Supporting Red...

Love and warm thoughts for Red! Sorry I haven't been around much, had three submissions due today for a novel writing contest...

And you do it so well.

(((hugs))) Take yourself to the Doc then. This stuff that is going around is NOT good!! *that's my angry face*

Work is good here, a bit hectic. A couple head honchoettes are visiting over the next couple of days; so this stresses out management. Me... I'm just a small speck in the scheme of life, so I just plan on doing my job.

Dang... Has it really been this long between posts?

Thank you (((((((Red)))))))...

Well, I did survive with out another visit to the Doctor.

The cough is almost gone with just a little mornong clearing necessary, but I've returned to the gym.

The first three visits I wasn't ready for a full work out, so we concentrated upon cardio to rebuild my lung capacity and endurance.

The best news is that I have hit a historic low body fat % and remained weight consistant over the weekend... :nana:

I'm currently 177.4 pounds and 16.9 %BF and 30.3 fat mass.

I have been AWOL due to resuming my gardening efforts.

The Mrs. purchased some Marigolds and Snap Dragons to add color plus a 2 gallon bush...

I amended a bed in preperation of planting the flowers, but after completion, I watered and had a geyser from a broken sprinkler line and later, when the timer came on, most of my low voltage lights were not operating.

That 10 hour day then became two more to locate the leak and cut wires, repair and re-bury and I still hadn't planted anything...

The longer I was working, the more I noticed needed rearranging, so I reloacted a couple daylillies, potted one due to a lack of room, and finally yesterday got half the flowers planted, but as I lack a place for the new 2 gallon bush, I'm also working to remove Rosemary planted on a slope in preperation of planting, but this takes greater care to insure I don't damage existing sprinkler lines.

I spent over three hours yesterday clearing a 3 sq. foot area.

Then regular pruning and each finished bed gets a covering of Redwood mulch.

I do have a couple of my new Bearded Iris in bloom, one a deep purple and the other a bright yellow, both side by side.

Today is a day of rest and so I can get caught up with my friends... :rose:

I trust all is well, but shall scan the latest posts.

Much love to you...

What a day... But I don't want to go into details, let's just say...It's been a ride.

Anywho...

I told the spouse this morning that come next Friday (because that is when I get paid) I'm going to join Curves. I drive past it every day I go to work, if I drive through this one particular town. They "claim" a 20min. workout will work all the places I need worked, so why not give it a try?

The YMCA is on my way to work also, but we really don't use it as much as we should for what we are paying.

I am enjoying this weather, and looking forward to discovering what plants I have outside. I know right now I have peonies, surprise lilies, irises and day lilies. I have one tulip plant as well and I believe one rose bush.

I'm going to look for a used rottotiller and see if I can con my dad into helping me learn how to use it properly the first time out. :D

As far as weight progress goes. . .well again I'm holding steady. I'm 50lbs away from the 170 goal I set for myself, but I may hit 180 and say... done. LOL After all that is the goal the surgeon said was a good one for me. :D The dietician wants 160. I see that more realistic after I've had the skin surgeries.

Ah, yes...

My same issue ((((((((Red)))))))... :rose:

My gym is about 1 mile away and an easy walk, but if I don't have an appointment with a trainer, I won't go...

Not that I'm lazy, but have so much to accomplish that I just stay too busy and neglect myself. It also helps on those days where I really am lazy and need some motivation.

The guidance is invaluable too since I have limitations. I now have a new limitation... No Jumping at all... Mrs. Au laid down the law.

She is correct that my spine doesn't need any further abuse...

You go Red... :cattail: Smaller, intermediate goals work best.

 Hello there everyone. :D

au_man - You've been a busy fella! lol... I've just been fighting allergies and a head cold. I bought two flowers though, granted they are in the house because it is still too early to put them outside. I do look forward to finally getting out there and doing more stuff with my yard, though that means time and that means days off, which I don't get too many.

LOL... Ya, a bit too, but it is spring and soon summer heat will make working outside nearly impossible...

Just makin hay while the sun shines, besides, boredom bites. :D

Hope you have a great weekend. :rose:

OMG please my darling Red tell me why when I read this I thought you were after a used rotweiller????   Maybe I need to go back to bed 'cos I am not as awake as I think I am??

Nooo... the allergies were tree pollen, not flower!
Have a nice weekend, friend.
I hope you had a good one too, and your week goes splendidly.

I used to make hay as a kid and a teen. We'd bale it and load it, and put it in the barn. I even got to drive the truck and the tractors. :D

*chuckles* No. I don't think a rotweiller will work the garden the way I need it to be worked. ;)

Hugs and Kisses for you too.
