The rain has decided to depart the area for a couple of days. The sky is a beautiful blue, not a cloud to be found, not even to the north which is almost always cloudy. Unfortunately, this means the temperatures have risen and we are back over 85. sigh. But no rain is a nice break. Makes me wish I had someplace to go.

Up until the last time change, they pretty regularly went up between 1:00 and 1:30 a.m. Eastern time. I don't see that close a time frame now. Today's stories were up at 12:15 Eastern time. That's when I saw that my today's offering appeared. I don't know how long it already had been up. It hits the various lists at widely diverging times, in addition. I see it first on my page, then on the category hub page, and only later on the "New" list.

Thanks. I think the kids are going to have us out fairly late tonight. 12:15 EDT is only 10:15 here, so I'll check. I've always wondered how long it takes for the first one bomb to hit--especially on a story that takes quite a while to read.

So I'll get the coffee ready. The brutally strong kick you in the ass, no need to peel your eyelids open coz the coffee smell is so strong you've got eyes like a beany boo's (and yes, okay, I admit it. I have three beany boos and they live next to my side of the bed... they're so cute. But they DO have big eyes. My partner woke up once with one of my beany boos looking him in the face and he actually got a terrible fright. He said it was the big eyes reflecting the moonlight....)

Anyhow, coffee is now burning the varnish of the counter. Please help yourself and do take a and have the best of wonderful days!

Well, my beloved says we can always use my coffee as paint stripper if we buy an old place. I told him we can use his old Spanish Riojas for that.

I have two stories ready for the Summer contest. Should i let them simmer for another week or so and then edit or should I get a head start on both messes? Decisions, decisions.

Afternooner all,

Spent the morning on a call with my editor and publisher. So far, so good. Two chapters left on the third book. I have those rough finished. Now I have to tweak things so they fall where I want them. So they make sense and align with the start of book four. I'm finding this gets easier, the more books I do.
