And here I was with my sense of self almost complete until Ekserb had to come along and knock me down a few rungs...
Fun factoid: I got those panties for $1.99 at Wal-Mart.

But, apparently, she felt like he was knocking her down. By putting down the comments left to her, it seems to me, that she felt like he was knocking her.desired_tempest said:i kinda agree...he wasnt knockin her down...just commenting on the comment left to her...

You may be right. And I understand he acts differently than most people. Hes unique, which may be a good thing. But, I think, that if someone knocks on the things said about you on your own thread, you would think that they are putting you down too.desired_tempest said:she can stop feeling that way...he wasnt...hes not a complete asshole you know...just acts differently than most...says what he wants doesnt care what anyone else thinks...its the way Ekserb is...hes too old to try and change his ways...dont think he wants to either...from what im guessin...he can get any chick he wants with his attitude...

I can see what he is saying, that most of the things said on these threads are all sappy and lovefest type things. And hes right. They are.
Im just looking at it from her point of view. If it were me, I would think that he was knocking me, too. Thats all.
Nah. I dont ignore anyone.monique1971 said:He's already put me down. I know what he thinks of me, and I can guess what he'd think about the kinds of things that get posted on my thread. I'm not under any illusions about his opinion of me. But to me the entertainment value of seeing what he'll say next outweighs the sting of his rudeness.
If I were you, I'd put him on "Ignore" and save yourself the aggravation.

I try to be tolerant. There are very few things that I cant handle, and when I hear them I tend to shoot my mouth off. But for the most part I take the things said on here with a grain of salt.monique1971 said:You don't? Wow. You are very tolerant. I find the "Ignore" feature a discreet and valuable asset to my Lit experience.

Lorali82 said:However, I do agree with DT, I would totally fuck him if he'd let me on account of the attitude. And the HOT bod.
Ekserb said:Just wanted to revisit this post again. It reminds me of two movies.
In The Maltese Falcon, Sydney Greenstreet's character (Kasper Gutman, aka The Fat Man) says to Bogart's Sam Spade, "By jove, you're a character. One never knows what you're going to say next, but one can be assured it will be something astonishing."
I love that line.
In Howard Stern's Private Parts, one of the New York execs is having a conversation with Paul Giamatti's Pig Vomit. Pig Vomit asks why the people who say they hate Stern listen to his show for more minutes than the people who love Stern. The response: "Most common answer: I want to hear what he'll say next." (The same reason given by the people who love the show.)
Not sure if that scene actually happened in real life, but it was a great line.
So, Monique, you've elevated me to the company of Sam Spade and Howard Stern. I'm flattered!
