My LW story has got many more votes than any of my others. However most don't seem to like it. Someone suggested that I not give up my day job as janitor.

My wife has been going to toastmasters for the last few years and since then has become a speech nazi (she with the prominent Boston accent mind you)

I actually went there for awhile as well because I had to give some presentations for work. So I learned to speak better, but unless I need to I'm always sounding like the THing from the Fantastic four in the 1970's.

She constantly calls me on what she says is her favorite made up word "whadaya" which I use all the time

whadaya doin'?

whadaya nuts?

and her favorite is in English "what are you retarded?" but with the way I speak and the RI accent this becomes

"whadaya re-tah-ded?"

She makes fun of me all the time.


Its very hurtful.

Interesting because in the Winter and Nude day contests my scores went up after the sweeps.

In Valentines day it didn't it went down because someone loaded my story with fake 5 votes-which when removed take legit votes with them.
