about it generally being the other person not listening, but rather thinking of what they will be saying while you are saying your piece. We all love ya just the way you are

Anyone got anything going for Valentine's Day? Given it falls on Monday this year, probably be alot of stuff going on today. I thought I had a Valentine this year, but just didn't pan out So I'll be spending the day like any other; work, school, more work. But I am gonna be wishing everyone here Happy Valentine's Day

- It took me 5 bloody minutes to remember my password so I could log in to the new-look forum. I haven't needed it in over a year here.
- I see they've now got a forum where I can't alter the size of the print by holding down the Control key and playing with the roller on my mouse. Boooooo.
- Screw Bob Goodnow, Gary Betmann, and everyone else involved in the farce that the talks between the NHL and NHLPA have been for the last year. Congratulations on becoming the first pro sports league in the enitre world to lose an entire season to the stupidity of lawyers.

Wooo Hooo, Fancy Smancy....Nigel and I just oooh-ed and ahhhh-ed over the new software. I haven't played around long enough to form an opinion but it explains all of the problems last night and Lit being out of commission today.

They are concerned and are running more tests on Monday. And I am worried.

Anyone know if we can change our layout? I can deal with all the new bells and whisles......but I really liked the other layout *pout* And the damn type is too small to read comfortably.

I've been poking around a bit, and Lusty you might like the chocolate skin. It shows the AV and users info on the left of the post. The font is still kinda small though.
Adding to the well wishes for Jenny, and strength to both her and Oman. Hope you continue to get good reports from the doctors.

You are correct! Looks like they added a few more layouts after I gave up and called it a night.....I'll get used to it, guess there isn't any choice

Gonna take a bit of getting used to this new and improved look, am I the only one that noticed that ages are now displayed with location info? They aren't always correct, but they are there. I also noticed the field "Reputation" (at least on the chocolate layout).....man, that could be fun
Appears the lost pages may be gone forever.....sorry Happy, guess that evening is our little secret
