I'm determined to write something for this contest. A summer theme can't be that difficult, right?

Baseball, hotdogs, picnics, 4th of July fireworks, etc. Maybe have your characters on a picnic and getting it on in the woods somewhere.

If I could just get the words and thoughts that are in my head to leave their comfortable corners, I would do fine.

The first one I started I'm shelving until NaNo. That was the original plan for it anyway. I have another one out for a read now. Maybe I can use it.

Isn't it funny that scouries wins the A.I.R. contest, the results of which are based on what the real readers think, but he never wins a prize in the LITEROTICA “least read” category?

Yes, as of July 23rd, we have decided to add our sponsorship to this thread that had heretofore been solely sponsored by the PALACE and the wonderful LAUREL and MANU . I felt that it was my duty to give something back to the site that has given so much to me over the years. HOLIDAY CONTEST WINNERS

When a newby comes to the site he does some exploring. On the SITE CONTENTS page he sees the link: AUTHOR AWARDS. Of course he clicks it open and sees links to all sorts of different categories of awards. Excited at the prospect of winning one he clicks open HOLIDAY CONTEST WINNERS. And seems to find that the last prize awarded was in 2010! Huh? What's going on he asks himself. He clicks back. Okay I’ll try this SURVIVOR WINNER tab he decides. Gets delivered to the same page. WTF? Scrolls down and discovers that the last Survivor prize awarded was back in 2007 or 2006. WTF again!

He leaves the awards page believing there are no more contests on LITEROTICA. Another newby duped by the AHers. Another potential competitor gone…

So dear tigerlady could you please use your position as THREADMISTRESS and fix this? How tough a job could it be? A chance to show that you are willing to work for everyone, not just the old guard.

There's no actual sex, but it sets the stage for a situation I expect to get very interesting in later chapters.

Even if I'm not into contests and try to limit my postings (nice to be a virgin again I'm gonna do my duty and put this thread up where it belongs (above the fake A.I.R. stuff) with the customary warning about not listening to a word that scouries says. And at least we finally have summer in Denmark (this week), so it fits the theme.

My friend in Copenhagen says there are only two seasons in Denmark: the white winter and the green winter

My latest story was going no where, so I started a new one today. If I get it done in time, it will be my first contest entry. Keeping fingers crossed, as previous attempts have all failed to make the deadline

Yeah, well I went to Orlando a couple of years ago. The May weather in Florida had been dry and hot until then, but that week it rained so much that the space shuttle had to land in California after two aborted attempts at Kennedy. In fact, Florida hadn't had so much rain for a week since October 1924 or something like that. By the time I went home, people were more worried about flooding than drought.
The number plates on the local cars said Florida - the Sunshine State: Right, just rub it in....

And the hotel a/c didn't have a setting for 'warm' or enough blankets for the bed. At least, if you go on holiday in Denmark, you can only be pleasantly surprised if the weather is nice, and we have proper duvets.

My one and only visit to Denmark (so far) was in late July, and it didn't rain in the week I was there. Must admit, though, the friends I was visiting told me that was highly unusual. But in any case it does happen.

My friends from Florida, on the other hand, always feel compelled to remind everybody else that, yes, they do have winter there!

I have two kids that keep interfering with my program... trying to write erotic stories with a 4yo and an 8yo around, with various cartoons going in the background, does not lend itself to a lot of inspiration.
