"scouries" sounds like it might be a disease of the skin.

I once knew this woman who didn't like the way contests were run around here, so she started her own actual webpage. She had courage, intellect, guile, ability and let me tell you, she could write like the wind. And now, she's making a tidy sum of money.

Can't quite remember why I brought that up just now, I'm just sayin'.

Disclaimer

Because of the way this site works these figures will not be totally up-to-date. For a given story the score shown on:

  • The category page
  • The author's page
  • The toplists page

can all be different.

Also it appears that various pages update at different times of the day, sometimes quite infrequently.

Please do not PM me asking for more detailed information. I do not wish to skew contest results by giving a target for voting manipulation.

...wood.

My LW story just got swept! It's almost at the median point now! It wasn't as bad as I was expecting, and I had a white guy's wife suck off a black man. I've been getting trollier comments lately, though, which blows. Much greater frequency than before. Not sure if that's because I had a story in LW or whether it's just the natural result of Literotica's popularity. How's everyone else finding the commenters?

I've noticed an increase in the troll population since the last few days of August -- just about the same time the lights would have gone on in most college dorms. I have suggested a possible causal relationship, but no one has taken me up on the proposal.

B

Possibly. I'm tempted to spout some Latin here:

Post hoc ergo propter hoc

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post_hoc_ergo_propter_hoc

Some stuff probably is time/date related. For example, I have by old iPod running the Clock app showing me the EST time. This is so I can correlate the frequency of posts here to the time of day. Things always seem quiet to me at some times of the day (broad daylight where I am, wherever that is).

And when I send emails I may or may not get a quick response. Probably not if the email arrives at 3 am at the recipient's house. And sometimes not even at other times of the day. Maybe the mother-in-law is around for dinner, or something. ;)

As for colleges, yes maybe bored college students amuse themselves by trolling. Maybe they are on Facebook though or amusing themselves in other ... ways.

Hi sun

I see you are a cunning linguist: your Latin is all Greek to me. I think you're suggesting I'm employing some kind of fellatious logic. (*Horrific spelling error intentional*)

What I'd like to know, from Literoticans with a longer view: does this happen regularly in September (and January) and does it drop off in June? It would make me more willing to confuse correlation with causation.

It seems my Loving Wives story is causing even more problems than I anticipated. After from this:

Go back to watching and cheering on obamma ...

It appears that cuckolding is somehow related to the President of the USA (although the poster didn't seem to know how to spell his name).

Now apparently I am to blame for the USA "rotting":

thanks to sick phuckers like you, our once-great country is rotting from the inside out.

(Thanks to TxRad for warning me that this might happen.)

I did get one supportive comment:

Read the new LW category description
"Married extra-marital fun: swinging, sharing & more."
Quit telling people stories of cheating wives are in the wrong category.

S/he's right though. The story didn't really need a warning. It had extra-marital fun, sharing, and "more" where the "more" covers some of the other stuff I threw in. ;)

I presume you are getting that in PMs and/or e-mails, because I don't see those comments on the story. They sound like they are coming from one person. You invoke "conservative family," putting one of it's members in a subservient role, and this is an election year. So, it's not surprising that you attract comments like this from a limited number of people. As far as the comments on the story itself, I thought they were quite generous.

Yes, since this is the Summer Contest thread, I only went looking in the Summer Contest list.

Sweeping without Weeping...

Still no major hits from the sweeps - if I'm getting hit at all, I'm not seeing any changes in scores. I suspect we're still waiting for the big one...

As for the harsh comments - Welcome to the club. I'm amazing how many trolls take personal offense with the author, if they don't like something about the story.

Understood, Mr. Troll, it's not your cup of tea. You don't even like the genre. You ignored the opening warning, and read all 4 chapters, complaining at the end of every one.

Like this guy, from last year's contest: (Admittedly, not the sweetest thing I've ever written)

This would have been more believable if you stopped at the end of page 3 and finished it by saying :-
"I offered no resistance when the cops came for me, and hung my head in self loathing as I realised what a sick fuck of a rapist I was. When the judge sentenced me, I knew I deserved every inch of every filthy convict's cock I was going to have crammed up my ass and down my throat for the next 15 years. If justice was REALLY going to be done, someone would cut my balls off and watch me bleed to death."

Only a really sick bastard would get any pleasure out of brutalising an unconscious woman in the manner depicted in this load of twisted shit. Or writing about it.

If justice was REALLY going to be done, someone would cut my balls off and watch me bleed to death.

His notion of justice and mine obviously differ. What if you were wrongly convicted? I believe that's happened once or twice in the past.

Of course not every story is pure gold just because it's posted here.

There's a difference between a bad comment and an unfavorable comment, and posting the latter if you have good points doesn't make you a troll.

No argument from me. Sometimes I like to poke the audience. These kind of comments actually make me smile. I know I did something right. Strangely, said story has almost half-a-million reads and 100 favorites. Write something which really is pretty evil, and they line up by the 10's of thousands to applaud. Pretty warped.

"Your Mom is Passed Out" (which garnered the friendly comment) and Bad Heather (the original, not the 'revisited', which has LOTS of similar ones) were concerted contest efforts to piss off the reader. (Since I couldn't win anyway). Didn't work half as well as I'd hoped for. Kind of scary...
