The Underworld

Dianna swallowed hard as she tried to wrench free from his grip until he finally agreed to let her go if she would tell him something. She stopped struggling so much and looked at him. Her sparkly hazel eyes stared at him for a moment, curiousity getting the better of her. "What?" She asked, raising her eyebrow.

"What does your vampire side want now?"

She opened her mouth to blurt out a lie. It would've been easier to say, I want to stake your ass off right here and now. However everytime she tried to get that line out, a cough came out instead. Damn it all to hell. She hated this, she hated it so fucking much.

She knew what she wanted but she didn't want Raphael to know that. Her breathing became more and more rapid though, like the longer she stayed in his grasp, the sooner she'd become her vampire half. "It wants to kiss you again..." Dianna blurted, "Now let go..." Dianna snapped, jerking her hand trying to pull it away.

He smiled, she was telling the truth, there was no way that was a lie after all. Also he had promised... in a way, so he let go of her hand.

"Is that why you keep stepping away from me? You fear it's going to get control of you for a while... again?"

His eyes kept following hers. "I have another question... why did you follow me when I was leaving?"

She was shaking now and he kept staring at her, like if he stared at her she would respond or as if his stare would have power over her vampire side. Ironically enough, it did and her slayer side hated it, she despised it. Her fists clenched in anger because she wanted so badly to say, 'to stake your dumb idiotic fanged ass' and it seemed like hours ago, she would've done just that.

However, her resolve was weakening. She stepped back from him just to keep herself from turning all fanged girl on him. She noticed when she stepped back far enough she could lie to him, " No, that isn't why I keep stepping back from you, I step back from you because like I said, I don't trust you." It was a partial truth. She didn't trust him.

"I don't know why I chased after you. Maybe my crazy vampire half decided it wanted to play tag with the only vampire she knew." She was being sarcastic of course which meant she wasn't lying because it wasn't a straight out answer. Oh, so she could skate around the truth. That was interesting. She could skate around the truth and tell partial truths.

"mmm, no, I don't think so, you didn't hold back your half for everything but fighting demons to now play tag, maybe you chased me, because your side wants more than just kiss me... and maybe you don't trust me, but I doubt that is the only thing behind this dance we keep doing"

He looked at her, sure he could grab her again, but that wouldn't be as fun, it would be a repeated trick.

"How about this? if you take a step closer to me, I'll tell you how you would be able to stake me."

Leo

He sighed internally as the the little empath's hands touched his fur. She seemed to calm down near him. That was always good. She wrapped her fingers in his fur and he felt himself calm down. Her eyes looked up into his. He could see clear down to her soul. It was beautiful. She reached out tentatively and touched his snout. He leaned into her palm. She closed her eyes and laid her head down on him. He laid his over her body protectively and closed his eyes.

There were several howls of anger and despair. Very loud ones. Werewolves. He listened. Apparently someone had just killed the Alpha of the pack here. Interesting. There would most likely be a meeting held by the new Alpha, and he was almost tempted to attend and see the size of the pack and catch a glimpse of the new Alpha before he left this entire area. He was pulled back to reality by Tori, who shifted slightly. He opened his eyes. She was still with him, and that made him happy. He still had no idea why he needed to be with her, but he was pretty sure that he couldn't see into just anybody's soul. He sighed again, content with his position in life.

After all, he now had a reason to live. And that reason was right here. A young woman, an empath, named Victoria Alexander.

David Burn

David listened to Asha in silence and he was glad that he decided to give her the Alpha position. She took to it like a duck to water, where he would have struggled to even gain their attention. He noticed a few challenging glances towards Asha and him, but he just needed one day to get himself prepared. He lived long enough with the beast to knows what hurt and killed it.

When Asha stepped down first one, then another howl and soon the whole pack was howling, it sounded like a roar of a huge wave. David saw Asha tip back her head and join, he smiled as he watched her proud stance, the defiant tilt to her head as she released her inner beast. He moved forward and stood close to Asha, making anybody understand that anybody moving towards her without just a hint of malice will be met with anger.

When the howls finally died down, David looked around them, he didn't feel a pull towards any of them, so the were that turned him wasn't here...wait what was he thinking? If he killed the were which turned him, he'll become human, he'll lose Asha and most probably his own life. Mulling this over he followed Asha as she moved through the pack, talking to other weres. A hand on his arm shook him out of his reverie and he looked into the almost black eyes of a were

"You certainly seem like you took a beating, did Antwon do that to you?"

David nodded

"I bested him in combat, but refused to take the pack from him, no offense against you, I just know I wouldn't fit in..."

David motioned at Asha with his eyes

"Antwon didn't like that and he attacked her, man I never saw furiousity like that. She almost ripped him apart, I don't think she actually needed me there"

"Maybe she doesn't need you"

David gave the were a feral grin and leaned down and closer

"You are welcome to try, but believe me, I may look hurt now, just imagine what you will look like"

With that David turned and walked to catch up with Asha

Dianna hesitated for a moment. Would he really tell her how to stake him? She stared at him suspiciously. Her vampire senses flared and begged for her to step forward and she nearly did. If she hadn't followed her slayer insticts, she would've done something incredibly stupid.

What sane vampire would tell you how to stake him dead?

Dianna smiled slowly, "No thank you. I'll figure it out on my own." She stepped back even more. "Besides, unless you actually want to die..I doubt you'd actually tell me how to kill you. I don't see how that would benefit you. I may be part vampire but that doesn't make me stupid."

Tori, where the hell are you? I need you, now!

She didn't bother answering his other questions for a moment, trying to think up a good response. "As for why I chased you down, don't act as if you know me or vampire side...because you don't." Yes! Her slayer side was taking control again. Thank god, Dianna was starting to get scared for a moment. She hated not being in control. She'd felt that way when her mother was killed. "And as far as I'm concerned, you won't ever know me...ever.." Her eyes narrowed, darkening with anger.

"I don't think you are stupid, specially your vampiric side. I have a reason to tell you" he took another step forward not minding her angry look "I don't have a death wish, but if you know how to kill me, you would trust me more easily" He raised his shoulders "but if you want a challenge, who am I to take it away... I won't give you a reason to kill me, but I'm sure that won't stop you from trying to find out"

He took another step "I'm not saying I know you, I just make observations. You might want to think I'm just another vampire, but I want you to ask yourself this, how much of an average vampire can I be? you probably turned hundreds to dust, yet I'm willing to bet that I'm the first one that you communicated mentally with... that doesn't make you even slightly curious?"

Tori, where the hell are you? I need you, now!

Those words floated into Tori's head and she jerked upright, her eyes darting around her. She saw Leo looking at her,a puzzled expression marring his wolven face, his eyes almost seemed to ask her what was wrong. She stood on shaky legs, closing her eyes and taking a few deep breaths.

She looked down at Leo and then off through the trees, feeling the panic pouring from DIanna. "I'm sorry...I have to go...She needs me."She spoke a soft apology to him as she leaned down and placed a soft kiss along his muzzle before turning and running off.

Tori took off across the slippery dew covered grass, she had no clue which way to go,just that she had to go this direction. She staggered as she drew closer to Dianna and the full force of the vampire with her hit her, plus something else. "God...No..."Tori whispered feeling the torment Dianna was feeling, the desperation, the conflict with her other self.

Tori rounded the corner of the park and stopped as she saw the two standing face to face, her own body wanting to scream from the mental battle they were having. She stepped closer and then took a deep breath, she had to get through this for Dianna's sake. "DIANNA!" She cried out to her friend as she rushed forward. She lifted her arms and gave Rapheal a hard shove between the shoulder blades, grunting as she hit solid wall.

She stumbled backwards, her eyes going from Dianna back to him. She swallowed deeply as she moved to Dianna's side and touched her friends arm. She could feel the evil, the darkness pouring off of her. "Dianna...please...fight it."Tori begged her friend as she turned to her, ignoring the fact a vampire was stand right beside her. "You can't give in to it. We have managed this long..so hold it together."She lowered her voice to speak directly to Dianna, making her look at her.

"I'm not saying I know you, I just make observations. You might want to think I'm just another vampire, but I want you to ask yourself this, how much of an average vampire can I be? you probably turned hundreds to dust, yet I'm willing to bet that I'm the first one that you communicated mentally with... that doesn't make you even slightly curious?"

Dianna slowly began to shake her head. No, this was stupid, absolutely fucking stupid. She wasn't curious. She was probably just tapping into her vampire powers or whatever. It was nothing to worry about. It wasn't the end of the world, so she communicated with one measely vampire.

He's right you know. He's the only one I've ever been able to communicate with. You and that silly empath made sure of that, but where is she now? Hm... probably doesn't want anything to do with you now.

Dianna bit her lip, shaking her head more furiously. No, it was wrong. Tori would show up any minute now and save the day. She'd never ditched her before. However, the words echoed from earlier ran through her mind 'What if I can't be there?' She swallowed hard, she was right. Tori was right. She couldn't be here. She couldn't save her from her other self. No matter what she would always be half vampire.

Maybe she wasn't even destined to be a slayer, maybe...

"DIANNA!"

Dianna's eyes which had been flickering from pale yellow to hazel back and forth, back and forth turned slowly back to hazel. "Tori?" She whispered and turned around slowly watching as Tori pushed Raphael in the shoulder.

"Dianna...please...fight it."

"Yeah, I got this."

She took a deep breath and went back into slayer mode before stepping towards the vampire. "I'm not curious. I know my heritage. I may be part vampire but make no mistake, vampire; I am 100 percent slayer and I will stake your ass. " Using her vampire strength but not letting it out fully, she grabbed him by the throat, "I may not be able to kill you right now..but I'll figure out a way and I trust my slayer instincts and right now it's screaming that everything about you is pure and unadulterated evil, and guess what? I kill evil beings. So guess what? You're on my hit list." She released his throat letting him fall to the ground then joined Tori, "Lets go, Tori. We have class tomorrow."

He... maybe he could even say they, were getting to her, she was giving in to him, giving in to despair... then it happened. The freaking empath showed up and ruined it. She tried to attack him, but it didn't affect him, luckily his mind was too strong for her.

But then she managed to shake the despair off of Dianna. And the slayer dared to come up to him, and grab him by the throat, he was too surprised to decide a course of action, before she finished his speech and let him go.

He was angry, but he knew much better than to attack them, after all that wasn't what he wanted.

He allowed them to go away, after a while he closed his eyes, and smiled knowing he was right, once the channel had been open it wouldn't close.

"Sometime you will need me Dianna. Remember this."

Then he took out his cellphone. "Ivanna"

"I'm on the way, I have some things you need to see"

Asha was scared shitless when the howls died down. She knew the pack was impressed with her station in human life. She was worth billions and as a pack shares everything they knew that at least financially they were moving up in life. When that stopped being a novelty she was back to square 1; not being killed. Until then she was going to get everyone to at least think she knew how to run things.

Asha moved through the crowd listening to people already telling her what things they needed for the move, things they've been requesting, and problems they had. Just about all were doable. "Thank you for letting me know...please make a list for David and I'll make sure he'll get the items." Asha turned to look at David. She noticed he was making friends and with all the weres talking she couldn't hear what they were talking about.

"David?" Asha called him over waiting for him to catch up. "I need you to make a list of everything they'll need. Also there are a few issues that need your attention." Asha left David to handle those few things as she went through the rest of the crowd. She wasn't silly enough to leave David's sight, but she did flip open her phone and make a few phone calls.

3 hours later and Asha had 3 homes that needed viewing that had the amenities she needed, she had a credit card set up in David's name so he can purchase whatever needed purchasing, she had movers schedule, and she had a new pack banking account with a few million specifically for the pack in case of emergency. She knew none of them would abuse it. Plus she wasn't going to tell them exactly how much was in there. Just let them know they could use up to $2,000 before the bank will put a stop on the account.

Asha walked back to David. "I'm ready to go home. Are you?"

Leo

He watched her stand up shakily. She murmured an apology and kissed his muzzle. He watched her move off through the trees. He cocked his head slightly. A slayer needed her? Interesting. What could be causing a slayer that much trouble? He sniffed the air. A strong scent of Tori and Dianna..and something else. A vampire. This one was old. And powerful. He heard the cry as it left Tori's lips. He snapped. He was off the ground in less than a second and had covered the distance to the park in less than five. He slowed to a quiet stop just inside the treeline, watching the three figures in the clearing. Tori shoved past the vampire and Leo could see the anger flash in his eyes. A low growl emerged from the wolf's throat. The vampire would die before he would touch her.

Dianna herself was still shaking, but slowly came back to her normal, at least what he thought was normal, self. She gave a threat to the vampire before her and Tori moved off, back to the house. He followed, staying just away from them in the shadows. He decided he would move his resting spot here. He would want to be closer to Tori anyway. He laid down in a spot beneath a several large fallen branches that served as a natural shelter in the woods near the house. He shrugged. Or, at least as much of a shrug as a wolf can manage. She would find him if she needed him. He was sure of that. He laid his head on the ground and closed his eyes. He didn't sleep quite yet. He would wait a few hours, see what happens.

David Burn

From somewhere the weres produced a pen with a skull decoration and a note book, David wondered what else there was if given the proper time to search, but he was too busy making a list and watching over Asha to actually go into that thought process. He was growing at his wit's end as the only thing the weres seemed to need was food, a substitute for human hearts and flesh.

"I'm ready to go home. Are you?"

He looked thankfully at her and said soft enough so that she could hear him

"God I love you"

Then continued in a normal tone

"Beam me up Scottie"

He gave her a grin a motioned a girl of seemingly twenty over

"What's your name?"

"Lu"

"OK Lu, take this and make sure that everything that everybody needs is on that list, any issues you write in the back, I have most of them memorized, but just make sure about it. I'll come back for the book later today OK?"

She nodded and took the book and pen, David pointed out the were who lightly threatened him earlier.

"You, I'm holding you personally responsible that everybody listens to this here girl"

The were started to give a response but instead just lowered his head in a nod. David turned to Asha and gave her a "I-hope-that-works" look

"OK let's go, I need some sleep"

Asha watched David as he worked. He could be Alpha. He was good at giving orders it seemed and even one were looked like he was going to challenge him, but backed down. Asha wondered if that would be a problem, but decided David could handle it. If it would be an issue she was sure he would tell her. She smiled at the young female were and even the problem one before turning to head out the door.

"Alpha," Asha turned but the were was looking at David. "We need to talk." Asha knew it would be hard to accept her as their Alpha. She just didn't expect to be challenged so soon. They seemed to have accepted her but already were having second thoughts?! She had to nip this or her life was in jeopardy. Asha reached forward grabbed the were by the throat and with her strength and anger turned towards the wall. She had meant to slam him against it, but there was a small hook and she ended up hanging him on the hook. Her eyes widen for that split second as the were howled in pain.

"Shut up!" He whimpered at Asha's command. "You dare disrespect me to my face. You claim my beta is better than me. You will stay up there until I remember to take you down."

The were couldn't unhook himself. He was bleeding everywhere. "I'll bleed to death!" Asha gave him cold dead boardroom eyes. "Please," he pleaded. Asha made her eyes go bored. She just had to think of this as a negotiation meeting. "There's a slayer. She's killing our people. I have information!"

Asha tilted her head as she thought about this. "Very well. Bring him down. When you healed and that better be in 3 hours. Come to my apartment. Tell me more on the slayer. If you're lying to me I'll kill you myself." Asha looked around at her pack. She tried to catch everyone's eyes. She was tiny, small, but she had to make them think she was bigger, stronger, powerful. She did this in board meetings she could do this with killers... right?

Stephanie Katsomora

" Stake, check. Gun with silver bullets, check. Book of different demons etc, check. Now all I have to do is find Dianna Slater." The pretty little asian girl murmured to herself as she walked through the cold night air of L.A. Her name was Stephanie Katsomora. She was 18 years old and had just recently found out that she was a slayer. A disappointing fact to hear on your 18th birthday. Even more so disappointing was having to find the girl who would train her. Well, the daughter of the woman who would train her.

Yes, Stephanie with her dark brown hair and slightly wavy hair was an amatuer slayer. She hadn't had much practice in slaying....well, anything really. She did return a dark spirit back to hell, but she wasn't certain that classified itself as demon slaying. Did it? No, not really. Spirit slaying? Maybe. "Oh! Here it is." Stephanie said as she walked into the dorm room hall for sophmores at UCLA. "Excuse me, pardon me, coming through!" She said, pushing her way through the crowd.

"Room A15." She mumbled, glancing up as she looked at the dorm room numbers. After a few minutes of being pushed around by sophmore college girls, she finally found the dorm room of Dianna Slater. "You can do this, Steph. Your grandmother told you that your fate was in L.A. where vampires roamed free. You can do this, you are calm, cool, and collected." She knocked on the door. No answer.

Stephanie blinked and knocked again, still no answer. She glanced at the little slip of paper and then at the dorm room number. It was the right place. Where could she be though? It was past midnight. Shouldn't she be sleeping? Leaning against the door, Stephanie sighed and groaned. Now what was she supposed to do?

"Well, she has to come back sometime!" Stephanie said and then sat by the dorm room, waiting.

"Play it again Raphael"

It was the third time the video recounting the rise of the new alpha was watched by Raphael.

"Did you see it?" Ivanna insisted, as it ended once more, she knew all the details involved, she had been dissecting the video since both this one and the one of the werewolf meeting had leaked online.

"The last alpha, he wasn't tortured, some of the bruises maybe were from the fight, but he was dead long before his body was mistreated like that." Years of experience paying off, he knew the look on the face of someone that had been tortured when they died, this wolf wasn't showing it.

"Exactly, I think they did kill him, just maybe out of self-defense, he wasn't known for his calmness, and then they had to dress it up."

"Why does the new alpha look familiar?"

"Her name is Asha Love, and you recognize her out of one of two things, either you saw the business magazine on my bedside table last time you were in my room, or she reminds you of her uncle."

"Alright too much in too little, elaborate."

"Her uncle was killed by the pack, so that he would leave no trace, it was done to protect the pack, because every evidence pointing to him as the murderer someone else" she said in a sing song voice "it's a small world isn't it?"

Raphael couldn't help but laugh "So the niece of the one that took the blame for the death of Dianna's mother, is the new Alpha of the local werewolf pack"

Ivanna raised her shoulders "She wasn't very involved with them until now, she might not even know the whole story."

"And the magazine?"

"She is one of the most succesful enterpreneurs there are, she has a bunch of money she made in a company she manages herself." Raphael raised his eyebrow "I know what you think about werewolves, but not all of them are dumb animals that say what they smell, this one is smart, the faked torture is something she had to devise herself, unless she is being played by her beta which I highly doubt."

Raphael stood up and walked to the window, he touched the glass, as he thought.

"I should meet her."

"I agree, but if she brings her beta it could get messy, you saw the meeting, she is watchful of her safety, he might be the only one he trusts, and when you tell them you are a vampire..."

"I said I should meet her, not her and her beta" he made a face disliking the animalistic concept "the alpha werewolf would bring her guard dog to a meeting but"

Ivanna smiled "the succesful business woman Asha Love, would handle a meeting by herself."

Raphael turned to the window once more "she probably has alot on her head right now, I have to make myself noticeable, it's better if she contacts us. So buy buy and buy more stocks, a takeover should get her attention"

"Do I call..."

"Yes, call Carla, tell her to use the funds we have in Italy, if she needs more you decide what to use, make sure she keeps some seed money to rebuild things there."

Ivanna got her computer and left the room in silence, knowing that once she had her instructions the conversation was over for now.

David Burn

David ushered Asha outside and grinned at her as they walked back to her car

"Told you that you will be able to do it and the first bastard that didn't want to co operate you took care of yourself, doesn't seem that you need a Beta looking after you"

David opened her door and closed it behind her, he got into the passenger seat and stretched out a bit, trying work out the muscles that was kinking up. He needed rest and he gave a long yawn, before settling into his seat

"Hi ho Silver away"

David chuckled softly and he looked at Asha

"You really did well, setting up that account, arranging new homes, taking the attention away from us with this human disappearances, I hope that they understand just how privileged they are to have you as an Alpha"

Dianna headed back to the dorm room, not realizing that Tori hadn’t followed behind her. It wasn’t until she arrived at the dorm rooms that she noticed Tori’s absence. Dianna frowned when she looked around for her blonde companion. That was odd, she could’ve sworn Tori had been right behind her. In the distance she could hear loud music coming from the frat houses and rolled her eyes. She had forgotten that the frat boys were having a party tonight. If she hadn’t had to patrol she would’ve been there in an instant. Shaking her head, she sighed and walked towards her door where she saw a beautiful asian girl laying against the door with headphones on.

“Uh, excuse me..”

She was humming a song to herself, her eyes closed.

“Uh…hellooooo…” Dianna said, a little louder. “HEY, YOU’RE BLOCKING MY DOOR!” Dianna yelled and the girls eyes snapped open and she stood up, pulling the headphones out of her ears. “Oh, sorry. “

“Whatever, could you move now?” The asian girl stepped to the side and then frowned as Dianna unlocked her door. She was almost inside when the asian grabbed her arm. “Mind letting go?” Dianna asked through clenched teeth.

“Wait, are you…are you…” She pulled out a piece of paper and mouthed the words to herself before finally speaking them, “Dianna Slater?”

“Yeesss…..” Dianna said slowly, raising her eyebrow at the girl.

“Oh thank god! So uh, I just got a call from my grandmother like literally a half an hour ago…”

“Uh huh…” Why should I care? Dianna thought.

“And well, get this apparently, my great grandmother …on my dad’s side was a priestess who purified demons.”

Dianna’s interest peaked, slightly “Go on…”

“Well according to her the equivalent of a priestess in this day and age is a slayer and it skips every generation. So I guess that makes me the new slayer of the family? Anyways, getting to the point; my grandmother said that in the America’s your family is well known for their slaying ability…”

“Whoa whoa whoa, are you from Japan? You don’t sound like it.” Dianna said

“No, I’m from San Diego but uh my dad is from Japan well…most of his family is anyways. Back to the point my grandmother said it would be in my best interest to come see you since your mother…may she rest in peace, is deceased.” the girl said

“No.”

“But!”

“NO! Look kid, I don’t even know you, its late, and I have class tomorrow.” Dianna
said stepping further into her dorm room.

“Well problem solved, I’m Stephanie Stephanie Katso—“

SLAM!

Stephanie stood there with her eyes wide with shock. Great, just fucking great. The bitch just slammed the door in her face. How the hell was she supposed to do this without any help? Why did her family have to be so weird? She really should have just stayed at the frat party she had been to earlier. “Its sucks to be me..” she said with a grumble as she trudged out of the sophmore dorms and plopped down on a bench. “I officially hate my life.”

The next day...

" Why is it always so damn sunny?" Ryuki gloomed, his eyes squinting at the bright, cloudless sky. It was ridiculous! Last night it was snowing, today..like summer. " Fucking Nora.." He grumbled louder, ignoring the whispers of the general education students as he walked by. Well he did stand out, wearing the University's "private academy" uniform. Guessing from all the gawking going on, not many of "his kind" came walking about so carefree through the school's yards.

" Isn't that the lead singer of Mask?" A girl said fairly loudly, aggravating the young man. "Why couldn't Nora just sign up to be in the same academy as me?" He thought angrily, completely ignoring the desperate cries for "one little autograph". He decided that maybe a shortcut through the administrative offices would help.

Walking slowly, he admired the etiquette design, his feet making a quiet tap with each, careful step. The quietness was refreshing a bit. Usually everyone was practicing for whatever group they were in. Not like this place.. everyone was so...carefree.

Just like Nora.

"Grr.. stupid child. Why do I have to apologize because she got all emotional last night?" He thought again, pushing the outside door slightly. There it was! The girl's dorm ! And not a girl in sight! Creeping slowly down the steps he noticed her. Stephanie! " Stay calm. Be cool. Remember..you're a rockstar." He reassured himself, walking slowly towards her. He noticed her face..was she crying..?

" Um.. hey." He muttered quietly, running his long hand through his thick mane nervously. " Are you alright..?" He asked, tilting his head in slight curiosity.

The next day

Note to readers: I realize that some of you may not realize what the hell is going on between Stephanie and Ryuki so for more info please click here. Thank you!

Stephanie sat in the hallway, just watching girls pass by her giggling and chattering. She could only roll her eyes. Yesterday, she would've felt just as happy and chipper as every girl in the dormitory..until last night happened. This was why she hated talking to her grandmother. Her grandmother always found some way to ruin her life.

Oh, Stephanie could handle being a demon slayer. It almost sounded like fun until she met Dianna. Man, that girl was harsh. She wouldn't even let Steph explain herself. "I'm so screwed." Stephanie muttered to herself as she covered her face with her hands.

Startled, Stephanie looked up at Ryuki and flushed. She hadn't been crying, just having her own little pity party. First she finds out shes a 'demon slayer' then the girl who is supposed to be mentoring her in killing vampires, werewolves, etc. refuses to help her and then Dianna wouldn't help her out. Of course, she couldn't explain this to Ryuki. He wouldn't understand. He was just a mere mortal.

Were slayers immortal? Well, surely he would think she was crazy if she said anything about killing vampires or werewolves. Stephanie jumped up and nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine. Just..uh, my mentor she refuses to mentor me." It was sort of the truth. "It's no big deal, I have a way with people. My dad says I'm very charismatic so..she'll see things my way eventually." God, that almost sounded evil.

Stephanie glanced around the dormitory hallways and then frowned, "You do realize you are in the girls dormitory right?"
