Don't feel let down. I think it just depends on the type of person on the other end. It took ages for me to get a reply to a PM, and even now the ratio is quite low.

By the time you take into account preferences about age, location, kinks and even personal preferences for avatars, the odds ain't really that bad.

Thanks for all of the thoughtful responses. Honestly I was not really looking for sympathy... Though I do like it. Honestly I do find it comical how it appears that so many women feel put off by guys making an attempt to start a conversation with them, especially in an adult forum. There is even a forum dedicated to women venting about men trying to hook up with them. I mean I get it, some dudes take it too far. But a simple, "no thanks" is all it would take. I don't like being rude to anyone who PMs me either. I've always viewed it as I would a person trying to strike up a conversation at a bus stop to pass the time - nothing wrong with that in my book.
