The video game thread

LOL

Great now I'm gonna have to see the movie again... :)

Which leads me to this question:

With all the James Bond games in the world.. where is an Austin Powers game??

Jesus...I don't stop by for a day and we got all kinds of crazy shit going on. We got this one chick talking about her online husband, other's calling out mario noises, people flirting, and, of course, wrestling talk.:p
I'm actually curious about this online husband stuff, because no offense, but I'm thinking wtf to myself. There should be an austin powers game...that could be neat, if it wasn't done all retarded-like.

well it's a roleplaying game...some people choose to roleplay relationships etc. You have one of the game masters come perform a ceremony, share last names, serve booze and cake at the wedding ceremony, it's just kinda goofy fun :)

Any sites that I should check out to look more into it? :)

And yes.. I have been known to enjoy the odd game or two of hockey. :D ;)

$ $ $

I have trouble finding it in me to fork over money to play games online. Maybe I'm becoming a minority to this concept, but we already pay to purchase the games, but then we have to pay to play, too? I mean - isn't that what "the internet" is all about? The entire network sharing the load so one company/etc doesn't have to burden it all? Heck... I dunno.

Anyways... I'm addicted to online gaming - but not to a pay service.

best sites in my opinion are the "guild" sites though... the little groups of people who more or less band together to play... you get a feel for the social aspect of the game (my favorite part).

I'll have to do some looking around. :)

Lets see...

I've never played EQ or UO (before my time).

This is the list of the games I've played that are MMORPG's or MUD's.

DragonRealm
Asheron's Call
Dark Age of Camelot
Asheron's Call
Anarchy Online
Dungeon Seige
The sequal to Dragon Realm, can't think of the name now :(
Asheron's Call
Star Wars Galaxies

So basically I've played all the good MMORPG's out there. :D

Heh heh heh ... I think my main character in EQ stands out a bit. With a name like Adraste Pharyen who wouldn't. :D
She's gotta look good in the armor she wear.

When DAoC came out, lots of Eq-ers flocked to it. But ended coming back to EQ in the end. Even a GM I know in EQ said she only played it for a couple of weeks & gave up. Though ... I have heard that the new expandtion looks sweet! I do have a copy of the orignal game but never installed it. *shrugs*

My main reasons for staying with EQ is I have friends that I enjoy talking to in game. After playing off & on for the pass 3 year now, my main character is still in her mid-levels. I love questing & trade skills too much, rather than leveling & making in game money. I don't mind paying that $13 (US) monthy fee. I do draw the line to going to the Legends server & paying $40 (US) a month.

ON ANOTHER NOTE >>> LotR X-Box Fans ...

Two Tower is coming to X-Box at the end of December. Word from my work place ... The game is SWEET!!! I have seen the game play for the PS2 & that was awsome. So you can imagine how it wll be on the Box.

Sweetie you forgot Earth & Beyond.

ya..

but the money is in DAoC

just like when Diablo 2 was leading it for money (ebay and such) and then DaOC dropped and Diablo 2 died out. If you go to ebay and click around a bit for DAoC.. you will see what I'm talking about

I'm bored..and don't really have anything to talk about..so...I'll just say that I  my thread.

A cat pulling a cable out of the back of your computer is usually a good sign that you shoulden't be downloading whatever it is you're downloading. So it's probably not a very good game, but I could be wrong seeing how I've never played it before.

she likes sleeping on my cable tv box (i guess its warm) and the internet plugs into the back of it from the computer so she pulled it out while she was sleeping on it the cow :(

i just want to try a new sort of MMORPG i don't really mind which one it is but if its free for a few days then that will be best im pretty sure i won't carry on paying for it after the trial unless its amazing :)
