The video game thread

Pezzie has.. I'm sure she'll tell you all about it tommorow. :)

I however haven't and can't being an Xbox owner.. And KH was one game I really wanted to play. It would have looked awesome on the Xbox!

Yeah.. SB is gonna see red when he sees that post.

Truth is a bitch isn't it? :D

Honestly I don't mind the PS2.. It's a good system. I actually only got the Xbox because my best friend had a PS2 himself and that an Xbox didn't need memory cards.

How do you save a game?

The Xbox has a hard drive built in to it. You save your games on there. You can also save music on there.. Much like you can rip a CD on a computer, you can do it on Xbox. So far I have about 20 hours of music saved.

From there, some games will allow you to use that music you have saved as a game soundtrack. So instead of listning to generic tunes while playing a driving game, you can listen to the music you enjoy and have saved.

Excellent.. Another one has been converted.. :D

Where in the hell is Bill Gates? I should be on his pay roll for all the work I am doing for Xbox! lol

*ugh*

And I just got done reading about x-box live...I'm so giddy, hehe.

I've been considering getting an Xbox sometime soon... when the budget allows it. I've read about Xbox Live, too... and that looks really cool. But once again I get the *Shazbot!* when it comes down to availability of broadband internet. WTF PEOPLE!!! I'm in the largest town in my state... which is larger than all of the surrounding cities except for one... I live within a mile of one of the AT&T cable buildings... and it's "not currently available".

This sucks ass... :'( :'( :'(

Ahhhh, but ye fail to mention it doesn't work on all games, only a select few that implement the feature, and currently (at least as far as I know in England) only 2 games support said feature of playing your own tunes.

Of course, the best thing that could be done with it, is making a wrestling game where you can actually use your own themes, everyone seems to like making Mr T... so how about having Mr T entering to the A Team theme? :D.

Of course... the game actually has to be good too, so Raw 2, if it's the same as the first, could implement the feature, and the game would still be at home in a compost heap.

I'll stick with my PSX for now, tons of games that are still worthy of playing (plus no cash really ;)). Plus... why start paying £45 for games... when games that are just as good can be picked up pre-owned for £5? (or £1.40 in Red Alert's case... damn I love my discount :D).

Ahhhh but did mention! I said "some" games support that feature. I've played four that do.. Tony Hawk, Project Gotham, Street Hoops and Legends Of Wrestling. And I know there are others that do. So some games have soundtrack support.

Got my Xbox live retal version disc in the mail today! Turns out those that do pick it up early won't be able to use it until the 14th. That's the memo that has come with my disk. Only the beta disks will work until that day. After the 14th the beta disks will be the ones that don't work.

You know, that was pretty cheap. I might be a bit sore about it too, but I heard some great news today. Turns out the Japanese are finally starting to buy Xboxes...but it's only because they found out it's the perfect size for a child's booster seat.:p

Yeah well the Japanese also loved David Hasseloff's singing.. so their opinions are very twisted.

By the way... when you figure out what the hell an "emotion engine" is, give me a shout. I for one don't think it sounds anything comparable 733 Pentium 3. :D

I will admit tonight I did feel a bit of jealousy towards PS2 owners. As I watched Raw, I saw the new ads for Smackdown 4.

I thought to myself: "Self.. Maybe getting a PS2 is a better idea. Maybe it would be worth it since it doesn't seem like Raw 2 is gonna come out anytime soon. Maybe I should trade in that Xbox despite the killer grapics, and the hard drive space and better DVD quality..."

Then I saw the preview for RAW 2 :D

Yes LD.. Full soundtrack support!

Maybe the Xbox is worth keeping after all huh? ;)

One more tidbit of info...

Just got word today that all rankings and scores that were made thus far will in fact be wiped clean from XBox live. Gamer ID tags though stay intact. Win win for everyone really.. We get to keep our names.. And a fresh slate for the new people.

Not that it will matter.. I'll still be kicking ass on the sega sports games. :D

Bah...bickering about this is silly...makes me feel like I'm ten again. Therefore, all I'm going to say is that it's about the games...that's all that matters.
And...bring on the Sega sports:D
