Stomach Stapling on the Web and Carnie Wilson

I understand that it was "morbid obesity" that spurred her to take drastic measures in an effort to lose weight. Was it necessary to staple her stomach? Should she have posted it on the web live? So what's your opinion of this?

Myst, I've taken care of quite a few patients after this procedure, and I have seen them a year later. It does work for most people, and when they get to that point, if they don't do something they will die anyway. Usually they won't consider it until they are at least 300 + pounds. But, I will also add that I have seen 4 people die from it due to infection and complications. I would consider it if I were that overweight.


And to add. No, I wouldn't have it done for everyone to see.

i think she looks real good now, but in my opinon i wouldn't want to view something like or share something like that with the rest of the world it would be personal but hey whatever floats her boat

I feel that stomach stapling should be the utmost final resort, when all else fails. I agree, Carnie Wilson looks awesome. (Did Jennifer Holiday get one too? She looks stunning.)

I have a friend who had her stomach stapled almost a year ago and has lost over a hundred pounds so far.

mentally speaking

The thing about Carnie is that she speaks constantly of food. In every article or interview, she talks about what she had for dinner or what she plans to have, in almost an obsessive way.

She handled the symptom, that's for sure..she *can't* over eat, or indulge herself in chocolate...it will simply make her terribly ill.

(She did it out in public because they agreed to pay for her stapling)

But was about the cause?
