I was just saying to LTR, I can't decide which one of these cunts I'd object to least. Cos they're all cunts. Hunt is probably the least ideologically right wing, but I remember what a cunt he was when he was health secretary.

In fact CD, Thatchers pedigree as a socialist left educational reformer is even better than that: Ellen Wilkinson had always had an interest in education but the source of her interest in Comprehensive Education is even more compelling. She attended a meeting of Socialist women in Moscow in 1921 or 22 which was addressed on this topic by Nadezdha Krupskaya. Wilkinson was inspired by this and through her, Jennie Lee was in turn influenced. Krupskaya was the major architect of Soviet school education policy for twenty years. She fell out with many of the original Soviet revolutionaries, and wrote a particularly good critique of Trotsky's ideas. She also crossed Stalin, eventually once to often, and he had her poisoned at her own 70th birthday party.

Krupskaya was of course Lenin's wife from 1898 to 1924.

It is vaguely amusing to remind conservatives occasionally that Thatcher's sole constructive achievement was owed entirely to the leadership of the Soviet Revolution.

It's worse, I don't even get to vote. 360 Tory MPs get to decide which 2 of the (currently) 11 twats standing go forward to a ballot of the wider Conservative Party. Then about 100k geriatrics decide which of the 2 becomes leader.

sean loves to bitch about things from the sidelines ( it’s easy and costs nothing) …but don’t be fooled, he could vote if he wanted to.

Party Members pick their Leaders in Parliamentary democracies.

In the USA, if a President leaves office between elections, nobody votes.

If sean wanted to be involved instead of barking from the porch, he could join the party.

(That’s what I did…. I was active in the Canadian Progressive Conservatives for many years as a left of center progressive conservative…. Up here that makes you a “ red tory”.

The “new” Conservative Party of Canada has a Leadership Convention coming up and they are leaning hard-right, so I rejoined to support the most centrist candidate.)

the best way to resolve the issue would a trail by combat session. the last two standing get to decide, by who has the fewest injuries, which one is leader. the other one could be sent to assist from Rwanda - which the tory faithful woul love.

not really, the thatcherite blairite gobshittes of new labia might be, but most traditional labour members would rather see starmer in the tory party where he belongs. other right wingers like Corbyn have their good points. most socialists have no time for career arseholes.
