Good evening TC gang....its still wet here in California with another round of rain predicted for tomorrow and then hopefully it will taper off. My heart feels for those people who have been caught in the mudslides and sinkholes here...so sad. I told Nigel I am so happy that we don't live on a mountain, at the bottom of a mountain or even near one for that matter!

Morning all (Evening Henry) and happy Tuesday. Real good to see NG and SS poke their heads in, things have been way too quite around here.

Oman, sorry to hear life is giving you one of it's adjustments. I dunno, I always thought Omaha was as Norman Rockwell as you could get......

I'm having a couple of "I could use a hug" things. A very close relative is in ICU, the clock is ticking..... And just found out yesterday another close relative may have a return of their cancer. Doesn't anyone die of heart attacks anymore?

I was traveling upstate yesterday when a tire blew out. Checking my spare, I found that it was also flat. My only option was to flag down a passing motorist and get a ride to the gas station.



The first vehicle to stop was an old man in a van. He yelled out the window, "Need a lift?" "Yes, I sure do," I replied. "You a Democrat or Republican?" asked the old man. "Democrat," I replied. "Well, you can just go to Hell," yelled the old man as he sped off.


Another guy stopped, rolled down the window, and asked me the same question. I gave the same answer, "Democrat." The driver gave me the finger and drove off.

I thought it over and decided that maybe I should change my strategy, since this area seemed to be overly political and there appeared to be few Democrats.

The next car to stop was a red convertible driven by a beautiful redheaded woman. She smiled seductively and asked if I was a Democrat or Republican. "Republican!" I shouted.
"Hop in!" replied the redhead.


Driving down the road, I couldn't help but stare at this gorgeous woman in the seat next to me, the wind blowing through her hair, perfect breasts, and a short skirt that continued to ride higher and higher up her thighs.


Finally, I yelled, "Please stop the car."

She immediately slammed on the brakes and as soon as the car stopped, I jumped out. "What's the matter?" she asked. "I can't take it anymore," I moaned. "I've only been a Republican for thirty minutes and, already, I want to screw somebody."
