The paradise Island (open, players need)

I take a moment and heft the spear... It has good balance and even if the point is just wood, it should be useful. It has been about 20 years or so since I did any track and field, but I still remember some of my javelin lessons... Not that I was ever very good, but at least I had an idea of how to throw. I take a few running steps pulling my arm back to feel how the spear handles and adjust my grip for a little better angle. I am not quite ready to throw it yet but begin trying out how it feels and what seems to work best. After a bit I have some more mango and realize that Rom still sin't back and hope he hasn't gotten himself lost as well. I can't leave Aiya alone to go looking. I set the spear to the side and head down to the stream just below the camp to wash. I stay downstream so as not to contaminate the water.

It's been too long. I'm scared. I haven't found my bracelet, long since given up on it, and I can't find my way back. I could die here. And just after I'd found people, found safety. I'm so stupid! Risking my life for a sentimental trinket. I wonder if anyone has decided to try and find me yet. I hope so.

I figure I'm about a half hour out. Hope Jay likes snake. Hope Steph is back. For all I know that dress fragment could have been left heading back to camp not away from it. head down, one foot in front of the other, count'em off.

A footprint! What. I stop. A muddy spot holds a definite human footprint. Smaller than mine by a long shot. Jay is shorter. Maybe size 8 foot. Maybe he's out here still looking. Nah, this ain't Jay's foot. This female or a child maybe. Steph! Direction of travel is across mine. I snap branches away to mark this spot. Then turn and follow the line of travel.

"HELLOOOO. STEPHHHHH. HELLOOOOOO." I yell out.

I can definitely see signs of passage. Someone is ahead of me and not too far.

"HELLOOO." I keep up it up as I bushwhack.

I think..... I think I can hear someone. Shouting. "Helllooooo" rings through the foliage, a welcome sound. I feel delirious. At first I can't even reply. Then I do, cupping my hands to my mouth in an attempt to project my voice towards my rescuer.
"Here! Over here!"

"Here. Over here." I hear about a hundred metres to my left. It's Steph.

"Steph! It's Rom. Hold on. I'm coming." I call out happily. Thank the gods.

Takes me about five minutes to make that hundred metres. And there she is. Alive. I shrug off my bundle and move to her. No obvious injuries. Dress looking worse for wear. She has a twig in her hair. I take it out. Her hair is a mess. I cup her chin and lift her face up.

"That was a silly thing to do. You had me scared to death. Please, don't it again." I say. Jesus. I'm getting all misty.

I want to cry as Rom cups my chin with a strong hand. Somehow this is more emotional than first seeing survivors- perhaps having a taste, and then thinking I'd lost contact with humans all over again, was more affecting. I've never been so happy to see anyone. And I suddenly feel so safe. Safe and grateful.

I'm aware that my dress is almost hanging off now, but it seems hardly important. I meet his gaze and try not to cry.

Fuck it! Who dares, wins. they say. Not completely sure how she feels but... I take her in my arms and kiss her.

Rom has me, holding me tightly, mouth on mine. It surprises me, but I'm full of the thrill of the rescue, and a spark runs through my body as I respond. My arms come to rest over his shoulders, clasped around the back of his neck. I find myself worrying about how I smell.

Steph feels so good in my arms. I grab a hold of her ass. So round and soft through her thin dress. I used my pants for my bandolier. My boxers do nothing to conceal my excitement. I get hard really really fast.

I think here? Now? She probably hasn't eaten or drank in more than a day. Food, water, rest and a bath first. I probably smell real bad.

Breaking the kiss, I still lean in forehead to forehead and rub noses with her.

"I think we should get back. You need food, water and rest. And I would like to clean up a bit first before... I got meat! We are going to have a feast." I say to her.

Stepping back I pick up my bundle. My erection slowly, very slowly subsides. I keep thinking I'm going to bang it against a tree or something. I hold out my hand for Steph to take.

I take Rom's hand, our fingers close together. It feels thrilling- I'm saved, and heading back to the others..... with a little secret for just the two of us. He's handsome, in a very rugged way. My "type" was always a little more.... well, younger for one thing, and carefully groomed. But his features somehow fit our situation and reassure me. I think he knows what he's doing.
I can't wait to see the others too.

"Lets get back to shore. Is Amelia alright?" I ask, seeing that she did not join us. My attention drift back to Lizzy, "you always swim naked?" teasing her.

I lead the way up the slope, passes by some banana trees and we cane to the little garden. A rocky mountain at the south with clean stream of water flowing. A tiny cave at the west and surrounded by plenty of fruit trees, colorfull flowers, tall trees and bushes.

"this is our new home. I had found the wreckship and salvage every usable item, all here at this cave.

(ooc- seem like Amelia is gone. We give her another week to come back or remove the character)

Aiya gave up on weaving. She noticed that Jay had made a spear. Aiya took note that Jay was watching for someone to return as well. He had mentioned others when he found her.

" Are you wanting to go hunting. I don't mind waiting here for you." Aiya suggested.

Several thoughts came to mind. She could look for other items that would be useful around the camp while Jay hunted. Perhaps they could find extra supplies from the ship.

When Jay heads downstream Aiya checks out his spear. Maybe she could talk him into making a spear for her too.

I might be enjoying our predicament a bit too much. Or is it just live day for today and see what happens tomorrow. For today is a good day. Steph is safe. Found workable stone. Located another food source. Simple things yet so important.

I keep an eye on Steph. She's holding up. A good meal and a bath will do her wonders. Again, the simple things. Food, clean water.

Less than an hour back to camp. I can see the shelter.

"JAY," I call out, "I found her. I found Steph!"

I hear Rom shouting that steph is back. "Great!" I can't help but feel thrilled. I turn to Aiya. "Good news" Steph was found safe and Rom is back. WIth four of us we can really get things done around here to make it more comfortable. "I would love ot go hunting, but I am afraid I am not exactly an expert yet. I am more keeping this around for self-defense than anything.
As Steph ad Rom come back into the clearing I can't help but notice how STEph's dress is even closer to falling off and somehow that is even more tantalizing than if she had been naked. I give her a tight hug and try to ignore my own body's reaction. I step back and introduce Aiya as another survivor.
WHen I see the snake meat I get the fire going again and find a couple of large flat rocks that we can put near the fire to heat up and use for cooking.

After our hug, I step back and gaze at Jay, marvelling at how the people I'd spent just a day or so with previously were suddenly so important, and filled with relief to see them again.
"Hi Jay," I smile.
I turn to the girl he had introduced, Aiya. She must be about 5 foot tall, great curves. "Hello Aiya, nice to meet you. I'm glad you survived! Does that sound weird? I mean, I'm glad for anyone who's survived, obviously.. but it's nice to see another woman."

I sit down, rather heavily, on the soft ground. The fatigue is catching up with me now.

I sit down. I spill out the contents of my pant bandolier. Workable stones and six feet of fresh snake meat. Then lay down flat on my back. Totally knackered.

"Well that was a successful trip, if I do say so myself," I say from the ground, "And I hope to never have to do it again."

Still laying down I look up at the new girl and smile.

"Hi. I'm Rom. How are you?" I introduce myself, "When I get the energy to stand I will shake your hand properly."

"Jay, if you wouldn't mind cooking." I ask.

A little groggy I get up and half stagger to the creek. Water and lots of it. Save some room for solid food though.

Returning I shake Aiya's hand. Then go have a laydown on the sleeping shelter.

I smile, I may not be up to everything, but I can Cook. Even though there isn't much to go with except snake and mango I wait until the fire has burned down and get the rock into the edges of the coals. a flick of water makes the drops dance on the flat top and I pulp a mango and use the juices on the meat. The sizzle and smell of roasting meat fills th clearing As I use a couple of sticks to try and flip the meat over drizzling mango on it as it cooks. a few rinsed off leaves to serve as a sort of plate and the first hot meal in days is ready. While not exactly delicious, the hot food is welcome and I start thinking of how I can improve it.

The smell of the cooking snake keeps me awake. My body is tired but my mind races. I lay quietly with my eyes closed.

The pigs I saw are a gift from the gods. It would take a week to spear fish as much food as one medium sized pig could provide. Fucking dangerous though.

I don't like them being upstream of our water source either. With the island's origin being volcanic, there might be a freshwater spring.

Gaining some altitude might let us see more of the island. Maybe even ships on the horizon. If we're in the shipping lanes!

Should we move camp? Are we far enough inland for protection against storm surges. I've never been in a hurricane or typhoon. TV always talks about surges.

I bet if we scour the beaches we could find all sorts of stuff. Human garbage seems to find its way to all corners of the world. Should be some usable plastic things.

I have a girlfriend! And a young hot one too! The fact I start to smile might give away that I'm not asleep.

I slide the sizzlign nsake meat off onto some fresh leaves and offer it around. "It may not be much, but a hot meal is welcome. I feel much better after getting something besides fruit inside. After dinner I lay back and offer aiya the spot net to me sice Steph seems to have snuggled up with Rom

The food was surprisingly good, and I make sure that Jay knows his effort is appreciated. I managed to avoid thinking too much about what it was.... a snake.... and just chew it down. I think Jay's food talents will be very useful to us. We have a decent little band here, enough people to feel reasonably safe. I haven't seen anything that I really fear could hurt us. Yet.

Rom is warm, lying with him feels good. I can see that he is smiling. A smile in his sleep, or is he still awake? I don't want to risk waking him, he's had a long day, coming to find me. We've all had a long day. We're in this togther, whether it's an ordeal, or.... something else.

I lay down on my spot under the shelter and watch Steph and Rom and try to not feel any jealousy. I know I shouldn't as there was nothing between us, but at the same time I feel a bit odd. I firmly tell myself that it is ok and lay back watching stars through a gap in the trees where the stream wanders away from our camp.

Good meal. I'm fucking stuffed. That's it. No more today, I'm totally knackered. I read were Europeans who came to the New World were disgusted at natives sitting around a lot. Turns out in technologically primitive societies conservation of energy is crucial. Only so many calories can be hunted or gathered.

I feel Steph lay beside me. I don't have to open my eyes to tell. Turning a bit I snuggle up tight against her.

Whispering in her ear I tell her, "Tomorrow morning we are going down to the beach and have a good bath. Then I am going to make love to you. Probably standing up against a palm tree to avoid nasty sand burns."

I give her a kiss on the forehead, settle in and fall asleep.

Aiya heard the voice and saw the pair entering camp. She noticed Jay was thrilled to have his friends back safe and sound too.

Aiya politely smiled at the pair. " It's a pleasure to meet you too."

Now the camp changed as Jay set to cooking Rom's haul. Having eaten snake on a few occassiona Aiya knew cooked right makes it delicious.

Aiya shook Rom's hand and quickly saw how tiny she must seem to him and Jay. Watching him cook reminded her of camping trips with her family. Aiya was one of seven but the only girl. She wasn't too outgoing and tended to be shy. Even now Aiya was reluctant to get too friendly.

Aiya brought water in the collapsable bowl from the first aide kit. Now would be a good time to utilize the contents. However the meal was a bigger sidetrack and found herself sleepy afterwards.

Aiya did see Jay's offer but declined. Instead Aiya sat on some fronds while thinking of some of the others that weren't here. Survivor's guilt consumed her thoughts as sleep gnawed at her stressed nerves.

When dawn approached Aiya noticed some birds that resemble the guinea fowl. Those would be helpful as layers and meat. Now if she could manage to make a net... or some blanket edges to snare them with

Sleep had come slowly to me as I lay there and watched my companions. I didn't remember falling asleep, but I opened my eyes to the first rays of dawn. I stretched and looked over at aiya still sitting where she had been. I got up and blushed momentarily at my morning erection, but went off to our established are to take care of morning business and let things settle down. I cam back in and sat by aiya, "Didn't you sleep at all last night? I stirred the coals to get the fire going again. "I know you lost someone in the boat, Andrew was it? That has to be ... I don't even begin to know the words.." I sit back down... "Is there anything I can do .... ?"

Aiya saw Jay amble off as she stirred. it would be cool to catch some of those birds Aiya thought.

When Jay came back Aiya was twisting and knotting some short vines and thick grass.

"I slept a little."Aiya replied. "Yes, Anthony. We were married by the captain of the ship... and... we never....''

Aiya couldn't finish but appreciated Jay's effort to comfort her. Instead she changed subjects, " so where did you say you were from?"
