There should be a month end sweep through tonight or in the morning to take care of some of the trash voting that has been going on.

I think in the winter contest they waited until the very end to do a sweep. That was pretty smart as it gave the trolls no chance to come back and hit us again.

and I noticed that there seemed to be more entries in the winter contest. Maybe a lot of people think V-day is too cliched or something. Personally I've looked forward to this one. Earth day and Nude day I really don't get, but V-Day seems like a "have to"

I agree that they are waiting to do any sweeps. They haven't hit yet. I'm not much on the nude and earth day contests either. After you have entered them for a few years it's easy to run out of fresh ideas.

I've not written for Earth Day. I will be entering this year, my goal for Survivor is to get one entry in all the contests. If possible.

I was going to say that I couldn't imagine what a good Nude Day story would be, as, to me, nudity just in itself is several steps short of being erotic--but I was thinking that, different possible of angles on the theme started popping in my mind. I'll have to reassess.

Well, I finally got my two stories submitted. I had hoped for three, but it was not to be. Lack of time and dereliction of duty by my muse.

Hopefully, they will both post tomorrow morning. It might give DC two more categories to count.

ETA: Well, that was quick service. They have both been posted. One took only about two hours and the other was about 12 hours. Of course, it is Friday morning now.

When I get in the mood to write, I might write three or four stories. If I put a contest twist to them I get a lot quicker posting otherwise I might have to wait four or five days and always lower on the submissions page. Then there is ptting a couple of days between submissions. Fun receiving comments for a longer period of time.

I write for fun and never really expect to win but have fun chatting with the other writers. Best to you also.

Wow that's a drop. Then again, if I'm not mistaken that category does not get a lot of votes so a couple of bombs can do a number on you.

I did notice some minor vote adjustments of a vote or two. One story about a half dozen but not sweeps yet. I do believe they are waiting till the end of the contest to do any major house cleaning.

I've seen so many references to the sweeps, but I'm not sure I fully understand how they work or what to expect from them. Is there a link I should check out with more of an explanation for contest n00bs like me?
