The video game thread

I can't wait for the new ninja turtles game. I'm a dork, I know. But I think it would be fun to get my friends together and have 4 people play. :D

what sys is that coming out on? haven't seen it, loved the arcade one with donatello, and the (s?)nes one was fun.

The actual system isn't known yet, it should be out around this time next year. All I know is that Konami is the one making it.

:D

As long as we can all agree that Michaelagelo was the one who rocked the party that rocked the body, I won't have to break out my 'chucks and bust some heads. :)

A new Am. Gladiators game on the new consoles would be awesome.. that show still rocks to this day.

Ok, anyone remember the first NES Ninja Turtles game?

Fuckin thing was IMPOSSIBLE. You get to one certain part, and, oops, too bad, you CAN'T GO ANY FURTHER. It was one of those NES games that had no way to win, like, how there was no fricking point to the "Platoon" video game. You just walk around endlessly in the jungle. Oh yeah, that was a blast. In TMNT, you'd get into the turtle van, drive around, and then, woops, theres no where left for you to go...it SUCKED!

Yeah but the music was catchy as hell!!

The first Turtles game was hard as hell.. I think I maybe only once got past the dam level.

REDWOOD CITY, CA - September 16, 2002 - Konami of America Inc., announced that KONAMI CORPORATION has obtained the exclusive worldwide rights to produce and publish video games based on the forthcoming TV animated series "TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES" (TMNT). Based on an agreement signed with Mirage Licensing, Inc., the holder of the rights to TMNT, Konami of America will publish TMNT videogames in North America. With the first release planned for the 2003 holiday season, the all-new Konami-created TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES video games will be published across multiple game platforms.

The agreement returns Konami to the role the gaming giant held during the birth of the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES phenomenon in the late 1980's and early '90's, when the company created several TMNT videogames for the home and arcade. Distributed in North America, Europe and Japan, these games helped to establish the TMNT franchise as a global phenomenon, with gross cumulative sales of nearly half a billion dollars. Once again, Konami intends to invest in the TMNT series and help establish it as a leading videogame franchise.

The TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES were created in May 1984 when Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman published a 40-page, black-and-white comic book. The original TMNT animated series debuted in 1987, going on to become the #1 children's television show throughout the late 1980's and early '90's. TMNT merchandise licensees, including Konami and Playmates Toys, were enormously successful, reportedly selling approximately $3 billion in toys, video games and other merchandise within all product categories worldwide to date.

4Kids Entertainment, Inc. (4Kids) is currently working on all-new TMNT TV animated series, scheduled to debut September 14, 2002 on FOX as a part of FOX BOX, a Saturday morning children's television block programmed by 4Kids Entertainment. In addition to co-producing the new TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES television series, 4Kids also serves as the exclusive merchandise-licensing agent for the property worldwide.

Hell no! I think I've seen just about every single TMNT episode there is. :)

Hello fellow gamers. Great thread.

Yes, I love video games also. I've had the original pong, Atari 2600, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and now I have a Playstation but looking to upgrade to PS2 soon.

I had the Ninja Turtles on Genesis, I loved that game. Please forgive me if I forget the one that uses the sticks, but that was me. Give me two sticks and I'll take on Shredder with you anyday.

Thundercats, and Transformers. I used to tape those shows. Loved Cheetahra.

Does that make us uberdorks for being excited about the ninja turtles?

Honestly, i wouldnt wanna be associated with any other group of people on lit. Seriously, as sad and pathetic as this might sound, you've all become what i tend to think of as my "friends" on the board, and that i'm wicked happy about.

Now that that touching moment of revelation is over, i also think i've seen every possible episode of TMNT, but know what i want? a Thundercats game. Think of the possibilites...start off with Lion-O going for the leadership of the Thundercats, going through all those trials, then having to take on Mumm-Ra and stuff...oh man, that'd be awesome. Personally, i just wanna play a game where i could make the main character go "Thunder...Thunder...Thundercats-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"

Wow, how eerie is it that we all had the same Thundercats thought at the same time....?

I'm digging the new Thundercats comics that are out, and i cant wait for the ongoing series that Wildstorm is gonna put out, set 20 years in the future...its gonna RULE!!!

Heh I used to watch them back in the day...but haven't really seen them recently.

Awww...Eagle *hugs* You are my friend. I mean, it's not everyday you get asked to go to prom again. :D

We are on the same level...I watch the Thundercats religiously now. LOL

Thank You Strawberry (((HUGS)))

Thanks Pezzie, you made my day darlin <hugs>:D And yeah, you never answered my prom question!! lol

Now, back to the 'Cats. I loved Tygra, he was the man, but when Bengali showed up, my allegiance changed. I mean, how tough is a guy with a hammer of all things?! Thundercats was my favorite cartoon when i was younger, next to G.I. Joe and Transformers...

Speaking of which, both have diesle new comics out, and i wanna see a G.I.Joe game. Make it like Metal Gear Solid, with Snake Eyes running around, oh man, it'd be SO awesome.

I'm SUUUUUUUUUUUCH a friggin geek. :D
