Texas Roll Call v9!

Good morning Texas!

My two days in Houston were long and frustrating. The appointment scheduler who shifted my times around screwed up so I couldn't get one of the ct scans doctor requested done but I pushed to the chest scan get done instead of the new area one she wanted. And they finally had a partial result on the genetics test they did from the biopsy sample. The two factors they hope are positive were negative in me but I have a 60% protein factor which makes me an excellent candidate for immunotherapy. But the insurance company will not pay for it due to my cancer being rare and it's not a proven treatment. Yet.. I met with the clinical trial folks and the doctor there seemed real excited to get his hand on me. I mean like a kid in a candy store excited. lol. So I signed on the dotted line for a trial on an immunotherapy drug that they hope will work. I'll be one of 12 nationwide in the study. If accepted I'll do three days in Houston for the work up, a follow up for blood work a week later, then settle into one day every two weeks for the infusion. I can deal with that! Fingers crossed for me, next steps are to be accepted by the sponsor and get my insurance company to sign off on all the testing that the trial doesn't cover.

I wish you were in Houston for better reasons but hopefully the clinical trial works and your insurance covers it.

Good morning Texas! Beautiful morning outside. I went out to water my plants and discovered that they were not only fine from the rain but the only pot that doesn't have drain holes had an inch or so floating on top of the soil..

Thank you so much, Gentlemen!

Good Morning all.
A beautiful day in our great state.
Sunbunny; best wishes in your direction, you too Lollygirl.
Cheers all

Good morning Texas!

Day off and hit the ground running! First stop is breakfast out followed by groceries and errands. Afternoon is going to be spent floating on my raft in the pool. Much needed recharge of the soul.

Good morning Texas!

My insurance company stepped up to the plate and it will be biweekly trips to Houston for treatment the next year.

Morning Bunny....glad to hear about the insurance.

Good morning texas from the beach

Hugs for Lolly!
It is good news, this time next week I'll be in Houston starting my three days wrapped around testing and getting my first dose.

Did you let Jenny out of the trunk?
