As I drive down my nations roaad, I often spy the odd
shoe lying by the wayside.

Where do they all come from?

Are they left there by one legged people?

I can't imagine poeple lose there shoes that frequently
without noiticing, theres got to be an odd shoe about every five miles.

I reckon that they (the shoes) are mustering to a secret base
in the Black Mountains, really for a world take over.

Has anyone else noticed which direction they are travelling in?

I had the same conversation with my wife the other day after we drove past a boot in the road.

but they great question confounding western metaphysics is....why only one? And saying it was a one-legged man is too easy..there must be some mystical explanation

They lost one? Maybe it's kids who tossed them as a game and the other one is a few blocks away. Add in a few one legged men and you're covered. ;)

But I've looked for the other ones a few miles on and there just not there. Why would they only toss one shoe out?

The truth is out there somewhere :)

I don't know...I'm a little unsettled by the drive through teller machines in braile.

you think the shoes are in cahoots with those missing left socks? Something is just not right.....
:p

I'd start looking for a clothes dryer with a REALLY long extension cord.

I've come up with another scenario; the mystery shoe broke...the whole bottom of that cheap sneaker came loose, and the person threw it in the garbage, or left it where it broke. The shoe you see is actually the good shoe, tossed as an after thought :)

The sad truth is that the other shoe often went to the morgue with the corpse.

That is horrible! It's probably true too. It may not be a corpse though, even a mildly injured person wouldn't care about a shoe (except me). Also, the question comes to mind of how it goes from corpse to tree top.
