"By the time I'm level 20, I'll have some totally kick-ass equipment. All I have to do is get close enough to hit you with my vorpal sword. And don't forget that I'll easily have a BAB of +30 or so and a threat range of 17 to 20 with the Improved Critical feat."
"The keywords being 'close enough'. Even with your horse's run of 200 and your BAB of 30 plus, all I have to do is cast Reverse Gravity, and then I can take my time killing you with Firestorm and Creeping Doom."
-A paladin player and a druid player discussing what a 20th level duel would be like in Third Edition Dungeons and Dragons terms.
Incidently, the paladin player was my father. The druid player was me.
That quote resulted during a friendly arguement we had after we were in a big battle. Unfortunately, the campaign ended before either of us got to level 20, so I never got to hand him his own ass.
now there are a whole bunch of catchy phases used but they get kind of tiresome so i just put down what is actually relevant. Lot sof other things like reading and listening to music but no need for terms there...
