Tell a quick 30 second story and give a word for the next person to use as a focus in their story. Dirty or otherwise, but just speak off the cuff. Feel free to drop an audio and let people hear your voice really tell the story.

Im taking the liberty of using the prompt- voice since I don't see one above...and this thread sounds fun!

Dinner for one was getting boring, and so was sleeping alone. It wasn't that she was shy, but her job meant she only encountered people who were typically out of her scope of interest. On Sunday morning she was usually thinking about lingering in bed sinning, not gospels, and the only tithe that crossed her mind was in the form of punishment for misbehaving.

She wasn't sure how she ended up here, of all places...a church. Every time she went to work she waited for a lightning bolt to strike her dead. She would definitely classify herself as spiritual, but definitely not ...here is the church, here is the steeple...religious.

The job was easy and stress free. And paid way better than her last. Mostly, it consisted of answering the phone and keeping the octogenerian volunteers organized and into this century when it came to business affairs and policies. This church was big and needed some restructuring and standardization. Gone were the days of typing records with carbon paper as a backup. But to most of them, it was always the way.

This church was liberal for a church and one of the few gaining younger members. And the new minister quickly pounced on some of 'youngins' to volunteer. Throughout the week many had called the office to welcome the new admin and see how they could help.

On this morning, Ruby froze in her seat as she answered the phone and said said good morning.
"Is this the good girl who likes everything orderly?", with a light chuckle.

Normally that would annoy her, but something about his deep tone and slightly teasing voice had her stammering out a, "yes indeedy".

Groan...indeedy?
Whatever, she thought. Can't take it back now.

"Interesting", he said, "I love a woman who likes to know exactly how things should be done."

Was he deliberating being this way or was he just being condescending?
