The Sheltering Tree

Hi guys.....I'm throwing out a plea for some prayers.

I have 2 situations that are totally beyond my control...one is financial, the other health. I am asking for PRAYERS to overcome this one hefty financial problem so I can keep a roof over my daughters head...the other, that the news I get from the Neurosurgeon is positive, so that I can go back to work, or at least be eligible for SSI or SSDI.

So if anyone is tossing up a few words to the "man" upstairs, throw a few in for me, will ya PLEASE??? I'm in trouble and could use his help.

Thanks all

Enjoying the evening shade.
Sending prayers out for those who need.
Hoping everyone has a safe and fun 4th here in the states.
Keep our firemen in prayer. In just the last few minutes the alarms went off about 10 times - all firework related fires in a 4 city area - mostly volunteer firefighters. One has spread over about 10 acers and threating buildings.

Hugs to all

Not for me...but for those caught up in the blasts in London...please keep them, the emergency services and everyone affected in your thoughts and prayers

An update from Toni

Daniel is doing great. We had another care conference yesterday and they said that he is continuing to improve daily. He is still on target to get released from here on July 27. The lady also said that our insurance covers him going to cognitive rehab, but the only possible glitch is the one they primarily use, Pate Rehabilitation, usually only allows 14+, and he is 13. But they have not said no. So we will have to just wait and see. It will be a day patient. He would go for 5-6 hours a day, 5 days a week. Basically, just like school. They help them with the cognitive and get back into the "real" world. Making them as independent as possible. Hopefully, he will be able to get in and keep up or surpass where he was before and after this is all over he won't have anymore problems. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Tell everyone I said hi! Hope all is well with everyone! Hugs, Toni

There you go folks.... things are improving but we need to get him in that rehab!

Hi Folks...
I have a major prayer request. My adult kids are in the path of this major hurricane in Mobile. I have been trying to get them to leave and they may go tomorrow morning but my son wants to ride it out. Where he is staying is only 10 ft above sea level and they said storm surge could be a story tall. He is just few blocks from the beach.
I am praying he will wise up and leave with the rest of family tomorrow. But not sure if he will. This area has been hit so hard and they expect it to be a cat 4 when it hits. From Biloxi MS to Destin FL, these people are in it's path. This could really wipe a lot of people out. So please keep my kids and all the people in this area in your thoughts and prayers..
Thanks

Will do hon, your son and others in the path of the storm.

Jazey, Mary & toni also.

Update

The girls left early Sunday morning for LA but my son stayed on MS coast. Lucky for him (but not the people in FL) the storm took a northern trek for an hour or so, before going back to a NW direction. It was supposed to go right up Mobile Bay, but that jog to the north put it more between Pensacola and Destin.
My kids are ok, but I am sure there is going to be some damage. However it really weakned as it was coming ashore and went from a 4 to a 3 to a 2. So, damage is not goingt o be as bad as it could have been. Now the next thing is the damage from the storms it will produce as it is moving on line and up the states.
Thanks again for the thoughts and the prayers.

Mary,
I am keeping your family in my thoughts. Emes thanks for keeping the thread going. Seems like we three are the only ones posting lately.

I am on my way down south to look into putting my mom in a retirement center. Not a home, but a place where she can be around people. She lives alone in a house she can no longer take care of and she needs to be out of there. This is not going to be an easy sell, but I hope after meeting with the people and checking it out, she will come look at it and agree to the move. She just can not do this any more.

Keep you all posted...

Spenser

Hope this place is the right one for her and she'll be happy there. My nan moved to what sounds a similar sort of place and loved it!

Keeping my friends here in my thoughts and prayers  :rose:
