The part that pissed me off was trying to shoot off all 4 bombs on the plane before the hangar closed.

The rest gave me nightmares. The Thing is one of the games I load up whenever I upgrade my PC.

For some reason, them Xenomorphs didn't scare me as much. Of course, I'd been such an avid AvP fan since the comic books came out, that I'm used to the buggers.

I can imagine how many pairs of underwear a newbie would run through in a single sitting of AvP...

Star Wars: KOTOR,

An excellent game. First RPG I've ever played through twice. First time I've ever even considered playing an RPG a second time.

Discuss.

Only reason I am considering buying an Xbox now..tho I guess I could wait for the pc release but that will prolly be delayed another 6 months.

You could think of other reasons without much difficulty.

It's still in "pre order" for the PC
I'm looking forward to that game.

Has anyone played Tron 2.0 for the PC?
I have it and I would certainly recommend it.

How is the MP with the light cycles?

I've played it once against one other person and I like it.. although it certainly isn't as good as a normal racing game and your main task is to wall-in the other player. I like the disc combat better myself.

Oh the game is a Lithtech engine - if you have a GeForce 2 it is going to fly at 1024x768. I have a GeForce 4 and it screams - that is, unless you get lagged. You'll hate having any latency in the light cycle game, especially if you hit a turbo power up - you'll hit a wall and be wondering wtf . Lag will definitely test your anger management skills in light cycle deathmatch :(

Oh yeah, they have power-ups in this version. Shields.. turbo... LOL. It isn't exactly like the original light cycle deathmatch :D

Star Wars: KOTOR is fucking awesome, I love that game. Still playing it actually. Got a demo for XIII, it's pretty good-feels a lot like Goldeneye, which is a very good thing. The new Simpson's game "Hit and Run" is pretty fun. Not the new GTA or anything, but frickin' hilarious.

Anyone else want to discuss KOTOR's greatness?

Actually, I'm still working my way through it being as good as possible. The second time through I plan on being completely evil. The only times I've let loose were when I took the droid from the shop on Taris and the Gamorreans or whatever at the hunting lodge on Tatooine. Those fuckers were asking for it, especially when I let them go in the desert and I come back and they're all picking on me. Slaughtered them all like animals in the bar I did. :D

I tried the good route my first time through as well. But now I've got force persuade and it opens up a whole lot of dialogue options :D There's even ways to kill off your party members, though I haven't tried that . Yet.

So I rented Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic...damn this game is fun so far.

tried halo on the pc ... its good'ish but not as good as i was thinking it would be considering all the hype from console owners ... pc gamers have had better fps for years :)

got an advance copy (uk wise) of max payne 2 ... wow this is probably the greatest game i've ever played ... graphics are amazing but its refreshing that the story doesn't treat you like a 5 year old

i've only played it for a short while though

yeah i like it ... i've got a creature handler with a cute little woodland kima pet :) ... whos nearly bounty hunter too

and on different server have a smuggler/weaponsmith

should I buy ssx tricky 3 and JAK 2?

or should I wait for someone to buy it for my bithday or christmas?

Really? Which ones? Not Quake, Half-Life, or Unreal. Maybe the PC Halo was a step down in some way, I haven't seen it.

I am so hooked on SWG ...

But I can't make up my mind what professions I want my character to have ... I want them all ... Augh!

halo had some good things ... the creature ai was pretty good ... the guns felt good ... the shield stuff was nice ... the story seems above average ... but the level layout was terrible

all the same reused rooms over and over in the first space ship level feels like you're back to the days of playing doom because all the rooms are on the same level and basically all box shaped ... outdoors levels were slightly better but even those were repeating the same layouts

the pc version is exactly the same as the x-box version just better graphics on the pc

quake and half life and unreal are all many years before halo but even they beat halo in the level design department

as for fps that are better than halo ... on pc just saying a few i would say return to castle wolfenstein, medal of honor, jedi knight, battlefield 1942, mafia and i would say half life :)
