If everyone would just ignore the trolls/idiots/"spoons" they would go away out of boredom. That is unless they are truly placed far down on the wit totem pole. It is like the KKK putting up a cross on Fountain Square every Christmas. They know exactly what response it will get (rabid protests resulting in destruction of the offending cross) and they sit back and smile when it happens. Why do we feed the trolls? They thrive on the attention. Try this one time...ignore them...no matter how despicable the comment...we can't control what they say. We can control how it affects us and how we respond.
That said....I have occasionally used an alias....but only for an obvious bit of humor. Never to be mean.
Meanness to me is a characteristic of a bully and bullies are morons and cowards. I have yet to meet one who wasn't.
Censoring or restricting access to protect our sensitivities is not the answer. All speech should be protected...no matter how inane or offensive.

I have some problems with this whole "expose" concept and that has to do with the fact that ol' Debs there has appointed herself Judge, Jury, and is now asking to be Executioner.
First of all, if she does expose this troll, I'll take it with a grain of salt. I firmly believe in that guilty until proven innocent thing, niggling though it is.
Secondly, she can make allegations until the cows come home, but in cyberspace she cannot back it up with evidence that is more than circumstantial. Emails can be manufactured and inferring things from strings of previous posts and threads is nothing more than inconclusive.
Just because Deborah says Poster X is the troll doesn't mean that Poster X is the troll. Deborah is a known head hunter and is rather vicious. Prior incidents of revealings have been backed up by nothing more than innuendo disguised as voting numbers, email inferences, and a list of threads. This isn't proof and it isn't conclusive.
So, if she wants to reveal the troll, fine. But she had better have some real evidence, not circumstantial evidence or innuendo. Otherwise, as far as I can see, she is simply trolling someone else again. I refer you to the Dillinger Debacle where she had "proof" that Dillinger was committing "voter fraud." I am ashamed to say that I swallowed her rantings hook, line, and sinker.

Dixon, I essentially agree with what you said. I could care less about most of the trolling. But some of the things pycho-bitch has done and is doing I simply cannot igore.
I'm not sure what good "exposing" her will do either, she has so many registered identities and the capability to create more, as Madame Pandora said.

I agree and disagree with some of the above.
There is a difference between people who post under their own handles and those who play games. PERIOD. You all sound like a bunch of scientists explaining how a round peg theoretically COULD fit in a square hole. Reality is more than theory.
You know something – yes, I think trolls should be ignored except for the “fun” element they provide. I think, often, what pisses people off is when the trolls strike a nerve. They often “speak the truth.” I also happen to think the guest feature should remain intact. It serves an important, and often, entertaining purpose.
But don’t confuse the issue. We’re not talking about some poor soul who REALLY wants to express themselves and just doesn’t have the gumdrops. We’re talking about a certified NUTCASE. A little fruit loop who targets the people who DON’T ignore the fights and who DON’T shake it off. And, if for no other reason than it might get her to lie low for a month, I’ll all for it.
You can all rail against Deb as much as you like. Circumstantial evidence, witch hunting, conspiracy theories, etc. I have not always agreed with the comments she makes or the assumptions she makes. 1. I didn't attack Deb. I was investigating my understanding of her position. I am genuinely curious about why she thinks so differently than I do over this topic. I've never attacked Deb. She scares the bejeezus out of me. And I find her unattractvely vicious, though I admire her to an extent. Our paths have never crossed proir to this thread.
2. I actually like KidRock. He occassionaly asks an interesting question, and I ignore the other "babble" threads that happen when he's off his meds. I think of him as the local errant teenager. He's hardly harmful.
3. If you turned out to be a Troll under another name, it honestly wouldn't bother me. I swear to God. This is not a kiss-ass ode to our friendship. If you trolled Lil Brandy, I don't give a shit. You are who you are, I enjoy your brain, and the fact that you might have an anonymous, "outside" opinion, doesn't bother me.
4. I'm not standing on the tired Free Speech platform. I'm saying if you don't like the heat, get the fuck out of the kitchen and stop whining. It's more boring than the bloody trolls.
