Yep.

It's that time of year again.

Tonight (this morning) is supposed to be the best time to view the Leonid Showers.

Just made some hot cocoa, cuz it's gonna be a blistery 58F around 2 AM.

Anyone else settling in for the show?

psst...I also have some peppermint schnapps too....just to keep the thermostat up and going...:D

Saw from on a clear night on a mountain top in the Mediterranean. Spectacular. And don't think I'd see them that well around where I live.

Prolly not. This year won't be as spectacular as years before.

I have seen some good ones when least expecting them. In fact, the first year I saw them, I didn't even know what they were...thought I was having a flash back or sumpthin.

But all in all...I guess nothing will ever compare to the time I was nearly hit by a meteorite.

No shit.

After that, nothing compares.

But still, it'll be nice to see those things zinging across the sky and not towards me. LOL.

Too much cloud cover and rain in this area - Puget Sound....

Now that's a story that demands telling. ;)

I remember being on the island of Gotsland back in the mid-nineties and we all witnessed a shower. Not too much interference in the atmosphere and the skies were clear. That was a hell of a sight, like watching giant fireflies burning themselves out.

A little too much glare in the skies above San Antonio, I'm afraid. These days, we're lucky to see Venus sometimes.

It's so foggy I can't see the buildings across the street. :(

Overcast, raining, trying to snow. Like I couldn't see a this unless it landed in my bloody yard :(

6:17 AM and still totally dark. I just went outside. THERE IS NO SKY. CHICKEN LITTLE WAS RIGHT!

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket.
Never let it fade away.

I love that song.

Falling stars, and Misty Morning kind of goes together. :)
I'm a dreamer at heart.
