Yes you can choose your family if you do not mind adopting a new one that is, like I did, my real family does not accept me for who I am and wants a greatness for me without ever accepting where I am at any given moment. So I have an adopted mom and brother, thur them I have more non realated people I call my family and for the most part it works out really well.

Well that is one way of dealing with it.

Well today was my birthday. The only person who remembered was my mom. My dad didn't call, none of my sisters called, and neither did my brothers. Plus B (my four year old) had the flu all day. I took her into the ER today to get her rehydrated. So I spent the night of my birthday with a puking four year old at the ER. Joy.

I know it doesn't help any but Master Gil spent His birthday in the ER too - He was dry retching and had diarrhea in the early hours along with bad tummy pains, peritonitis had reared its head again. He ended up having two surgeries and spending 5 days in the hospital

The good thing about it is he won't get it again cos his dialysis now is haemo instead of peritoneal, but that also means spending 4 hours 3 mornings a week attached to a machine at the hospital. Joy for us too as you can imagine however the nurses are really nice and they are teaching me how to do stuff so we can eventually do it at home.

Sorry Graceanne, I'm day late and a dollar short on wishing you Happy B Day on your birthday. I have never had to be in the hosipital on my birthday but when I was a kid, I was sick two years in a row. Its a shame that most of your family did not remember either, use a calendar to mark stuff down. Maybe today the 20th you can act like its your birthday and have the enjoyment you got cheated out of yesterday??

Thanks, sweetie. *hugs* And, you're right, it could have been worse. It was only the flu, and we were lucky. We got in and out in a couple of hours. Heck, we got in before they even finished with our paperwork, I had to do the rest in the room.

World of Warcraft its and massive multiplayer role playing game much like everquest or Star Wars. So unhappy with it I just deleated the whole file and recopied the 5 discs to my harddrive. Then there are the updates so the whole thing takes like 2 hours. So if yall are wondering where I am if I am not at work or sleeping I am slaying monster and these evil allies, humans, gnomes, and elves.

My lips were really chapped (almost bleeding) and I pulled out this lip balm and thought about it and THOUGHT that I hadn't used it during the other three strep infections and used it.

Two days later I had strep. On the weekend, of course.
But then, a whole bunch of kids in the class have it now - or at least are sick - and I don't think I gave it to them all, so maybe not. It's not like I don't wash my hands and everything, I don't see how so many could have got it. One, sure.

I'm still not about to use the lip balm again though.

It was funny - they did one of those field tests where if two lines appear within 5 minutes it means you have strep, and the second line was there after about 40 seconds, so I'm there croaking, "Hello? The second line is already there. Hello?" Not in an annoying way, but I thought sitting there looking at pink lines for 4 minutes was a little pointless and I wanted to get my prescription and leave.

And then I didn't take the next day off, which I should have, but I didn't have emergency plans yet (which I do now), so I was going to take the next day off and didn't...

I'm very tired. When's June?
