The difference between Fox News ("Faux" news in some quarters) and respected news outlets is simply this:

Other mainstream news outlets have integrity, an obligation for thorough investigation and a desire to tell the unfiltered truth.
Fox does not. They aer under no obligation to fact-check or even tell the truth, even after their claims are proven false. They are there to tell the viewers what they want to hear, regardless of truth. And they have been sued, and called out on this, multiple times.

Therefore no; Fox News cannot be trusted as a reliable news source.
