Actually, they are not. Chocolate chips are usually semi sweet, and Hershey’s kisses are milk chocolate.

Interestingly, though, milk chocolate chips are best when they’re made by Ghirardelli’s. I learned that when I used to raid my mom’s baking cabinet.
