The Underworld

Asha watched the fight in awe. She never seen two weres go at it. It was magnificient, it was incredible, it was fucking scary as hell. She ducked and ran behind the sofa as they came towards her each snarling and wrestling for the best position. David being a 'rouge' had street fighting, instincts, and always being on guard on his side. Antwon was Alpha, so he was strong, but because he was Alpha no one challenged him. He got lazy and used his reputation to fight his battles for him.

Asha knew someone was going to be coming to her door to find out if she was okay; which meant should we call the police. But she'll deal with that problem later. David had just beaten the Alpha and she was witness. David could claim to be new Alpha. Asha knew that much. It was how Antwon became Alpha. Now as custom Antwon is supposed to bow to the greater fighter to the greater Alpha. She watched his labored breathing.

There was a knock and Asha went to the door. She explained to security she was fine and that her and her friend had too much fun. She winked and he saw her blush. She knew he thought they were having some sort of kinky sex. Especially when he could see past her and her destroyed furniture. She said goodbye and turned back to David standing over the down and out Antwon.

"Do you want to be Alpha, David?" Asha whispered the question knowing Antwon could hear her by the stiffening in his legs. She also knew if David said No Antwon would be humiliated and eventually try to kill him or her to get back at him. If he said yes Antwon would try to kill him now in case he actually did try to get his pack. Either way Antwon was going to try to kill him or her or birth. It just depended on if it was going to be now or later down the road.

David Burn

David was fighting for control, the beast was in a frenzy and wanted to kill, but David was not giving in, finally he overcame the beast and it retreated, fighting him all the way, as David gained control his body started to transform back to his human form.

He looked down at Antwon, his shoulder felt like he ran into a train, the various scratches and bitemarks hurt like hell, he was tired, but not drained and pissed off. So VERY pissed off, but in control, the beast had it's time out and now David was in control, he looked down at Antwon with contempt

"He can keep his stinking pack, but if he comes close to you again, I'll rip his fucking heart out"

David straightened up, so Asha was a werewolf as well and from the looks of it, she was a rogue as well. He winced as he looked over at her, he knew he'd have to take off tomorrow, he can't go to work looking like this.

Tori sat there, she could feel the emotions coming from Dianna, but at this moment she couldnt help her friend. Her own mind was in shambles at all the things that had happened in such a short time. SHe glanced up when she heard the bushes rustle and squinted towards a streetlight. The light was behind whoever was standing there in the shadows, but she could tell it was a werewolf,a large one at that.

She sucked in a moment of panic as she tried to see his face more clear but he remained in the shadows. "I know it is you...why are you following us?"She asked him softly as she stood ,moving to the edge of the porch and looking at him.

Her heart raced as she could feel the raw energy coming from his body,it make her body shiver. He said nothing yet she felt as if he was calling out to her. She took a step off of the porch, moving a few steps closer to him. She was almost directly in front of him when she stopped, still his face was hidden in the shadows. He dwarfed her smaller form at least twice over and was many times wider than her. She knew he could break her in two with one massive hand..paw? She took a deep breath and was close enough she could feel his breath blowing across her face.

Something at that second told herself to turn and run,she felt the strong sexual urge from him,the repressed emotions. She turned and let out a small cry as her feet slid on the wet grass, she fell to her knees painfully. She looked over her shoulder but could no longer see the wolf, she let out another cry as she struggled to her feet. The porch as right there in front of her...so close. She screamed for Dianna in her mind, her voice failing to work as she reached out to grasp the railing to the porch..the wood inches from her fingertips....

Since Tori wanted to be alone, Di wrote a quick note saying that she was going out and to call her if she needed her. She hadn't realized it earlier but she needed a moment alone too. Dianna quickly slipped on some jeans and a t-shirt, grabbed her keys and cellphone, stake and gun (just in case) then walked outside. Di inhaled the fresh air, hearing the slight rustle in the bushes but paid no attention to it. She wanted to relax for a moment and if anything jumped out and attacked her, she'd stake or shoot it. It was that simple.

Dianna just started walking. That dream had really troubled her. Was it a sign that she wouldn't be able to defeat her mothers killer without that vampire? Normally, dreams either meant that something was to come or it was something that you wanted. She couldn't want a vampire though! She was a slayer, slayers didn't fall in love with vampires. At least, she didn't. Yes, there had been plenty of stories that when slayers did they got killed by either the vampire clan or eventually wanted to be converted to the undead.

She was not one of those people.

"Oh my god, this is so fucking crazy!" She yelled outloud. "It was just a dream,Di. It didn't mean anything. If anything, it meant you don't need a man's help let alone...a vampire's help to kill a werewolf. You killed the werewolf in your dream...not the vampire!!"

Asha nodded as Antwon stood up. He transformed back to his human self and glared at David. Antwon looked like he was seizing him up. Asha didn't realize she wasn't breathing until her brain forced her to exhale which sounded like she was hyperventilating. Antwon stiffened and Asha wasn't sure what he was thinking. He turned slowly towards her and then ran.

Asha screamed and threw herself backwards. Her legs kicked out, caught Antwon, and she propelled him over her. It was all instinct and she watched Antwon fly through the hair and slam into her wall. His body flew back and his head hit a statue that she kept for ambiance. He went down. He stayed down.

"Antwon?" Asha slowly crawled towards him as red started to surround his red. "Oh SHIT ANTWON!" Asha couldn't believe it. His chest wasn't rising and falling. She crawled over and put her hand onto his nect. She searched for a pulse. "I think he's dead."

Suddenly they heard a howl and Asha jumped. Than another. And another. Soon it sounded like the world was howling at them. "Take the pack, David." Asha already knew that she couldn't take the pack. She would be challenged and killed the moment they realize it was her. Also she didn't know how to be a wolf. Her teacher, mother, died before she could explain everything to her. The howling continued and Asha was more worried about the wolves than the dead man on her floor.

"Why are we here again? I entered her dream she should be..."

"...Sleeping" Ivanna completed his sentence "but if she kicked you out of the dream rather bluntly, I'm sure she woke up. Now she is either talking to the empath friend of hers or walking around hoping to ease her frustrations murdering something"

"Ok, I admit it makes sense."

Then her computer made a buzzing sound.

"And I guess that means someone saw her outside, right?" added Raphael

Ivanna smiled "yes it does" she sped up the car and took a few sharp turns before stopping in a rather secluded street. She took her computer "this is your stop, she should be somewhere in that direction"

Raphael took a good look at her before getting off "You might be wiser in the ways of magic, and be my best assistant, but don't forget your place."

"I won't Raphael, I'm just trying to help you."

Raphael got off the car, he apreciated Ivanna's efficiency, but he didn't want her to let the the fact that she was in charge of so much stuff get to her head.

Still now his focus had to be in something else. After walking for a while he spotted Dianna walking down the street. Her resolve seemed to have slightly faded, still he should be watchful, she had promised to use the stake on him.

He moved towards her silently, using the shadows even if he was behind her as he approached her as fast as he could.

"I didn't expect to see you so soon... and without company"

He said as his hands moved down to match her wrists, if she reached for a stake or the gun, his hands would capture hers first.

Normally, Dianna was on top of her game. She could hear any and every movement. Then again, she'd also had Tori by her side in case there was something she didn't hear or sense. Unfortunately, she was too lost in her own thoughts to pay much attention to the area surrounding her. She could've easily been attacked at that moment.

"I didn't expect to see you so soon... and without company"

Dianna whirled around, her hand grasping her stake ready to stab whomever was behind her but stopped instantly, the moment she saw whom it was. Her heart had this odd, unsteady beat when she saw him. He had grabbed her hand, stopping her from stabbing him in the chest.

Her eyes narrowed at him. Her heart began beating quickly again. "Let go..." Di growled, glaring at him. Her eyes sparked with anger but despite the uncalled for anger she felt, her blood was bumping. Her half vampire side wanted to be let loose. She closed her eyes, trying to shake it off. She hadn't quite learned how to control THAT side of her, much. All she could do was push it away as best as she could.

"I don't need a babysitter. Tori wanted to be alone, I did just that. I can take care of myself." She finally said.

As she told him to let go he did, his eyes looking right into her glare as if trying to read her through them, and also showing her that she wasn't going to intimidate him, then she closed her eyes as if fighting herself, he smiled knowing he was stirring something in her.

"I'm not here to babysit you, or to say you can't take care of yourself. I'm just surprised your friend is not with you. Also I hoped to run into you, but I didn't expect for it to happen so soon."

His eyes kept moving away from hers for brief moments to scan her movements, and also take in her perfect fit body. She was very sexy, and had that untamed air that made all the slayers irresistible, she also had a darker unusual side to her, a part he wondered if he could use to his benefit.

"Do you plan to stake me Dianna? I would be much more at ease if I can stop checking your movements."

David Burn

David listened to the howls rising around them, he knew that neither Asha or him had wanted to kill Antwon. He winced as he moved over to Asha and knelt down next to her, wrapping his arms around her as the howls echoed through the night. He could do this, but he could not do it alone, he knew nothing about the beast, he could hardly control it and Asha...well Asha seemed like she knew more than him.

He gently turned her head to face him and he could see the shock in her eyes, he could feel that just like him she didn't want to take Antwon's place. His mind ran wild and then settled on one sollution, an answer that would either make the pack better, or destroy it utterly. He wiped her hair out of her face and smiled reasuringly at her

"Asha I know nothing about being a wolf, neither do you. But you are a leader, you know how to make decisions, but the pack will find it difficult to believe that you have bested Antwon without a scratch. Let's lead this pack together, you and me, or let them fight it out among them to their own Alpha"

It was clear that he was not intimidated by her, which she wasn't sure was a turn on or an annoyance. No, it was an annoyance. He was a vampire, she was only half vampire; not to mention a slayer. Yeah, hooking up with him was a definite no-no. It didn't matter how sexy he looked especially when he had that oh so smug smile on his face like he could see right through her.

"Good, cause I don't want your babysitting." She said, before he asked her if she was going to stake him. Sighing, she put the stake back in her pocket but still narrowed her eyes, "No, I won't stake you...yet. If you do something that I don't like, I will though. Make no mistake of that, vampire."

She refused to call him by his first name even though he'd given it to her already. If she did that, it meant she was a friend of his or at least an aquaintance she wasn't going to have him thinking that she was trying to make any sort of bond with him. Dianna was not weak.

"There, feel better?" She asked in a mocking 'motherly' tone. God, what a baby! she thought. "Wait, what do you mean you wanted to see me again? We just met. " Dianna raised her eyebrow at Raphael. "Why?" She asked suspiciously.

She had never trusted anything that didn't have a heartbeat, zombies and vampires were definitely on that list. Dianna wasn't about to start now.

"True, we just met, but we did because I was looking for you Dianna" He stressed her name as much as she did the vampire.

"I might have just met you, but you are not the first slayer I met... not all have been as rational as you of course, I offer you my help Dianna, if you face great danger... when you do, I can help you. I don't expect much, I just think that a good slayer is one that takes out problems not just mindlessly kills any supernatural being she comes along with..." Then he took a few steps in the direction she was going before, and he turned towards her.

"Will you walk with me as we talk? I feel like we are wasting part of a good night by just standing here."

All she needed was her mothers kill to come out of the shadows and this would have been just like her dream. She recalled that promise she'd made to Tori and took a deep breath closing her eyes for a few moments. She didn't trust him, though she wasn't sure why. It wasn't as if he'd done anything to harm her but she had this uneasy feeling

Not to mention the fact that his prescence being around her caused her half vampire side to maul around inside of her like crazy, practically begging to be let free...or at the very least spend time with him.

He is partially your kind her vampire side thought.

"Fine, but if you try anything..." She began to warn him. Dianna grasped her stake as an emphasis as to what would happen to him if he tried to do anything slick. She began walking with him and sighed"I still don't understand why you were looking for me." She said, then her hazel eyes looked up at him, "Why were you looking for me? I mean are you purposely trying to get killed or something? And I don't mindlessly kill supernatural beings." She said in defense.

"There is a reason for everything I do. " Dianna's voice was indignant.

He chuckled as she justified herself, and completely ignored her warning "Once more, I didn't say there wasn't, all I saw you kill was a werewolf that had just attacked your friend, that was a perfect reason to kill him."

He moved closer to her, but didn't yet dare to take her arm. "I'm not trying to get killed, quite the opposite, you as a slayer are a controlling force of the unruly supernaturals, wanton killers, vampires, werewolves, zombies even the ocassional witch or warlock, anything that kills just because it can, attempts to enslave mankind, that kind of thing."

He brushed her arm as he kept going "what I meant as mindlessly killing is that some slayers would have killed people that meant no harm, or that could help them, I once met one that would have killed someone like Tori because of her powers. And I'm sure you know firsthand how wrong that would have been."

Then he stopped and turned towards her "I'm not asking you to take as truth everything I say, after all you are right to distrust a vampire, but I want to help you" his eyes were locked on hers as he kept talking "could it be so wrong to just listen?" As he finished this sentence he moved forward as if about to kiss her, but he stopped before getting there, he wanted to see her reaction first.

As Raphael stepped closer to Dianna, Dianna stepped back. She kept a close suspcious eye on his every movement. She would not trust him, she would not trust him, she would not trust him. Biting her lip, she left her hand grasping the stake just in case he decided that he wanted her as a snack instead of actually wanted to help her.

It was stuff that she'd already known, stuff that her mother had told her before she had gone off to college. It was like he was mimicking everything her mother had told her and for a moment she was lost to the world and could hear her mothers voice.

She hated how she was still haunted by the night her mother died. The brief skin to skin contact of his arm brushing against hers brought her back to the here and now. Her vampire senses seemed to flare up at his touch. Again, she shook off those feelings."It would've been wrong because Tori is a very sweet girl." Dianna agreed.

Dianna swallowed hard at his last comment. He was merely inches away from her mouth and she was certain he'd kiss her...like in the dream. However, this was real life and he wasn't kissing her...he was waiting for her answer. "I haven't left have I?" came her weak retort.

"Yes, it's true" he smiled at how weakened her resolve seemed to have gotten, that had been his plan, if he just came up to her and kissed her like in the dream her barriers would have been way up, but by talking to her and saying things she agreed to he had been slowly eroding her defenses. Now he was certain she was ready.

He put his hand on her cheek as he stared into her eyes. "I'm glad you didn't left Dianna" he said and pressed his lips against hers, a demanding hungry kiss that he expected would echo in the darker side she posessed. Still knowing to be watchful he made it brief and he pulled back, curious as to what her reaction would be.

Asha felt David approach. She didn't want this and every one of those howls sounded like a death sentence to her. They were mourning the lost of their Alpha. They were going to hunt her down and kill her. She killed him. Dammit, why was he in human form? Why did he hit his head? Didn't he have a hard head? It was an accident, but it didn't matter. They wouldn't care. She felt arms wrapped around her and she turned into them.

Asha turned to David hoping he'll take the pack and leave her out of it. She didn't want to go back to them. They reminded her of Antwon and beatings that went unchallenged. His words made her heart race and she wanted to shout no. Than again they both were rouges and they had to make a decision quickly. They can do this. Together.

"Okay. It'll work only in two ways. I'm Alpha your Beta/Enforcer. Which means you'll have to protect me always." Asha did not like that idea. She hated it. "Or we go as Alpha and mate." The second option wasn't much better. Mating was for life. Deeper than marriage. She was letting David choose and she will work this like her boardroom meetings.

"Hurry we have to decide how we're going to present this. A pack cannot have two Alphas." Asha was already figuring out how to get Antwon out of her apartment, clean up the blood, and get to the pack before they followed Antwon's trail here. They were running out of time.

For some odd reason, he was having a big effect on Dianna. When he told her he was happy she didn't leave, her body seemed to roar at that. "I..." she stammered, "You told me to stay and listen, I saw nothing wrong with it..." she said. Dianna had to close her eyes again and try and fight the vampire within her.

Toriiiii her mind screamed, desperately to the only person who could calm her down.

Nothing seemed to be working however and she was caught off guard when Raphael crushed his lips against hers. Her hand still clutched the stake but it was almost like her vampire side was trying to take control of her body and wouldn't allow her to stake him in that instant.

A low growl emitted from her lips, before she summoned as much power and pushed him back against the tree and pulled out the stake. "I told you if you tried something slick, I'd stake you...vampire!" She hissed. However, her eyes flashed a bright yellow before returning back to their hazel color. The stake was pushed lightly against his chest.

Fear nearly ran through Raphael, if he hadn't noticed the yellow brightness that came from her eyes he might have defended himself and ruin a great part of the progress.

Now he had the answer, that dark energy he had been picking up, she was half vampire. Not even Ivanna had been able to corroborate this but now he was sure, apparently his former servant had been able to get to the previous slayer more than he knew.

"I could not hold back Dianna" he said calmly his eyes looking right at hers again "and I think you couldn't for a while either" He didn't move, nor reached for the stake, he wanted it to be completely her decision not to kill him.

Go away, go away, go away! Dianna screamed to her inner vampire. Now was not the time to start vamping out, not while she was around a vampire. What if he noticed? Oh god, if he noticed...she was dead. FUCK! Her whole body was stiff as she mentally battled her vampiress which was trying to take over. God, but the way he looked at her made Dianna's body hum. The stake fell to the ground and she backed away clearing her throat.

"I don't know what you're talking about, vampire." She snapped, before picking up her stake and sliding it back in her pocket. "You just got lucky that I haven't been sleeping well and am not on my game tonight. Otherwise, I would have killed you."

Though she was pulling her bravado act, her whole body shook. She let out an unsteady breath as she tried to calm herself. She spun around and looked at him, "And I could've killed you...I was just also feeling extremely nice. You caught me on a good night. Now, do you wanna talk or not? I have class tomorrow so if we're done I'm going to go back to bed."

He could hardly control the smile that crept to his face when the stake fell. Then he heard her "bravado act" but he didn't fail to notice the shakes her body had, and know he knew, her rational mind was fighting her vampiric side, which meant that to an extent he was gaining influence in her.

"I trust that you could have killed me..." he moved closer to her now that the weapon wasn't between them "if you had really wanted to kill me."

"and yes I still want to talk if..." he stopped for a second as he heard movement in nearby bushes and a soft growl he knew that something like this was bound to happen when they stepped into the park, the weres had been very restless lately, wether from the pack or rogue ones, and he figured this was a chance to build up her confidence in him.

"I assume you heard the dogs too, they sure know how to ruin a moment."

As he finished saying this, two werewolves decided that hiding wasn't necessary with a couple taking a romantic stroll in the park and jumped out towards them with a howl.

Leo

He watched her move closer to him. She knew who he was. Had she sensed him earlier? Most likely. She was an empath, after all. She moved closer to him. He knew he couldn't speak in this form, but wasn't quite willing to transform back. He was a wolf. At least that's what he though. He was curious though, as to why she thought he was following both of them. He was only there for her.

She moved up closer. So close he could almost touch her. He started reaching out with his muzzle, wanting to feel her. He battled with his emotions. A strong sexual desire seemed to sweep through him. Why? Why, why, why? He repressed his feelings and sat back again. At that time she turned, a sudden alarm in her eyes. He quickly moved into deeper shadows when she fell to the ground. He started to move away, feeling he had stayed too long.

He glanced around the corner to see the slayer moving away. He need not follow her. No reason to. He started walking away when his feet suddenly stopped working. He fell to the ground and realized he could go no where else but back to the empath, now struggling to get to the porch. He growled to himself, angered that his body wouldn't obey him. It was then he realized he could not leave Tori. His feelings immediately changed, affected by the small girl struggling in the grass. He moved to her slowly, steadily. He did what came natural.

He moved to her and picked her up in his mouth by the scruff of her robe. He pulled her over into deeper shadows where they wouldn't be seen by wandering eyes. He then laid her down and, laying beside her, curled his own furred body around her. His body shivered with emotion he hadn't felt in quite some time and hoped she would stay with him. He needed her now, for some reason, and he was determined to find out.

David Burn

Two choices was placed before him and he didn't like either one of them, he didn't want this pack, but not stepping up as the victor could mean their death. Had he not step in to protect her? Then he will have to go with the first option, she'll be the leader and he'll be her enforcer. He looked down at her and wondered how she looked in her were form, he bet that she looked just as great as she did in her human form.

"I'll go with the first option, I faced him to protect you, you killed him and if I'm reading the signs right that makes you Alpha"

David sighed

"I know we don't want this, but it happened and we'll have to just accept our fates for now"

He got to his feet and pulled her up as well, then gave her a mischievious grin

"Well guess I've been banging the boss"

He laughed, it released some of the tension and pain he had, then he looked down at Antwon

"We'll need to get rid of him as well"

Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out.... Dianna silently told herself. She barely heard Raphael come into close contact with her until she felt his body heat. Slowly, Di lifted her eyes to meet his then narrowed them. What did he mean, 'had she wanted to kill him'? Was he implying that she didn't want to kill him?

"Thats because I don't stake a vampire for something stupid like a kiss." She snapped, "That would be reckless behavior. I'm not reckless."

"and yes I still want to talk if..." His sudden pause and the noise in the bushes made Dianna turn her jerk her head in the direction of the bushes. Her hand quickly grasped the stake and gun, in case it was a vampire or a werewolf. She wanted to be ready for either type of monster to attack her.

"Yeah, I hear em.." she said. Yes! This was exactly the sort of distraction she needed. She needed an outlet for the sexual frustration that had started building up inside of her. Suddenly two werewolves jumped out from the bushes. "Oh double the werewolf, double the fun."

Dianna's eyes flashed dangerously as one of the werewolves lunged at her while the other lunged at Raphael. Dianna managed to dodge the lunge at the last second. Dianna lifted her leg and kicked the werewolf down pulling out her gun but it knocked it out of her hand.

Raphael moved to the werewolf on his side, meeting him halfway of his lunge by hitting him hard in the head with the silver tipped cane, the burning of the silver and the strenght of the blow caused the werewolf to move backwards.

He turned to look at Dianna and saw that the wolf had managed to knock the gun out of her hand. He took out his in a hurry while keeping his wolf away with the cane, making him calculate before striking again.

"Here!" he said and tossed his own gun to Dianna, she should be able to handle her foe but reaching for her own gun would be very dangerous.

After that he attacked his wolf, this time the fear of the silver made him turn at the right time and he managed to hit Raphael on the chest ripping through his clothes, the hit would have been much harder hadn't Raphael been wearing the silver amulet, that burned his enemy's hand making him recoil. Seizing the advantage Raphael bashed the lycan with the cane once more, keeping the silver in contact with the beastly face.

The dog was drooling over her body ready to eat her right then and there and she was certain this was how her mother had died. Did her mother feel as much as she was feeling at this very moment. Normally, Tori was around to warn her of the werewolves and catch them off guard. This time it was terribly different.

"Here!"

Raphaels gun was thrown towards her and she caught it, then aimed it at the wolf who stared at her with fear. At the moment, she was fuming because her pride wouldn't allow her to want his help but even so, she was smart enough to realize that if she didn't accept the gun and reach for her own it would be like asking for the werewolf to kill her.

She released the safety button and aimed, then shot without holding back & ran to grab her own gun. Dianna whirled around and shot at the werewolf that was pressed against Raphael's cane, killing him on contact.

Once the werewolf was dead, she glared at him. "I did NOT need your help." She said, completely in denial. "And before you insist that I did, I don't. I was just caught off guard, I could've kicked the the big bad wolf and grabbed my gun. Using yours was just easier."
