A headline in Yahoo News says:

"US Officials Say Saddam Not Talking"

Why does that strike me as funny? What's he been doing for two months? Sleeping? Holding his breath? Making hand shadows?

More than that, why do they even expect him to "talk"? What? To cut a deal with the feds? To try and get a lighter sentence? A roomier cell?

Can't they just do good cop/bad cop with him?

"Come on, Saddam. I know you're a reasonable power-mad inhuman dictator. Hey, a lot of my friends are power-mad inhuman dictators! What say you answer our questions so we can all go home and have a nice, hot supper?"
