I'm not totally sure how to word this, so please forgive my awkwardness.

The other night Sir did something to me that has left me in what feels like a limbo, I can't really focus on anything but all my senses are heightened to a new level- see what I mean about my inabaility to make sense?- anyway, using the edge of the paddle he traced it accross my back, obviously it wasn't sharp but a rough edge did scratch a little and from that moment I disappeared from the reality of that moment and went into my mind.
I've been reading loads lately about brandings, cuttings, knife/ blood play purely out of morbid curisoity, the idea would be a limit for me, a hard one, or so I thought, but I now seem preoccupied with the thought and am spending far too much time online reading about it all.

So my question is this, did I find 'sub space', was I dancing with a fantasy that invaded my head space at that moment and had nothing to do with what was actually happening or was it just my subconscious playing tricks after heavy bedtime reading ?.

This may sound way off, but it has confused me grately and I don't feel able to talk to Sir about it indepth until I understand it more myself.

Thank you for you time

edited to try and make readable, failed I think

Whoa.

Congrats on making me stop and think hard with a well posed question.

i have no idea how to ask this without looking like a total perv living vicariously through your experience. Screw it, i'll be direct. Have you and your partner indulged in "scratching" play before? Breaking the skin and perhaps drawing blood normally makes most of us sit up and take notice.

Just taking a shot in the dark here, but i'd say between your research, your thoughts and the serendipitous scratch of that rough edge, your partner hit one out of the park, and you straight into the lala land many seek. If it hammered you that hard, good or bad, sit down and talk with him about it. Might be an area ripe for further exploration. Best of luck.

nope, nothing that comes even close in my mind, but I will talk to him, once he recovers from the ikkies I've inflicted upon him (served him food poisoning)

thank you for the reply xx

The first time I hit subspace was a shock to me - actually I thought I was about to pass out from the lightheadedness and it scared me really badly lol But once I knew what was going on, it was like I was floating above my body and I had all these delicious feelings and thoughts going so fast through my head and body that it is hard to process them.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, that in going to subspace and trying to straighten out all your thoughts on what happened, these types of "play" may seem more and more like something you want to try. Now brandings and scarification I would really sit down and think about - as they are something that will be with you forever. Cuttings, blood play, knife play, scratch and bitting play, even needles...if these are something you really want to try, sit him down and tell him what you've learned from your research and tell him it is something you want to TRY. You don't have to like it after trying it, but that you're curious about the sensation is something that is real. If he doesn't feel comfortable with doing this to you, maybe he would be ok at looking at your local community and finding someone who will be willing to teach him how to do needles and play with knives safely.

To be honest, you run the risk of overanalyzing anomalies and distracting yourself when you try to make sense of each thing that happens. There are dozens of passing feelings I've had that never returned and ultimately don't have any relevance to my daily life. Putting a small thing under a microscope and assigning it too much importance might throw your whole relationship out of whack.

I know some time has passed since you made your post, but I would simply file away what you experienced and see if it becomes a recurring event. It is hard to diagnose anything over the internet but that is my gut reaction to your question.

It seems to me that you did reach the depths of sub space. It also seems to me that this is something you should bring to your Sir's attention so that you can have as many repeat experiences as possible. (Especially if you enjoyed your foray into the warm depths of space)
