Karl / Io / Avaline / NPC's // Infirmary // Germany 1942

Karl was surprised when Io kissed him he hadn’t expected that response from her. So Richard was Avaline’s lover who had got lost when they’d travelled.

He listened in partial disbelief when Io said she could contact her sisters through space and time, but as he now believed their story he had to accept what she said was true.

Nodding his agreement that they should go to Avaline, he received the kiss before she went behind the screen to dress. He turned back to his bed and dressed himself, waiting for Io to come from behind the screen.

When she appeared he put his arm around her and whispered. “Everything’s going to be alright,” before opening the door and guiding her to the infirmary.

“How’s the patient he asked of the orderly,” as the doctor was nowhere in sight.

“She’s not doing very well sir,” the orderly replied.

“You’d better be quick then,” Karl said to Io as he took his arm from her giving her control of the situation.

Io/Karl/Avaline/Germany/1942

Nodding silently I move closer to the bed where the beauty lay holding my breath and preying that this would work. It was my only hope, maybe one of my sisters knew where Richard was and could help get him here to us.

"Avaline, hun its Io" Reaching out I take her hand in mine, feeling the lightness of it. My fears choking me badly as I look down at Avaline seeing how she seemed to have shrunken from life within the few hours that she had been brought here. Brushing my fingers softly up her arm to gently touch upon her cheek. "I am going to try and help Avaline, maybe one of my sisters will know where Richard is hun, if we can find him then we will make sure you two will be ok together and things will be ok. Karl says everything will be ok Avaline and I believe him, please Avaline you have to believe as well."

Turning I find a chair near the bed, pulling it toward the bed I sit upon it. Knowing that both the orderly and Karl are behind me. Looking back over my shoulder to Karl I ask softly. "Karl would you um.. I promise not to harm her if he was to leave the room. Please Karl you can stay and sit here with me if you want but I need to um..." My eyes take in the orderly and then look to Karl once more. If I were to show what I was about to do in front of the man would it cause more damage then good I wondered.

Karl must have understood my problem since he turned telling the orderly that I wanted some privacy and that he would stay with me and their patient. I didn't pay much attention to the orderlys words or his arguements over the matter. Instead I turn and once again take Avaline's hand within my own and start to concentrate. Holding out my other hand in a cup formation I begin to form the shimmering ball. Seeing the magical lines of energy make up the circular formation, perfectly round shimmering with a glow of the lightest blue.

I felt rather then seen Karl move up behind me, his gasp of surprise was the only thing I heard from him as I continued to concentrate on the making of the sphere.
Once I felt the ball was formed properly I begin to speak in urgency. "Hear me my sisters, my beloved sisters. I miss you all so greatly but I have need of you, Avaline is here and she is hurt badly. I do not believe that she will make it if we do not find Richard and even then I fear it is to late. The time I am in is 1942 Germany, with a man by the name of Karl. I was within the company of a man named Raymond when I came to be here. If any of you know of his where abouts please tell him I am sorry. If any of you know where Richard is please tell him of Avaline and that she calls for him even on her death bed."

Taking a breath before beginning to blow gently upon the ball I watch it spin for a moment and then seperate into several small globes. One for each of my sisters, I could only hope that these balls would find them all safe and happy. The ball spins faster as we watch and then just like that it blinks out. "Please find them, find him, she needs us all so much right now but mainly she needs Richard. Where are you Richard!" Saying this out loud to the quiet room I sit once more in silence watching Avaline slip further away from me. Tears begin to slowly trail down my face, there was nothing more I could do, but maybe if I could call upon Wyn's powers we could heal her. But that would take so much through time and space that even I wasn't sure how well that would work.

Karl / Io / Avaline //Infirmary// Germany 1942

Karl couldn’t believe his eyes as Io formed a sphere on her hand, he listened as she called out to her sisters noting that she told them where and what year she was in. He also realised that there could be a man wandering around by the name of Raymond. Io told her sisters that Avaline was on her death bed calling for Richard, she seemed to think that Richard could cure Avaline some how.

As Io blew on the sphere it appeared to break up into smaller balls, they spin faster and faster until they suddenly vanish.

"Please find them, find him, she needs us all so much right now but mainly she needs Richard. Where are you Richard!"

Having said this Io sat down again and Karl knew even though she had her back to him that the tears had started again. Putting his hands on her shoulders trying to comfort her he said.

“You’ve done all you can, and the doctors done all he can. All we can do now is wait and hope and pray that things get better for Avaline,”

Although he didn’t say anything he was deeply worried about Avaline, she appeared to be very important to Io, but so far she hadn’t said why. She’d been very cryptic when talking about her for some reason but everything else and the sphere just now seemed genuine, convincing him more that they were telling the truth.

Karl wondered what sort of help the sisters could give over time and space, his main worry was if they appeared in Germany they would be captured as Io and Avaline were.

“If your sisters and friends tried to get to you to help how would they find you?” he asked Io. “Would they be able to locate you and arrive in the mansion or its grounds?” he asked another question. He wasn’t so worried about them suddenly appearing inside the mansion his men would capture them and send for him. It was if they appeared in the grounds, they might be shot without any chance to explain. He didn’t know how powerful or accurate Io’s spell was, and this concerned him he didn’t want her friends hurt.

Raven/Wyn/Raymond/South America

Wyn said:
Let me see that map a moment. I am still highly emotional we can see if it just works for you or if anyone can use it that way.

"Sure, no problem." Raymond handed the map to Wyn without another word, but decided to stay near Raven.

"Don't worry about it, that's my problem anyways. I get to angry to easily... in fact I'd have been screaming right back at you actually but I- Raymond coughed and knew he was blushing.

"I was still worried about Raven. Anyways. Is is working?" Raymond asked as he helped Raven stand with his arm around her.

Damnit, not to be rude, but I was looking forward to spending a night alone with these two. Especially Raven... but, that kiss, it wasn't meant for me. She must've been thinking of someone else. I hope Io's okay. God this is confusing, lusting after three hot sisters while worrying if two of them are okay. It's a good thing neither of them can read my mind, else I'd be in a lot of trouble. What's the word for someone like me? Bigamist. I think I'd like to be a bigamist, if it meant I could have these three... dream on Raymond. These thoughts were swirling around in his mind the entire time Raymond talked.

Io/Avaline/Karl/Germany/1942

Karl's hands felt so good giving me the strength I needed to continue to concentrate making sure the messages guided along their path as far as I could. Before heaving a huge sigh of desperation holding out the necklace that she still carried. Showing it to Karl before tucking it safely away once more. "It was a gift from the Goddess. We each recieved a gift from our Goddess to take us home if we needed to go or if we needed each other. The gift would take us there, but I can only take Avaline with me and I find that I am unwilling to leave here right now. But with it I could go home, I could be safe never to leave my house or friends or family again."

Laying my cheek down softly upon Karl's warm fingers I let my head rest for but a moment. Feeling a small headache beginning to form just behind my eyelids, I knew I had been pushing myself to hard lately but things had to be done.

What I hadn't told Karl was that I could have taken Avaline with me, but not him and though we had just met him I found that I didn't honestly want to leave him. Avaline couldn't be helped in our time either and I knew that, but if Wyn were to come here to me then maybe with their combined powers they could heal Avaline.

I knew that Karl had more questions that honestly needed answers but for the first time I was out of answers. Lots of questions myself, but no answers that I could give him without maybe causing more damage to this time or changing something so drastically that things wouldn't be the same when I got home. Avaline had said that the Gods would place them where they wouldn't cause harm or that the ones they played with were to die. If I had been brought here to Karl did that mean he was going to die soon as well? The thought sickened me and now I had something more to worry about.

Wyn pretended not to notice him blush and smiled saying Thanks Hun. as he handed her the map. Wyn unrolled it and looked at it nothing was happening... Maybe it did only work for Raymond.

Looking up Wyn saw a small blue ball of light coming towards them and jumped to her feet knowing that it was Io sending them a message. If any of you know where Richard is please tell him of Avaline and that she calls for him even on her death bed." Damn! Wyn thought watching the ball watching it fade and thinking things thru quickly in her head.

Forming a ball of her own being careful to make sure the ball would make it to precisely the right date and time, and only a few moments after Io had sent it as she wasn't as talented at this trick as Io was, she had to be extremely careful.

Io its Wyn. Raven is with me, as well as Raymond. Richard and Scytherian were with me but have disappeared we are lost some where in South American I don't know what year.... I am going to send a second ball shortly explaining how to heal and you should be able to draw energy thru it from me to be able to give Avaline enough strength to hold on until we can join you and find him. Blowing on the ball Wyn sent it on its way hoping that it would make it to where it needed to go in time.

Looking at Raven and Raymond she said Looks like were not going to need the treasure after all were going to give the greatest gift of all... Life.... When I am done sending the second ball I am going to need the two of you to be prepared, because I am going to pass out for awhile... That will leave you two to figure out how to use ether the map or the disk to get us to Io, and Avaline.

Forming the second ball Wyn once again took care with what she was doing making sure this ball would arrive shortly after the first, filling it with instructions she left a phycic link open for Io to be able to draw energy, as well as power from Wyn, and sent it on its way...

Raymond could figure out what was going on. The blood has gone from the small head and was back in the big one, although... staying near the sisters like this would probably change that again.

"Uh, Wyn, dear? You know Fate and divine intervention and coincidence and all that? Yeah. Think about it. Avaline is trouble, and needs something that apparently, only you two can give her. It's... just an observation."

Talk about mood killers. And I haven't even been able to set one up yet. Not that I would, it'd be too inappropriate, especially if I tried for both sisters... that's just me being a selfish man. And probably a bad one too, although I couldn't imagine any man not wanting either of them... or Io... DAMNIT! Raymond, get your mind out of the gutters before you do something stupid and get a hard on again!

Raymond was having a terrible time controlling his thoughts.

Karl / Io / Avaline //Infirmary// Germany 1942

"It was a gift from the Goddess. We each recieved a gift from our Goddess to take us home if we needed to go or if we needed each other. The gift would take us there, but I can only take Avaline with me and I find that I am unwilling to leave here right now. But with it I could go home, I could be safe never to leave my house or friends or family again."

Karl tried to understand what Io was saying about the necklace, the fact she could take Avaline with her meant that even in her time Avaline couldn't be cured.

Karl would have liked to take Io back to his room and bed she definately appeared to need rest, but he knew that she needed to see if her message got through to her sisters.

He stood behind her and started to massage the back of her neck, hoping that it would do some good. When she rested her head on his hand he knew that it was a silent cry for help from him but he didn't know what help he could give other than to stay with her. He began to wonder how long it would be before she knew that her sisters had received her message. He prayed that things would turn out right for her, surprising himself when he realised that he cared for her.

The warmth of compassion, love and caring was felt by Avaline, and she whispered Io’s name. Her body ached, but the pain was minimal as the drugs worked to keep her still and numb. She still thought, and her thoughts now circled on the failure she’d become. She’d failed as a Goddess, she failed as a mortal, Avaline was nothing more then the dust on the ground beneath the others feet.

She’d lost the love of a man, and her child, lost the compassion and romance of lovers because of punishments. She misjudged a man again, thought he loved her, and would fight for her, overcome all odds to hold her, and be with her, but again... just like before she was wrong. Her heart was bleeding as she lay there still and unmoving. She loved Richard, loved him with all her heart, soul and mind, but it wasn’t enough. Her feelings for him weren’t enough to conquer whatever tasks Zues placed in front of him. He didn’t love her, she had been wrong and now, her very life would be lost, because Richard cared not for her at all.

The doctor had the latest test results in his hand, but didn’t want to disturb the patient or her visitors, but he knew he had to. Opening the curtain, he frowned at the weakened state of the patient and the shed tears that her friend had given.

“Sir. . . Ma’am,” he nodded to Karl and to the woman. “She’ll not make it. You should say your goodbyes. We repaired the damage, and removed the ruptured appendix, but there was something else, something we didn’t know of until now.”

He looked down on the paper, and rubbed his worn eyes, easing the tiredness from them. “There is an infection one I’ve never seen before. It is in her bloodstream and I’m sorry... she will be gone by morning. This disease is not any I’ve heard of, or seen so I don’t have a name. What I do know from one of my associates is that it multiplies quickly, each blood cell is invaded, and then the virus kills it only to double itself in strength, again invading more blood cells.”

The doctor touched the woman’s forehead, “Whoever she was, she was a beauty, the world will miss such a lovely as this.”

Avaline heard words concerning her, and she wanted to yell that she was there, that she could hear, but nothing came out of her mouth, nothing that is but a plea, “Forgive me Io... I have failed.” Avaline’s body arched in pain, then collapsed as she slipped into a deep coma, where nothing existed for her.

“I’m sorry,” the doctor said. “She is asleep now, and she will remain that way. Nurse,” the doctor called. He bent over and examined Avaline, “She’s in coma, it could last for hours, weeks, months, normally... but,” he motioned for the nurse to administer the needed IV’s to keep the patient sedated, and hydrated. “She won’t last long in a comatose state, not with this disease inside her. Please say your goodbye’s Miss and then leave, you need your rest.” The doctor left, and soon once the nurse finished administering the needed fluids and drugs, she too left Io and Karl alone.

Karl/Io/Avaline //infirmary//Germany1942

When Karl heard the doctor say that there was no hope for Avaline he was shocked. He knew that the doctor wouldn't give up if there was some slight chance of saving her but from what Karl had seen the doctor had given up all hope.

He hoped that Io's sisters could do something to help her to save Avaline. He wanted to take Io back to his room and force her to get into bed and sleep, but he kept quiet knowing that she wouldn't leave Avaline until she knew her sisters couldn't help.

He stayed standing behind Io with his hands massaging her shoulders trying to ease the tension he could feel in her.

Draken/Llonda Forest/unknown time

""Dragon Fang Peirce!"" Draken C. Lastar, the Dragon/Human Hybrid of Llonda Forest called out as he touched his dark blue bladed Katana to the ground. A shrill sound rang out from the blade as a bigger, wider version of it peirced the ground from under his target. The target jumped back, unable to entirely escape the width of the blade. It slashed his leg producing a trickle of blood.

"Not bad Lastar. But you need to be quicker if you are to defend this city from what is advancing. You are a skilled demon hunter Draken, but you've nothing in the way of whats to come." Gard Orthox, leader of the Llonda Elite Guard, and wood elf of the forest spoke to Draken.

"Thank you Gard. We can end this session for now, i must speak with Jun-Ontou. Im sure the Elder Druid can impart more knowledge ontop of yours."

"Farewell for now Draken. May the Earth Spirit empower you."

"As you my friend." Draken opened his Draconic wings and took to the sky heading for the upper level of the tree city Llonda, unaware that fate was about to step in, and Draken C. Lastar would have to redifine the way he thought of the universe....

Io/Karl/Avaline/Germany/1942

I couldn't believe what the Doctor had said, "No... NO She can not die she is a Goddess the Gods would never allow one of theirs to leave them. Avaline can not die there just is no way. Richard will come for her, he will... I know he loves her she can not die she has to be here for when he comes for her."

Even though Karl's presence felt good and I knew he was there to give me support I couldn't handle this. There was no way I would be leaving Avaline's side, she had said she had failed me. But in fact I had this feeling she had not failed me at all, the touch of this man behind me feel safe and secure. It was what I had been looking for the whole time.

Taking Avaline's hand within my own speaking softly to her, "No Avaline you have not failed me. What I have asked for you have given to me, now let me give you my love Avaline it is not Richard but someone who has belief in you. A strong belief in you Avaline not that of a Goddess but of the person who once had a child, a man that she loved, one such as you Avaline. Please hold on my sisters and I will help you as much as we can, I am just waiting on them. Please Avaline give us this time to give you a gift one that I had not thought of until recently until you became my friend Avaline. The gift of our love Avaline, it is the greatest gift of all you have taught us that."

As I am talking to Avaline I can feel Karl's hands still when I told Avaline that she had not failed me. He knew about the quests for that one special person in our lives. Would he guess how I was beginning to feel about him? Now wasn't the time for me to tell him how I felt but his strength and understanding just did something to my heart given me a funny feeling that I had found the perfect guy for me.

A bright flash of light catches my attention and before me I see a shimmering ball of light much like the one I had sent out to my sisters. Holding out my hand I let the ball of energy alite upon my outstretched palm. Waiting to see who has answered my call, giving a smile as hope flares strongly within my chest. Wyn's voice carries strong into the room.

Elation fills me as I hear Wyn's message, she was coming here to me her and Raven. Raymond was safe and I was going to be able to help Avaline, or at least I was going to be able to do something other then what I was doing right now.. Mourning the loss of a great Goddess as well as someone I had come to care for and actually love as a friend.

"She's going to help Karl, and they are coming here to us. They will come into this room with us, will that be ok? Or is this going to cause us some problems, I don't want you to get into trouble for helping me. But I just don't think that I can do this without you." Turning to look at Karl as I say all this so he will know that I am concerned about him. His eyes seemed to be locked upon the ball of shimmering light in my hand.

Just as I go to tell him that it won't hurt him another flash of light comes into the room. Floating over to sit before me, this time the ball seems to be swirling faster with more energy within it. The power inside of the ball makes me catch my breath, giving me the idea that this is the one that will help me to help Avaline.

Blowing a quick breath upon the one in hand letting it float into the air, offering my hand to the newer ball. At the same I reach for Avaline's hand holding it lightly within my own. Wyn's voice fills the room as she begins to tell me how to pull the energy from the ball into myself, explaining that the force will probably be enough to knock me out so to be prepared. Glancing up at Karl as this is said seeing him nod in understanding. Something close to worry lights his eyes as he meets my eyes. Smiling reassurance speaking softly, "I will be ok honest and when I awaken Avaline should feel a bit better I hope and then I think maybe I would like to get to know you more."

Quickly before I lose my nerve I look back to the beautiful woman before me closing my eyes. I begin to draw slowly from the sphere within my hand feeling the magic within being drawn into my body. The pain from the force of it makes me cry out some but still I continue to draw more of it within myself. Gathering the swirling energy into my small body, as my thoughts begin to scatter I guide it along the path of my arm adding the feelings of my own heart to it. Feeling as if I am floating I can see myself become the energy going slowly through my body and going to the joining of hands. Mine and Avaline's. Into her body, once there I begin slowly locating the disease. Killing as much of it as I can while trying to feed her blood cells with healing energy. Time has no meaning as I slowly work with each cell I find killing and healing what I can making sure to go all the way through her blood stream into her vitals organs into the tissue of her skin and muscles as Wyn has instructed me.

An eternity later, exhustion weighing me down I move back through Avaline's body. Searching one last time for anything that looks out of place, my movements seem to be growing sluggish in her body. Slowly I slip silently up through the connection that I have made between us and back into my own body.

Opening my eyes I the first thing I see is a very worried Karl, the as darkness begins to close in on my vision the woman before me. "Karl, keep her safe for me please." Upon saying this I slump down into my chair into the waiting hands of the man behind me. Soft, gentle, loving hands... Karl's hands, my Karl the man of my dreams. Smiling I let the darkness claim me knowing that Avaline has not failed me after all.

"Uh, Wyn, dear? You know Fate and divine intervention and coincidence and all that? Yeah. Think about it. Avaline is trouble, and needs something that apparently, only you two can give her. It's... just an observation."

Wyn looked back at Raymond as she waited for both of the balls to reach Io a concerned and worried look upon her face. I reolize that i am acting in haste but if Avaline dies we may never return home again... We owe her so very much...

Looking up twords the sky she knelt in the ground waiting for Io to begin pulling energy from her to heal Avaline she prayed allowed. Tears slowly falling down her face as she thought that if she and her sisters handnt been so selfish their goddess would not be now laying somewhere dieing. Zues god of gods' i begg thee.. Do not let Avaline die.. aid us in healing her and giving her life... she should not be punnished for what others have wrought...... Please i beg you allow her to live.

As Wyn finnished praying she felt the energy begin to drain from her body flowing across time and space and she focused turning it from simple energy to healing light letting it flow, and praying Avaline would be alright.

Raymond found himself at a loss as to what to do. He was holding Raven close in his arm, but he wanted to hold Wyn as well. They both seemed so sad and upset, and Io was in trouble too.

And all Raymond could think about was how beautiful they were.

He didn't know why he did what he did next, he just saw the hurt look on both of the sisters' faces and couldnt' help himself. Raymond hated to see anyone in pain, especially women as beautiful and as sweet as these two.

Raven still in his arm, Raymond leaned forward and embraced the two sisters in as kind and caring hug as he could.

Sometimes it's all you need... Raymond could hear the words of his old girlfriend echo in his mind, and this time, he didn't get upset.

Karl/Io/Avaline // Germany 1942

Karl was shocked when an identical ball to the one Io had sent suddenly flashed into the room. He'd already heard Io refer to Avaline as the godess, now this ball arriving was to much but he stayed with his hands on Io shoulders giving her the support he was sure she needed.

Hearing the voice coming from the sphere made Karl wish he was somewhere else, then another sphere appeared. Io disgarded the first and took the second, she turned to Karl and said.

"I will be ok honest and when I awaken Avaline should feel a bit better I hope and then I think maybe I would like to get to know you more."

Karl couldn't believe his ears, but he stayed with Io as her body seemed to go limp for an eternity then suddenly she sat upright once more.

"Karl, keep her safe for me please."

Karl just manages to catch her as her smiling form crumbles towards the floor. He carries her to one of the other beds in the room and gently lays her on it, then drags the bed over next to Avaline's bed before sitting on the chair she'd recently vacated so he could watch over them both.

Zues, Hetta, Draken

Zues looked down on the mortals, and back to the crystal palace that he bestowed upon Richard. The man was going to let Avaline die, but as soon as Zues realized that he immediately sensed the Goddess’ strength return to her, or at least some of it did. His thoughts left the focus of Richard and his palace and returned back to Avaline. Hetta approached him, her hands circled his waist, and she kissed his back. “They saved her,” Hetta said, smiling into her mate’s back.

“They gave her love...,” Zues said, lowering his head in awe at the mortals.

“Yes, love... that is what you were expecting weren’t you?” Hetta asked, sensing her husband’s emotions.

“Yes... but I thought,” he sighed, turned and pulled Hetta into his arms.

She kissed his chest, “You thought it would be from him, didn’t you?”

Zues kissed the top of his love’s head, “Yes... a fool I was.”

Hetta sighed, “Power and love are two different things, perhaps he just wasn’t ready to love one such as her. She’s a bit of a handful.”

Zues chuckled, “She still has to die, though.”

Hetta jumped back, and glared at her mate, “Die! Why?”

Zues hung his head, “Richard made the quest... He was supposed to love her, and if he did and her love for him was real, then she. . . they both lived. If his was false she died, and if hers was false he died. Her’s was never false, but ... his seems to be.”

“You can not kill her!” Hetta cried.

“It is out of my hands. She must die, Hetta! You know the rules!”

Hetta fell to her knees, “Don’t do this. I beg of you.”

“I’m sorry, Hetta. I must seek the assassin.”

Zues disappeared from his wife’s side, and moved through space, and time until he reached his destination.

*******

Zues entered the forest of Llonda and sensed the unrest he caused in the animals, as well as the elfin folk. He sent a wave of peace through the lands, and eased their emotions. He showed his hands free of weapons and the creatures knew he was of no harm.

His royal robes, hung lose over his hard body. His face was chiseled and his features hard. Zues looked as if he could take on several warriors without breaking a sweat. His age of thousands of years showed no where on him. He looked young, healthy and very able.

He spoke of wealth, and he spoke of power. Looking up into the trees, he called out, “I seek Draken C. Lastar, the demon hunter.”

Zues knew Draken was there, and he knew he heard him, now it was just a matter of time. “I have a job for you demon hunter, if you are up to the challenge.”

The Prophecy

"Master Jun you sent for me earlier?" Draken entered through the opening in the hut on the highest level of the Tree City Llonda.
(Yes Lastar, I did. Glad you made it up to see me today.) Draken hear this not with his ears, but with his mind. The Elder Druid was incapable of regular speech. (The same Druids that embued the Dragon Fang Blade within your body have stumbled upon another piece of the puzzle Lastar. I felt it important that you hear this.)
"Thank you Elder Jun. Anything leading to Kain-Sante's whereabouts will help me in avenging my slain family. The sorrcerror /will/ pay."
(This has little to do with that afair my draconic friend. But more to do with the prophecy of the blade.)
"This blade shall be engraved upon your soul. Let the Blade of Dragons will be done; and the demon kin be wiped from the ages of time. That is what the runes on my palm say."
(There is more too it now Lastar. We've figured out the final peice of the puzzle. the 'ages' of which they speak of.)
"That is impossible. Even with your Druidic spells, no ones ever figured out how to travel through ages."
(Not with 'our' magic. But something else, the creator of magic itself, has a different story......)

wow

((two long posts within the same minute, i do think great minds think alike >.>))

Draken whirled around at this voice that shook the very trees and their roots. He walked out to the balcony and looked down at a clothed young man. <Who is this fool who bothers us Draken?> (Shut up Seth, this doesnt concern you. Now still your tounge.) <Arent we draconics grumpy in the morning.....>
Draken looked back at Jun, and Jun gave a nod of his head. He opened his wings and desended down to the lower level, landing just feet from the man. "I am the one you seek. Draken Lastar." He bows to the man showing his samurai ways. "What is this task you've for me?

Zues, Draken

Zues flicked at the invisible dust on his robe, and looked at Draken. “What task? What do you think?” He sighed, and reached into his robe. Pulling out a pouch, heavy with coin and stared hard at it, knowing he had no choice but the one in front of him, he looked back to Draken.

“I seek a demon hunter... there is a demoness that needs disposed of. It is a vile creature, and very powerful. It is able to take the shape of anything, and anyone. It can become invisible, control thoughts, control actions, and shift time and space. I want,” Zues paused, swallowed the bile rising in his throat and returned his steely gaze to Draken. “I want you to hunt it down and kill it.”

Zues cocked his head to one side, eyeing the demon hunter up and down, gauging his abilities. “Can you do this task, it will not be easy. This demon will tempt you with kindness, and compassion. She will try to win you over with her beauty, her love, and her very soul... but in the end, she will torture you, confuse your life, drive you insane, and then she will suck the very essence of your soul from your body. Can you resist such a lovely, yet evil demoness?”

the Proposition

<Hey Lastar, this Demoness sounds like my kind of girl. Maybe you should let me out to play with her, think i'll make her my slave.> (I said still your tounge demon or i'll silence it for you!) Draken shook his head as if ridding it of a bad noise then sat his eyes back upon the man. "Shouldnt be much of a problem. The runes on my hand can detect demonic blood or essence, no matter the form, visibility, or desire. As for takeing my soul, its hard to control the mind of a being with two minds in one shell. I shall give this task a try, although i cannot assure you of my success untill i've assessed my target. I have but one question for you; i've never heard of any such Demoness in these lands. I've slain them all.....how could i have missed one?"

Zues looked at the demon hunter, his cocky attitude immediately putting him on notice. “Do not underestimate this female, she is more powerful then many and you have faced none like her. She is not of your world, so I will have to send you to her.”

He pulled a silver disk from his robe, and handed it to Draken. “You will have to try and look as human in appearance as long as you possibly can, for if your true self is revealed on this planet you will either be killed, or hunted down and experimented on.”

His heart was heavy, and he could feel the weight of the task on his shoulders, and hear the words of his Hetta pleading with him, begging him not to act. He could also sense her watching him, and he wished with all his heart he could hold her to him, comfort her as much as he needed comforting now also.

“You will travel with a pair of sisters, and another male. They will in time reach the demoness, they have all ready been pulled into her chain of lies, and will not understand your quest to take her life, and they may stop you, you must do whatever you have to do to reach the woman, deal with her, and finish your job. YOU must NOT harm another human, unless it is to protect them from harm.”

He stared hard at Draken, “Do you travel with me? And... it won’t matter how many minds you have, you have one heart, and she will try to capture it... remember that, it is the heart that kills a man or a woman, and she’ll stop at nothing to rob you of yours.”

.....

"I understand, and i will do what it takes to accomplish this task for you. I only ask of you something in return if i make it through this alive. But the asking will be upon my success, if it comes. Now about this human thing.....exactly how do i get rid of these?" Draken opens his wings, and snaps his tail a bit.

Zues, Draken, Wyn, Raven, Raymond, Avaline, Hetta

Zues nodded his head, handed the coins to Draken and reached into another pocket inside his robe. “Your accessories will not be a problem as long as you have this,” he handed the hunter an amulet.

“Wear this and your wings and tail will easily hide from the eyes of all humans, your skin will be difficult, but it will just have to be explained away, find a way, you look smart enough.”

With a wave of his hands, he lifted a great mist from the ground, surrounded Draken and himself in it, and the two disappeared from the forest. They moved together, each one traveling toward the sisters, and the man known as Raymond. Time whirled by them, pain shot through the hunter, pain that Zues was immune to, but the hunter would have felt it. Zues did nothing to ease his comfort, wanting him to know the task at hand would not be simple.

Once the travelers stopped, Zues looked to Draken again. “I will contact you if I need you. Fail me not, or you will feel my wrath.” He pointed to where Wyn, Raven, and Raymond were, “Go to them, make them trust you, speak not of the woman you seek... you will know her when they find her, she is their Goddess, she has twisted their minds, and they worship her now. Turn them from her, if you need their help, but in the end... you will need to be the one that kills her.”

He produced clothing for Draken, “Wear these garments, and you should be able to blend in well with them, here is a pouch, it is every humans dream, reach in anytime you need coin and it will be there. You are on your own now...” with a flourish of swirling lights Zues disappeared and then eased himself into Avaline’s mind.

“I’m sorry my friend, but he failed you, and you know the rules of our kind... I give you your powers, and your health, you will need them, for you face a battle that only you can save yourself from, unless... you were right all along and the mortal Richard loves you.”

Zues breathed the power of the Gods, and Goddesses back into Avaline’s soul then with the faintest invasion into her blood stream he released the blood of a demoness, that would allow Draken to "see" her as a demoness, and not the Goddess she truely was. It was with a heavy heart that was buried inside Zues when he left her.

“It is done,” he said solemnly as he returned to Hetta’s side.

“You were wrong... there had to be another way!” his wife yelled at him. Her eyes fixated on the two images, one of Avaline, now strong and powerful, the other on the face of a determined hunter. “You told so many lies, my husband.”

“Did I? Doesn’t a Goddess do all those things? Doesn’t she possess the powers to do all those things to another, just like a great demon or demoness does?”Zues hung his head, “He’ll do the deed, and that is all that matters now; we can’t change the laws... you know that.”

Raymond continued to hold the two women close to him, and he thought he felt one of them crying, or both? So he held them tighter, whispering soft words of comfort, finding himself praying right along with them. Whoever was hurt, he wanted to help.

The map in his pocket began reacting, but it was buried so far in that it's soft glow couldn't be seen.

"It's okay... everything will be okay..." Raymond whispered softly.

the Arrival

Draken had only time enough to grasp the amulate and put it on his wrist before a nerve wracking pain shot throughout his body. Being draconic he was resiliant in nature, but this was pain beyond what his normal limits had felt in quite some time. When his eyesight returned he had a Satchell in his hand, of which he placed aside his own Satchell. His gaze was set on three humans. Two females and a male. One in particular caught his gaze, of which he knew not her name....yet.

<Where the /Hell/ are we Lastar? and what was that pain just now? Your not trying to kill yourself again in hopes of ridding your body of me are you?>
(No Seth, I wouldnt dream of such a thing. Cause i want to be alive when i seperate you from this forsaken blade so that i may kill you again myself.)
"Excuse me! Excuse me but, i do believe im lost, may one of you three be able to assist me?" Draken called out to the others.....
