The flight to Hawaii was difficult. Alex' head was full of thoughts of Nicole... of their last night together which had been amazing with hours of exploring her incredible body.... of simply holding her in his arms...... of kissing her goodbye at the airport.......of thoughts of the two of them being together in Hawaii and not worrying about anyone or anything else. Yes, his thoughts were full of Nicole both past and future. He still believed they had a future; well, Alex hoped they did, anyway.
Once he landed in Hawaii, Alex took a taxi into downtown Honolulu, and got a hotel room. He found a very nice hotel and booked it for two weeks. He planned on taking his time and looking around to find a more permanent place to stay. He was going to take the money from the insurance settlement on his burned-down house and the money he would get from the sale of the vacant lot that his house once sat on and buy something nice... something that Nicole and he could enjoy together. Yes, it was risky to make that decision on his own, but he had no ide how long it was going to take Nicole to join him.
Once he was checked into the hotel, Alex went for a walk. He stopped at a cell phone store and bought a new cell phone and a new plan. Once the phone was activated, he texted Nicole a message that let her know he was in Hawaii and gave her his new number. "We need your support in the next election. Please remember to vote. Test STOP to opt out." It wasn't election season, but they felt it would be a message that did not draw any attention should her phone be compromised.
Alex spent the next couple of weeks touring the islands and looking at properties to buy. He had earned enough money with the networks and had invested his money wisely, so, he was able to afford a nice house. When he saw the prices of homes on some of the islands, he was amazed... and he thought California real estate was expensive.
He ended up deciding to buy a condo on the beach. He figured that it was a safe investment for right now, and when Nicole joined him that they would find something that they both wanted. Now that a place to live was decided, Alex became a true tourist. He wanted to be able to take Nicole around the islands and be her personal tour guide.
Being alone in Hawaii was getting to be rather difficult. He had not heard from Nicole since his first couple of days in Hawaii, and he was worried about her. He stayed mostly in the hotel; eating in the hotel restaurants and having the occasional drink in the hotel bar. He was wary of anyone who approached him; always wondering if they were there to get him. He wanted Nicole with him. He needed her with him. Although he was tempted to call her, he didn't. That was the deal they made, and he wasn't going to break it. "Just let me know you are okay babe. Either that, or come walking through my door with a smile on your face."
