So, I was walking the dog this morning, walked past a car a couple of blocks from home that had an upside down pineapple displayed beside their license plate. Now, I know what it’s supposed to mean, but what do I do with the information? I mean, do they want to be approached? I’m thinking it’s possibly a joke, or trap to see who will out themselves. I do think it’s nice to have a symbol like this, but can it be trusted?

That's a pretty intense commitment to a tiny bit of humor.

Maybe! Write down your number, draw an upside down pineapple with it, and pin it under their wiper.

I honestly can't think of a reason why someone who isn't in the lifestyle would have it.

Pampas grass it was popular in the 70s and 80s if you planted it outside your house in a front yard it signaled you were in the lifestyle and hosted key parties

It’s a pretty clear signal for those in the lifestyle. I wouldn’t worry about a trick or whatever.

If you don’t want to approach them directly, which I know can feel awkward, maybe figure out a way to meet them at a neighborhood event or just introduce yourself when out on a walk or whatever and let it grow organically from there.
