Avaline, Lily
Avaline took Zues’ advice and left Iolantha and Karl in her cloudy home. The barrier was there, they would not leave the clouds. She had to think, she had to figure out how to protect the other sisters, who were with the new comer, not only that she had not asked about Lily or Michiko. Now she only wanted to curl up on her bed and cry. Richard was no longer a part of her life, he had been returned to his proper place in History, and she was sentenced to death.
Sighing heavily, she sent words of hope to the other Gods and Goddesses. “Please let me complete Lily’s quest as well as the others before you take me.” With a wave of her hand she transported to Lily’s side. Taking a moment to find the right spells she sent Michiko to her home and placed a dream in her mind, one that would tell her to call out for Avaline or Lily if she ever needed them, then all would be revealed to her.
With a wave of her arms, a mist rose, clouds formed, and Lily was soon back in her apartment in Chicago. “It smells odd here…” Avaline noted, but then saw Lily’s brother resting on the couch. “That explains it,” she left the sleeping woman there, never noticing the darkness of the city were there should have been lights of all colors.
Instead of returning to her cloudy home, she continued onward. Her form finally resting on the edge of time. A place that few could find. Here the beautiful Goddess wept for a love that she had been sure would stand the paths thru time.
