I finally went back to the gym.
I shouldn't have put it off so fucking long, but once it's out of your routine...

I hurt. Only a little in each area, but cumulatively - OW.
I've lost a lot of my muscle. Grr.
But I did do 30 minutes on the elliptical afterwards .

Thanks. I guess I'm really bitching at myself for putting myself in line for this kind of hurt again.
Plus this was only one set of 15 reps on each machine to set the weights, so Wednesday will be NASTY. That's when I go back up to two sets. I guess actually that Thursday will be nasty to be more accurate.

In a way I enjoy the hurt that comes from working out. Shows me I did do something with my muscles. Only problem is that it isn't really supposed to happen because it's not very healthy.

Actually a small amount of ache is good. When your muscle rebuilds, it will be bigger and stronger. But a lot of pain is not healthy, yes.

So, I started driving a little bit a few weeks ago.

So this morning, I get in my Volvo and I go to MVD to get a new dangler. I can't find a parking spot! So, even though my dangly is expired I parked in a handicapped spot. Hauled my body out of the car, crutched to the back door, leaned against the door, hauled out my little purple chair, unfolded it, sat down and wheeled into the building. This asshole cop held the door for me... How do I know he's an asshole? After watching me climb out of my car and fight my way into the chair he went out, read my dangly, and wrote me a $210 parking ticket. It was so expensive because I was "taking away a spot from someone who needs it." I know it was him but one of the road test people watched him do it. I didn't realize I had it 'til I got out to the car. I get back out there and the asshole, after watching me work my butt off to get out of the car, put the ticket in the center of the windshield, where I couldn't reach it. I would have had problems reaching it if I wasn't in the corset/wheelchair/brace/hardware of the week! So I went back in to the information desk and asked for help. The lady there was nice and came out and got it for me. She also said that when I go to court, it'll probably get dismissed. I called the court when I got home and asked if I had to come in on the day written on the ticket or if I could come in on a different day like you can for speeding tickets. I was told no, that I have do this whole song and dance routine to get the date changed or miss a morning of classes and an afternoon of therapy because it's on a fricken Wednesday.

The good news is that my Dr requested a placard for one year, though I may need it only for the next 6-8 months, depending on if I get more surgery. I'm not healing properly....

After determining that the the cop had SEEN me get out of the car, and KNEW I was in a wheelchair, the Judge (yesterday) absolutely reamed the cop for being a bully and dismissed my ticket. Then he referred the case over to Internal Affairs re: discrimination over the Disabilities Act.

After determining that the the cop had SEEN me get out of the car, and KNEW I was in a wheelchair, the Judge (yesterday) absolutely reamed the cop for being a bully and dismissed my ticket. Then he referred the case over to Internal Affairs re: discrimination over the Disabilities Act.

As for the cop, well putting a uniform on a bully, still makes him a bully just one who thinks he has power.

We get old re-runs of Judge Judy over here, God I wish you had been in her court room; I would have paid to see that

Hopefully he will think twice before picking on anyone else, sadly I doubt it; unless he gets put on probation for bringing the service into disrepute

I am fed up.

Loads of emotional personal stuff is heading my way in the next couple of weeks and to make things worse my entire family are coming over for a day next week.

Parents, sisters, nieces, nephew. My nieces and nephew are not little kids they are 16 20 & 21 years old.

I have been told, we are all meeting for a long lunch as people are driving several hours to get here and the time of arrival are unclear due to traffic etc.

I cant stand 90% of them and up until 2004 had not spoken to one sister for around 6 yrs or more.
My mother even had the nerve to ask if the sister I don't speak to could stay in my house!
Why on earth would she want to stay with me

The only bright spot is Andante will be here, and for various reasons they listen to him and know they can't bully me into things when he is around.

Of course Andante can help take my mind of their visit after they have gone by allowing me some slave time with him or by just beating me until I scream and cry.
Their visit will be pain enough, a crop over my ass will be easier in comparision lol

Yes you can choose your family if you do not mind adopting a new one that is, like I did, my real family does not accept me for who I am and wants a greatness for me without ever accepting where I am at any given moment. So I have an adopted mom and brother, thur them I have more non realated people I call my family and for the most part it works out really well.
