I ask much more probing questions than that of people routinely IRL without a blush. But then that's part of who I am. I just want to know.

For example, I asked my personal trainer, who is Ethiopian, if she celebrated Christmas. She doesn't. I just wanted to know.

Most people who know me know that they can tell me to stuff it. They can also brush me off and I'll drop it. I'm not tactless. But if I'm wondering something fairly inert like that, I'll ask it. If it's a more inflammatory subject, I'll be more discreet.

I have enough actual worries to deal with that I like to get that stuff out off the way. It's a good way to be, I think. I'm meandering again, aren't I?

That can't be right. Must be girls. I found a size chart and a conversion that says that a US 8 is a UK 6. According to it, bust-waist-hip is 35-27-38.

But I also found an article about how size 8 might be changed...I wonder if this would make more sense if I were sleeping properly, but I doubt it.

27" - 28" waist is technically an 8; 29" - 31" is usually a 10/12 (depending on cut); 15 years ago 26" was an off the rack size 6, but I don't know if that's changed. I'm currently in a 10, but have a few skirts in my closet labeled size TWO - how's that for vanity sizing?
