An administrative assistant at my company had a horrible fight over the phone with her live in boyfriend the other day. They were in the process of buying a house together and 1 day before the closing he was saying he wasn't sure about their future and she was hysterical. I won't go into details but they were both at fault and fortuately everything worked out and they closed on the house. The following Monday, I asked how everything was in the new home and asked about the fight and how it was going. She told me that they had basically dropped it and he was acting like nothing was wrong. She said "Although for some unknown reason he felt it neccessary to wake me up at 3am to apologize." I said "because he wanted sex and that was how he thought he could get it, by apologizing." She just laughed, but I asked anyway "Did you two have sex." "Yes" she said "how did you know?"
Wellllllllll, I'll tell ya. I blame it on sleeping "spoon." Yup, that old cuddle up manuvre reeks havoc everytime.
I've been asked by lots of female aquaintences "why do you men (we all get lumped together, it's just the way it is) always want sex in the middle of the night?!!!"
It finally dawned on me that these guys are sleeping spoon with their respective mates and between those constant REM state woodies and pressin up against your womans wonderfully contured body, we wake up horny at an unGodly hour. I decided to test my theory. The next woman to complain had to try an experiment. I asked her "do you sleep in the spoon position with him behind you?" "yes" she said. "well then try facing him when you sleep and let me know what happens."
She came back four days later and so far had not one interrupted nights sleep. She said she would now control the "sleepus interruptus" as she saw fit (somehow that made my stomach knot all up, as if I had done more harm than good) she thanked me and bounded away, no doubt to share her new found wisdom wiith other control frea...oops I mean lovely lasses.
So anyway, after all that, what do you think? Any women out there suffering from those "late night nudges?" Lemme know.
Nex
