People please stay on topic. Those of us who are lurking/reading are confused by the side chatting. Thank you for your inattention to this matter. lol at me.

LL? I have no feelings one way or another towards you regarding a possible friendship. If you want an honest answer? I respect you less than I did. Why? If you read this thread from beginning to end? Some of what you have posted has been uncomplimentary comments wrapped up in clever words.
If my kids were doing what is going on here and I called them on it? They would say but so and so called me a name first. So? I would reply, ignore them. Or so and so doesn't agree with me. So? Get over it. It's not worth bickering about. Would be my response to my kids.

I still don't get why you have taken such an issue with Never's OPINION on the matter as quoted above.

Oddly enough, I don’t use the term ‘we’ when talking about the Scottish, southerners, or people from Florence.

My father's side of the family is Mormon, from Utah. Since they keep such good records, I know that side is from England and Scotland - 3/4 English, 1/4 Scottish.

My mother's side is much murkier. They're from Southern Illinois and Tennessee, before that Germany and the Low Countries, as far as I can tell. My mother's side of the family has Southern accents -- at least that's what I've been told. (I don't really hear it - unless I try.) My family is half and half. Luckily, I escaped without one.

You hardly know me. Nor I you. The only basis I have for forming my opinion of you is through reading your posts. In the past I have read your posts and thought? An interesting person with a fairly good outlook on life.

I don't believe in hate, nor being an enemy to anyone.

Be circumspect? The only potential consequence of choosing not to associate with you would be not interacting with you on the board. No nastiness or I don't like LL threads. I am not that sort of person.

I focus on this: My family is been Catholic for 1500 years. Loyal supporters of the Holy Church........

We have just wasted a significant portion of our life reading your inane, pompous and on one occasion threatening comments. We can only conclude that despite the refined and cultured image you are trying to impart by your use of a title and the avatar you chose that you are just another sad little self manipulator who can not cope with his own insecurities when someone disagrees with his opinion.

Now, I’d like to make it very clear that I’m not talking to any one poster, nor am I pretending to hand down commandments from the mountaintop. This is just my opinion:

If you plan to engage in serious discussion please be aware of your avatar’s ability undermine your credibility.

To go along with that; remember that your avatar both serves to identify you and to color your post. People will make unconscious assumptions about your attitude and personality based on everything from the subject matter of your avatar, to its style, to even the colors it uses.

While sexual imagery is expected, crude or highly explicit content can cause negative reactions. Just because you have sex with your genitalia doesn’t make genitalia sexy. Remember, the vast majority of content can be aesthetically pleasing and arousing, or ugly enough to make a viewer grimace.

If your avatar is a picture of a real person or a character, please be aware of associations people have with that person or character. A good example would be that of the gentleman who unknowingly used a gay porn star as his avatar and then became quite upset when men started hitting on him.

These are just a few of my thoughts on the subject of avatars. Feel free to disagree or offer your own. Or talk about what you think of avatars in general.

I am oddly fixated on the fact that I have a prick and am one too, consumed 5 beers since 4 PM EDT and little sleep gives me reason for not much mental strength or clarity.


I refer you to the many answers previously made to this now tiresome querry. I think avatars do have any salient meaning. They are interesting and important when really attempting to get to know someone.
