I feel comfortable speaking in Jeff's stead here. Especially since we have ten charachters, nine players and only three females. Just the fact that you'd be taking us one more step towards balanced is a good thing.

The other auditor has the flu so I am working seven days straight. I am usually pretty tired in the mornings after working and have not felt like posting. But I only have two nights left to go, then I get three days off. So, I will probably post on Thursday, unless I get a surge of energy and post sooner.

Sorry I haven't posted. Finally came off my seven day week, but I just had a tooth pulled and have been feeling very sad and lonely lately, so I haven't felt much like posting. I'll try and have something up soon though.

Sure. And sorry everyone, I just thought I'd attempt to pop in and explain why I haven't been on much. The hotel I'm living at has shitty internet, it keeps cutting out like every few minutes. It's been getting worse lately, and so I have been trying to avoid the internet so I don't get so pissed off. There are times I scream and cuss at the laptop and almost want to go downstairs and make the owners suffer for every fucking with the old, good net they had. I wanted so bad to make then beg for forgiveness and make them swear they will never do this to me again and that I will always have a good connection and if it ever has any problems whatsoever they are fucking dead.

That's when I realized the slow internet was going to drive me insane and I hated all that pent up rage. My taxes are filed and within two weeks I'll have my money. Looking to be into an apartment with my own dedicated net set up by Feb 15th. Posts from me will be rare until then.

We've got Ben 10 and Danny Phantom in this iteration of the Titans. Feel free to either take an established Titan or make up one of your own. Jeff usually has a "don't play Superman or greater" rule in effect so don't go nuts on your powers but that aside do what you do and Jeff can put me in my place later.

Starfire and her culturally ignorance of earth is way to much fun. I wish I still had some of the fanfics I had of the Titans. Its not that the others aren't fun but you can literally do damn near whatever you want with her because Tamarack clearly runs on rule of funny. Her walking in on Raven being intimate leads into a threesome not because she thinks of a threesome but apparently they have deep throating contests back home. And lets be honest that's not the most absurd thing she's said.

I wasn't commenting on whom was more attractive. Raven is indeed awesome (and a bit OP) but my point is writing, at least for me, starfire is always fun because her home world has the strangest traditions. Raven, while I understand her I have a hard time writing her in anything other than combat and even then I have contrive reasons why she isn't wiping the floor with the other guys. I mean seriously she's like the Martian Manhunter where he either has some limitation that they never told us or he's very very stupid. Someone is holding me. I shall struggle! I could always turn into a snake or something else small to get out of this grapple, or something to large to wrap your arms around, or I could go etherial. I shall struggle!

From a writing standpoint, Starfire is easier, unexpected responses and confusion at normal events used to humorous effect, fun, but easy. Raven on the other hand is interesting to write for, how do you make the character active while still doing the whole no emotions thing, how do you keep the character interesting, and given the nature of this board, how do you legitimize any intimate relationships she may end up having? Its a question of challenge in characterization, though I do agree that some suspension of disbelief is necessary for power balance, but that's kind of always needed in thing like this.

Also, I say again, purple hair, I cannot stress that fact enough, purple hair.

I can role-play either of them about equally easily. Star-fire you play for laughts, Raven you play for overblown drama. It's clear that it's not that she doesn't have emotions it's that she's keeping everything in check. Given that we don't in most stories see their lives 24/7 and instead see them once a month when something tries to kill them its not that hard. I hate her in fanfics where I normally just banish her off the team until/unless some high tier threat shows up where it's really Raven and the people buying time for her to do her thing instead of the Teen Titans.

Appearance:

Of average height, with long dark hair that she ties back when she's working, she has large, deep brown eyes, and a delicate, almost sculpted face. Her suit is black and a matte platinum grey. Black for the main body and armour, grey for the undersuit that brings the components together.

Skills:

Michelle is a genius, a child prodigy, she possesses an advanced understanding of physics and mechanics, enough to rival most Professors, along with an impressive aptitude for Chemistry and Biology.

Gear/Equipment:

An advanced battle suit complete with flight and weapon capabilities. Including energy based blasters (think Iron Man) and enhancing her strength to inhuman proportions.

Powers/Abilities:

Michelle is possessed of no superhuman powers or abilities, depending on her suit for her crime fighting skills.

Background:
Michelle was born into a wealthy family, her mother a successful business woman and her father a scientist, it was from him that she developed her own fascination with science, often accompanying him to the workplace when she was ‘ill’. Unfortunately, on her 9th birthday her parents had agreed to take her to the pictures. On their return to the house they found it ransacked and three large and dangerous looking men waiting. They grabbed her mother, using her as a hostage to ensure Mark Thorne’s co-operation, he told Michelle to run, then went in to face the men. Still running, all Michelle heard was two gunshots. Terrified, she hid in a neighbours garden until she was discovered by the police searching the neighbourhood.

With no surviving relatives she was put into foster care, living with a number of foster parents over the years her astonishing intellect intimidating otherwise kindly people. She had already attended University, earning a degree and doctorate before she was 17, then when her full inheritance was released from trust on her 18th birthday she began work on her grand project.

Little by little, parts traced from all over the world began to arrive in her small, two-bedroom flat, one room converted into a workshop and kept almost permanently locked. It wasn’t long before the suit began to take shape, making use of a lightweight titanium alloy she built up an outer shell, filling it with complicated circuitry and mounting an experimental nuclear power source on the back. Of her own design, the supply is incredibly efficient, producing very little radioactive waste, but enough to justify the small radiation-shielded chest she bought a few years ago from Europe.

Soon, she was done, she struggled a little when she first put on the suit, unused to the effect of wearing over a hundred pounds of armour plating. On powering it up however, it became a second skin, interlinking directly with her mind through a spinal uplink, the most risky part of the whole suit.

Being the resident dick I'll say three things here. First off charachter approved. You're not overly powered, depending on how much super strength you have you aren't by any stretch of the imagination the most powerful member on the team. Its a toss up between Danny, Ben and Beast Boy who's the most powerful in terms of how they use their powers. If Beast Boy was ever actually trying to kill somebody he'd rock just about the entire cast in a heart beat. Who here can survive having a blue whale dropped on their head? Oh you can? Fine. How many people can survive said blue whale forming in your mouth or stomach after I become a gnat and fly down your throat. None of you? Thought not. So that's fine.

When over half the cast are literally lifted in full from another medium Robin, Danny Phantom and Ben 10 are all just plucked out and the only reason they have profiles is some of you aren't as big a nerds as some of the rest of us and need to be told who we're playing we don't get to be but so picky about other people being creative or not. I certain wasn't.

That said really? Basically you mooshed Batman, Ironman and possibly Lucy Lu from Kill Bill together and came out with female Ironman? At least its rather well written.
